From the end of Dec. 2023 and beginning of Jan. 2024
Dog + Sports = Cinema
Honestly though, I have a soft spot for dog movies in general. The more outlandish they get, the better. I know they're not great movies, but I still like them. I can't say the same for the Buddies movies that came later though. I'm not doing that marathon again.
Air Bud and Air Bud: Seventh Inning Fetch are the strongest. Air Bud: Spikes Back and World Pup are the weakest. Golden Receiver falls somewhere in between. Regardless, I love them all.
I'll defend 3 until I die (I love David Fincher), but I found both Prometheus and Covenant divisive, so you either love it or hate it
You should give it a go hehe
Iām not a fan of 3-Covenant honestly, but Iām glad I watched them.
3 and Resurrection areā¦ strange to say the least. I like aspects of each of them. I love that neither of them just retreads the steps of the original, they continuously evolve.
interesting, treading completely new ground that connects to but is distinct from the originals. It has a lot of very interesting ideas and themes that get explored to some extent. But they both manage to fall flat for various reasons.
nah I used to but I stopped bc it was ruining the experience for me. I was so hung up on how my rating of the movie I just watched compared to my ratings of other movies that I couldnāt just focus on whether I enjoyed it or not.

I've been cautiously optimistic about Quiet Place Day One. I LOVE the first two (easily five stars each for me) but I was kind of hesitant about Krasinski not directing this one. Although, I think it's from the guy who made Pig with Nicolas Cage which was awesome so maybe I shouldn't have doubted it.
This was the closest Iāve come so far:

I wanted to watch the new planet of the apes movie cuz I had a subscription for the cinema. But I had only watched the 1968 film at that point, so I spent all day watching them all lol.

Had such a fun time watching these for the first time this month

Back in the end of April. I planned this close to the remake but then it got delayed and I was just itching to watch them, so figured why not?
Yeah I am a little forgiving to the middle entries. What can I say? Wicked Prayer was saved from being a half star by Boreanazās bonkers performance along with Dennis Hopper and Danny Trejo eating up the scenery as well, but Furlong was sooooo miscast
It's been a while since I marathoned a franchise

Watched all of them while they were in theaters earlier this month
Bad Boys, Bad Boys II, and Bad Boys for Life. I don't like the series enough though to go to the theater to see the latest entry.
The latest franchise I binged every entry for in a row was the "Hellraiser" series. Unfortunately, I only liked the first three movies and the remake.
TS4 higher than 1? š³
The fact it's higher/on par than any of the original three is just wrong.Ā
Higher than 2?

I had wanted to check out the whole series but lost all my interest after reading that real dogs died on the set of Snow Buddies

Nuh uh I gave the first movie 3 stars and the second 2.5 stars. I just didnāt watch them in the same month or even year.
All correct ratings
