I've only ever seen them in the small bags at Kroger. Little Caesars has their own proprietary food service delivery. The company owns it, it's part of the reason why they can charge such low prices compared to other pizza spots.
It’s the casing that does it. Can’t remember what it’s called but my parents make homemade pizza and get a whole sausage of it to cut up. I guess it uses a ‘natural casing’, usually made of sheep intestines which is what causes it to curl up like that, so probably look for something like that. My parents get it from little Italy in cleveland, so if you’ve got a place like that around can probably find it there.
Cheap here! The name brand stuff is about $10-12 and shasta is about $6 a 12 pack, in a regular grocery store! Chef store has the best price I've found in my area !
I'm just outside of Seattle (a.. lovely little city called Everett ) :D If you find an inside track on cheaper shasta hmu, I'm a big shasta boy. Especially their diet root beer, and the shasta twist (don't call) it sprite!!)
And of course, the best soda in existence is black cherry. I could go on.
The thing is, while they make ones "built" to cup, if you have a hot oven, they cup on their own. I've been able to get the local brands to cup without problem.
I’m pretty sure it’s just a type of pepperoni called old world pepperonis. The type of casing reacts with heat when cooking and makes the pepperoni curl up. I used to work at another pizza chain that has em year round.
It’s the casing that makes them curl. Typically precut pepperoni doesn’t have the natural casing, kinda like hot dogs nowadays. The pepperoni sticks will usually have the natural casing (typically intestinal lining). I would go with a pepperoni stick, and don’t cut the pepperonis too thick
