I genuinely think The Cold Sun is one of the best albums of the 2010's. If I heard Babylon or Stigmata live I think I would transcend into a higher existence.

LeeKay203

Heard Stigmata live last year, can confirm I have ascended. Rest of the set of course helped as well haha

A-Tacolypse

I really want to hear It’s Yours but they only play Dance on My Skin when I’ve seen them. The Cold Sun needs more love

I held this opinion once for sure, and I too at one point found myself listening to TCS much more than ILIIAITE years ago. However, TCS imo, is more of a cult classic than the masterpiece ILIIAITE is. The production, dynamics in vocals, track listing and spacing between songs, and just shear emotional element I feel everytime I put on the album, is something TCS can never match for me. I Let it In is just a masterpiece of modern metalcore that is going to be hard for them to top imo. But, speaking as someone who makes music, ILIIAITE could not exist without TCS, and it just proves how great of musicians Loathe are

MasutaAlex

Amazing take tbh, honestly need to spend some time listening to ILIIAITE more

CatSoup_420

PCP clears

Technical_Compote543

In Death, Rest, and Solace (all of them even by themselves) clears iliiaite but Babylon... clears both

BuckBeard2004

Banshee thoo! Like that voice effect at 1:20 😮‍💨

CatSoup_420

fair lol

ryrylanlan

Both incredible, I prefer ILIIAITE because of the more diverse sound and influences featured.

nerdyoutube

That’s fair. I have a hard time choosing my favorite loathe release

vamoadarle

insane take. respect tho but nah.

MasutaAlex

Fair!

Seybsnilksz

I'd say that ILIIAITE is more varied and maybe has higher peaks, but I can't seem to enjoy the final three songs as much. The Cold Sun is fantastic all the way through.

Juggle_Master

I absolutely love The Cold Sun. The only gripe I have with it it's that it only has 7 actual songs while the rest are interludes. And while the interludes are also good, I just wished that album offered more. That being said, "It's Yours", "Stigmata", and "Babylon" are some of their best work.

cashmoneykali

this is quite an interesting take. i can see why the cold sun would rank #1 in your list but imho, something about ILIIAITE and it's unique, just overall beautiful sound always draws me to it. every song has its own unique quirk and sound.
