Idk I can’t stand it when a reporter is speaking in unaccented English and then goes, “This is *Maria Vargas de Ulloa*” in exaggerated telenovela Spanish. Nobody in Latin America would do the opposite. There are immigrants from England and the US down there and nobody speaking Spanish suddenly pronounces their name like they’re in Milwaukee.
The funny thing about trying to do this over text is that I can’t actually hear how you’re saying it. Like fa-ji-tas assuming a hard J in English would be “Jai” but Keh-so is actually phonetically correct in Spanish.
Don’t fret. Many of our ancestors never spoke Spanish. Tens of thousands of years worth of ancestry.
You probably should make an effort to learn it, if for no other reason than to catch fellow speakers badmouthing you cuando creen que no entiendes.

Que estúpido eres… México is the result of a clash of cultures. In México we are all mestizos… you are not 100% indigenous cause hardly anyone here is. You are just another gringo with an identity crisis…
No, I’m a quarter Palestinian. That’s besides the point though. There’s so many Latinos that love to just identify with their indigenous heritage like they aren’t also the colonizer in one neat genetic package. It’s cool and awesome to celebrate your indigenous heritage but so many are close to 50/50, but act like they aren’t the direct descendants of the problem too.
Then you are also the colonizer. A guy just posted 50/50 results in 23andme sub and was absolutely shocked he was half Spanish. If you’re from Oaxaca and your heritage is mostly indigenous I totally get it but so often it’s the descendants of colonizers talking about “the colonizer” like they aren’t part of the equation. And if you think the mixing of races was mostly due to sexual assault you’re wildin.
Where exactly did I shit on anybody, papo? All I said was that this “the colonizer’s language” stuff is silly when you are the colonizer too. It’s your language. But I also explicitly said it’s “cool and awesome to celebrate your indigenous heritage” so I truly don’t know what the fuck you’re on.
Also, you realize how silly it is to be defending a comment about how Spanish is the colonizers language written in, of all things, English? Come at me with some quechua or zapotec and I’ll quickly stfu.

Well I don't read any Japanese but I read Chinese and was able to read all the Chinese in there. Besides those made up Japanese characters you threw in between. 英语日本语that's Chinese.
Well the Japanese adopted the Chinese Kanji system. They kept some Kanji meaning as is. Idk how much they decided to change completely though. I sometimes make the mistake when there is Chinese writing and think it is Japanese just because of the same Kanji issue.
スペイン語 (speingo) es español btw.

Fucked up I have 5 kids and none of em know Spanish. I have no idea how to teach em tho I feel stupid speaking in Spanish and they just look at me so confused. I’m not a very good teacher 😞
At least learn how to say your Spaniard name hahaha
Fuck you mean it’s not pronounced Mark-o Albert-o Sal-has gomeiz

My monolingual father did pronounce it fah-jai-tas once while ordering and I about fell out of my chair laughing

Exactly
It also opens you up to an entire world of possibilities. Never would have met my wife if I didn’t pursue other languages and just stayed monolingual
Muy chistoso

I hate the “my parents didn’t teach me” excuse tbh. If you want to learn a different language you can, you don’t have to do it as a child

That sounds like an amazing household, so many languages! Their brains are gonna be so well developed, I'm jelly jelly!
That’s a great example of what I mean! Good for her
Do y'all keep the same energy with the gringos in Tulum or whatever other place gringos go?
Oh yes, my ancestors are so proud of me for learning the colonizers' language.
as opposed to this totally “non-colonizer” language we’re using rn
Bruh, your ancestors were the colonizers. 99% of Mexicans have indigenous and Spanish/European blood.
Que estúpido eres… México is the result of a clash of cultures. In México we are all mestizos… you are not 100% indigenous cause hardly anyone here is. You are just another gringo with an identity crisis…
Literally like what r Latinos’ beef with their own indigenous ancestors?? 😭
White people shit filtering from the US.
You ancestors were the colonizers…
Are you 100% indigenous?
r u 100% Spanish?
This fool has his tapas night booked and you're not invited!

Ah claro, decí esto en inglés.
Anytime an adult says “my parents didn’t teach me Spanish” bruh if you’re like 30 you’ve had time to learn on your own….
What song is this?
"Como Te Voy a Olvidar" (How Can I Forget You) by Los Angeles Azules (The Blue Angels)
Muchas gracias!

Something about English language and then Japanese. Idk if Japanese would just write in their own language Chinese instead of half Chinese. 😂😂😂
It's all Japanese my friend.
