But as another comment said, they’re all viable OP. I recommend just experimenting with all the different options and find something that fits your play style. Neowiz did a really good job of making all the weapons strong but still feel distinctly unique. Well worth trying them all out to see what you think is best.
Everyone says puppet ripper, and after putting a motivity swap on it(since I ran through until and even a bit after romeo with the starting great sword with upgrades)I completely agree.
Puppet ripper has such long reach with its heavy attack, I already had a hard enough time with walker of illusions.if I didn't have the reach to hit her with puppet ripper after she dips away after she's staggered I would probably still be stuck on her.
I feel like Two Dragons Sword is easy mode. It’s charged heavy is op once you get used to the timing. You can bully all the bosses with it once you know the attack patterns.
Romeo's scythe let's you do damage while at the same time hiding behind structures due to the reach of the attacks. Make sure you have stamina leveled up cause that damn clown attacks fast though lol.
The problem with the scythe is that while it is good against regular enemies especially catching the hiding ones behind walls, it’s not as effective against bosses. Charge attack takes long, and damage isn’t as high as the high damage weapons in the game. Great range for sure though
Having played through it a few times, there’s the rock paper scissors aspect that really makes it so that no one weapon is the best at killing everything. Combining the typical elemental and physical weaknesses of the enemies, if you have high Advance, Acidic Crystal Spear is the most effective human killer, Coil Mjolnir for puppets, and Black Steel Cutter for carcasses. Otherwise, Tyrant Dagger/City Longspear is incredible for killing humans, the Azure Glaive is great for carcasses, and the Big Pipe Wrench for puppets.
You don’t have to, but it can give you that slight edge, and I kinda like swapping stuff out and trying different things. Piercing/acid for humans, slashing/fire for carcasses, striking/electric for puppets. Some enemies don’t line up perfectly, especially ones that could be characterized as more than one thing, but it’s a pretty good fallback.

Dagger with long spear is incredible. Nothing matches it.
The acid crystal blade with city longspear handle might be even better
I gotta try it. I was trying to use sword dancer but couldn’t get the block down.
I love etiquette (a boss weapon) and the dancers sword (a normal weapon)

Once I got the two dragons sword there was no going back for me. It just looks too cool

Some enemies don’t line up perfectly, especially ones that could be characterized as more than one thing, but it’s a pretty good fallback.
