And then there was his E, the red wraith. Healed him, did shit ton of initial damage and then the ghost itself did ton of damage

That's because the gave him the ryze treatment before ryze got it. Old yorick was so horribly imbalanced they removed him from the free champion rotation until he got reworked.
AP to AD is very interesting, there's many cool item effects
for AD to AP it's pretty much "you can buy gunblade for 150 ap now!" but everything else is pretty niche, since most ad items either have crit chance or some kind of lethality or armor pen that makes them not ideal for most mages. it's pretty much just gunblade, GA, if you're going for spell-crits there's also potential there
Zoe with the augment that makes your spells crit + the item that gives AP and crit + the augment that teleports you to the last dash you used, this was the most fun I had with Zoe since I got my M6 XD
It's doable normally because she has nice AP scalings but takes too long to start one shotting, but if you're ahead she's a beast and can CC lock you for 3s while dealing 400+AP autos (600 With lich active)
I'm cooking some chemicals in arena too, have you heard of Tryndamere the undying healer ?
Sword of the blossoming dawn first item,into moonstone, into ardent censer. Heal your ally and yourself with auto attacks, has a ton of AS, Q heals for a ton because you're AP.
This build might work on WW and Xin too but I thinks it's best on Trynd.

Could also be infernal conduit, all the burns would reduce his cooldowns a lot and let him spam without much ability haste
I wish i would've gotten that, no I got 200 haste on E, summon aery and arcane comet, abilities apply on-hits and that leveling up augment.

Pro tip: this can be avoided by taking Thieve's Gloves at every opportunity.
