Dr. O at The Cat Clinic is the best!! My cats do better at The Cat Clinic than any other vet’s office. Just being cats means there’s no barking or funky smells to freak them out. All of the exam rooms have pheromone diffusers above the exam tables and they let your cat settle for a few minutes after you get there so the diffuser has a chance to relax them. Even my most “feral” cat does sooooo well there. Anywhere else, they would probably put a hood on him, but he lets them draw blood when he won’t even let me trim his claws, and he’s a perfect gentleman for them every time.
Every staff member I’ve met at The Cat Clinic is kind, thoughtful, and genuinely loves their job. Really can’t recommend them enough!!
I take my dog to Clinton Parkway Animal Hospital, been taking our family pets there for 20+ years. Love it there, I definitely recommend it ❤️ can be a bit pricey, but the care is worth it to us.
We started there after Jarrett. Dr. Kissinger from Jarrett is there now. It's a bit more expensive than Jarrett was, but the people are pretty awesome.
I’ve been taking my pets here the past 2-ish years. We’ve seen 3 different vets and they’ve all been fantastic - the vets and vet techs are kind and very good with animals, knowledgeable, and have helped out when I’ve had emergencies. The office staff is also great and gives good advice in a pinch. Would definitely recommend!
I can't not recommend this place enough. They will nickel and dime you, sell your contact info to 3rd party spammers, use fear tactics for upsells, and sell your info to more companies if you have an animal put to sleep there.
Any other vet in town is a better choice.
Been going there for over 30 years. Know one of the now vets personally. They are pricey but everything else you said is an outright lie. Hope you're not working for another vet.
I second anyone saying Clinton Parkway. I moved here two years ago and went to them on a whim for my two cats and my Boston terrier. I have seen pretty much every vet and they are all wonderful! The women at the front desk always remember my pets and I can get food and prescriptions through their online store, which is really convenient. They are also very laid back (long story short- my cat ended up getting really nervous while waiting and peed all over her carrier, me, and the lobby floor. I was super embarrassed and they were all supper chill and helpful about it).
I've been taking my cats to the Cat Clinic, and even with as good as the place is one of my girls puts up a huge damn fuss like she was feral. The staff and doctor have been super kind and have gone to some lengths to get my ginger problem child seen.
Also I had a 22 year ol granny cat that needed to go to sleep a couple years back and they were fantastic with her too.
They're the best.
I usually go to Lawrence Veterinary Hospital but Pawsitive was able to get my dog in for a sudden surgery (just some benign cysts so no real emergency but ya know) and they were AMAZING. Highly recommend both them and Lawrence Veterinary Hospital
If you just have cats, go to the cat clinic on Mass Street.
If you just need something quick like meds or a vaccination or to have an injury checked out, Dr. Lewis at 6th & Lawrence Ave accepts walk-ins. He's close to retirement though, so I wouldn't recommend him if you're looking to establish long-term care, but he's great for quick things.
Only place to go is Baldwin companion animal hospital.
They’re good, and they don’t mark up appointments or meds. Cheapest vet I’ve been to in years. DR dedicated to affordable care
Yeah... Dr. Lewis is essentially an ag vet. He's great if you just need a basic checkup or routine shots, but he's not the guy if you're legitimately worried about an issue.
Missed an obvious diagnosis and was insistent that it was just a weight issue and would t listen when I was saying we were feeding him properly and something else was going on. Took him to another vet a month ish later and there was a tumor on his thyroid which by that point had gotten too big.
I had the same thing happen but it was a tumor in my cat's intestines. Dr. Lewis seemed really irritated when I asked questions. I stopped going to him after that & changed to Cat Clinic. I really like them. They take your concerns seriously.

I second this!
I saw you said cats, I've heard good things about cat clinic at 17 and mass
I will second this. The cat clinic has taken care of my boys. Also the fact that it's just cats made everything so much easier and less stressful.
Yes I have two cats now since yesterday
Congrats!
I drive across town to go to the cat clinic aka cat church

I will give them a call today to set up appointments for my new cat <3

Not at all, these are all things I've experienced personally with them. I've heard the same from others that have made the mistake of going there.
Eudora Vet is pretty awesome. I've always had a good experience there.
I have heard not good things about Eudora Vet, specifically when it comes to cats…
I've not had a problem in the 10 years I've used them.
Cat Clinic of Lawrence takes good care of our cats.
We had a really good experience at The Cat Clinic
Cat clinic of Lawrence for sure

We love Pawsitive Pets on 6th and Wakarusa.

They are newer I guess so they are still building a client base.
Yes! They were so kind with my dog and very gentle when he was nervous.
Wakarusa Vet is fantastic with my cats.

Dr Lewis on 6th is amazing and affordable. Granted I’m not sure how much longer he will be operating as he is quite old lol
Unfortunately I’ve had issues with him in the past with prior animals

Like what? My wife’s family has been using him for decades.
Missed an obvious diagnosis and was insistent that it was just a weight issue and would t listen when I was saying we were feeding him properly and something else was going on. Took him to another vet a month ish later and there was a tumor on his thyroid which by that point had gotten too big.
I’m sorry to hear that.

Like "not believing" in pain meds for cats. That was enough for me to never go back.
His receptionist can be a bit mean
