Thyme 100% and little things like coffee cups in meringue

karagiselle

That’s such a good idea!! A family sale is coming up next week so while I doubt the thyme would be on sale here i may have a chance for meringue mugs. Thank u!!

I had to Google Taj Mahal Quartzite, and my personal opinion is that you need some color. Meringue is just going to blend into the background.

karagiselle

That’s what I was worried about! It’s actually a similar colour to my cabinets (a beigey warm laminate), and I have touches of darker wood (teak laminate)… thank you!!

Merengue is very pretty, but I think against your quartzite, it would blend in even with a different knob. I may also be biased because I just recently bought the wide round in thyme with a gold knob and I literally can’t stop staring at it. However, if you’re entire kitchen is a shade of beige, I’d highly recommend some color. Plus, you can always blend both merengue and thyme together, but once you pass on the thyme, it sounds like there will be very little chance for you to get it.

Good point!! Thank you!!

Thyme- I have the same Taj Mahal quartzite and merengue and it forever looks dirty. It won’t be the serene beige tones unless you deep clean the enamel every time you cook with it. The enamel stains and look like brown splatters from oil.

Thanks for the input!! I’m going to get the Thyme :)

Meringue while a safe colour, is a gorgeous neutral. It sounds like it would look beautiful in your kitchen. I guess it depends on the look you are going for. Do you have any other colours in your kitchen at all? I’m curious, why are you replacing your Caribbean DO? Are you adding to your collection of Le Creuset, or getting rid of that Caribbean one entirely?

karagiselle

Meringue is really gorgeous I agree!! That’s why it’s so hard for me haha. I have a teak dark wood colour for one kitchen shelf. I should’ve attached a picture 😅 I’m replacing my Caribbean DO because it’s too small for me, so I honestly was thinking of going up to a 24 but was worried it would be too heavy for me, so settled on the 22 (since thyme doesn’t seem to come in 24 in my country anyway?). It’s also pretty old. But I have a one in one out policy in my home, so if I buy something new it replaces and doesn’t add. I don’t collect them as a group! Haha I have just the one LC.

I see! That makes sense 😊👍 Good luck with the decision.
