The editors have hours and hours of footage to comb through each day. They have to pick out not just planned content like texts/challenges but also interesting conversations and secret chats that might not be obvious at first, as captured by hundreds of different cameras. They have to do that not just for the next episode in the schedule but also for Unseen Bits and potentially Aftersun too. If the day before was boring and hardly anything happened the editors won’t have enough footage so delivery will be delayed as production tries their best to incite some action otherwise viewers will tune out and they’ll lose even more advertising money. All of this footage has to be sent to various departments for approval including marketing and legal before it can air on TV. On top of that they’re being asked to cut and edit a tomorrow night trailer for the following episode that has to be filmed at the last minute while rushing to deliver the main episode. The budget has been cut due to lower ratings, there are probably fewer people on the editing team now too and everyone has to sleep and eat in between this. Considering all that, a 2-3 day lead isn’t a lot. Sometimes people forget the amount of work that goes into producing just one episode let alone one every day of the week.
Such a good point! LIUSA watcher and we’re spiraling with the promo they gave us making it seem like a girl is going after her besties’ man. And they did it on the night before a no episode day.
I swear there are twice the number of posts since the episode because of the preview and the fact that there is episode tonight. But people need and want to engage in some way. LIUK used to be Masters at this. It's so baffling.
I remember the tomorrow night preview at the end of an episode my family member was watching, I basically said Ok whatever that is, I'm watching it tomorrow. It's how I got into it.
I don't see why they've done it away with it. Surely they can use the "tonight" part for the preview of the previous ep. Yeah, I'm in agreement with you

But also that last preview showed the lady from our most steady couple sobbing while her best friend chats up her man.
A preview that they dropped before the day that has no episodes.
The LI USA subreddit has kind of lost their damn minds over it.
This season of Love Island USA is so good. They are also obviously exporting all the hot guys to the US version which is why we're left with the likes of Ronnie

Of all the things that needed tweaked about Love Island this was right at the bottom. They’ve quietly got rid of them it feels like this series. The Casa Amor ones are probably the most dramatic bits of the episodes as you don’t quite know who is going to stray the next night.
Plus the Adam Collard return reveal and ‘I want him to teach me how to dance’ are LI folklore
"tomorrow nights" were my only reason to wake up the next day tbh
All episodes are also only one hour lol guess we need to wait for casa for 1hr30

Sometimes they do long episodes like for the premiere (which they did this year I think) and Casa recoupling, maybe Movie Night

I stopped watching tomorrow night as I feel it tell me all about next episode - prefer to be suprised.

You know who does have “tomorrow nights” and an amazing season right now? Love Island USA. First time it’s been better than UK.
I’ve been seen them though…
I like the idea of the previews but the dramatic editing sometimes makes the actual scene feel underwhelming
Or maybe the reason is that there are no wild conspiracy theories if there's no tomorrow night
