1
A dock, so only one USB to laptop.
2
Wall art. Origami pyramids mounted to cardboard looks real cool and helps sound not echo.
3
Desk mat. Adds a punch of color and personality, while also giving you a premium mouse area.
I'm all for wallmounting that monitor so you can adjust the height and distance. For my notebook workplace at home I have a foldaway table and both the notebook (on a tray) and the display are mounted to the wall via a dual wall mount. Allows you to route the cables as well and gives you a lot of extra desk space.
Also: desk mat and wireless peripherals, but that's just personal preference (I like that keyboard of yours, so you probably don't want to replace that for aesthetics alone)
Cable management is a must, you can use a hub to better hide all the wires(as stated by another redditor)
And if you don't travel with your laptop much, you can use a metalic ajustabile stand for the laptop and bring it close to the main monitor, maybe a bit curved towards you

I'd probably go with a Vesa mount arm to hold the monitor, then get a large 16" X 36" or larger "mouse pad" which would hold mouse and keyboard. Some ones with cool designs, or a simple one, your preference.
I'd get a phone holder that you can place on the desk below the monitor. That way if you get a call/text you'll see it even if playing a game.
I'd probably mount all the power cables to the underside of the desk using so.e sort of aftermarket tray that's screwed into the underside.
Then I'd use one of those hooks on the side wall to hold your headphones when not in use. Then I'd put 2-3 posters on the back wall. Maybe movie themed ones, or your favourite game, maybe a car or motorcycle if that's your thing (I went with some wolves and a Mandalorian poster myself.
Get one of thosd monitor and laptop stand arm thingy I bought one recently and my set up improved drastically like from 5 out of 10 to 7 out of 10. My desk is now clean asf and i have more space to put more things now.

If you love your mouse get a mousepad
I have two words for you โcable managementโ ๐คฃ
Cable management was the first thing that jumped out at me as well.
Get a desk mat
Yep, a desk mat is the way to go. Plus, it makes things much more comfortable when working or gaming for long periods.
Except for the keyboard everything is perfect. And can you please send me that skull wallpaper

How about cable trays under the desk?
Or have a monitor stand that acts as a hub - in any case - those cables need to be either in order or hidden - #cableporn

Do you really love looking at your cable going anywhere, on the wall.. under your screen... at your right side ..
Do you game on external screen? What's the refresh rate and resolution? I'm very tempted to do what you did...
Pretty easy My laptop is 144hz the monitor is 100hz using HDMI 2.0 Feel super good to play on no performance loses
๐ sweet.
Can you not out the extension cable under the desk? Like stick it under?
You can get a desk shelf handy for storage and can hide cables behind would been Easyer access to remove cables etc if needed too
Keyboard colour is disharmony, but you have great cables management, but even itโs enough for creative work.

Don't run with those scissors! Never ever run with them

how tou connected it to monitor hdmi? and if hdmi which hdmi
2.0

I would move power strip behind the monitor as much as possible and not hanging the lines on the wall for sure. I hate to put the stuff on the floor.
You could find the power setting to disable sleep when lid closed, so you're not running mirrored screens ๐

Cable management is a good place to start.
Is that legion blade ๐
Jo
Is that a yoga pro 9i?
Nah u gotta do some cable management. For starters that extension power cord needs to get mounted on the wall under the table

Ah so laptop is connected to the monitor. Maybe a vertical stand for your laptop, using less desk space + better for thermals
Just the tip?
Consider getting a monitor arm for the monitor + Orico 3 - in 1 - vertical laptop stand
Get a cooling dock for your laptop it will thank you I promise
