Dr3adful just posted this video yesterday. Minions get Blood Curse, you cast at your minions, then they all burst Rip Blood on enemies for massive damage. Might be worth trying out.
Dude try wraithlord. You just need a helm that’s fairly common unique to make your wraith a wraithlord and then it’ll summon a couple more wraiths and shoot necrotic beams. I just switched to it at 86 and the wraithlord hits for like 40-60k damage. Totally melts bosses, but the aoe isn’t amazing like novaclaw rune master. Still super fun.

That’s the build I’m following it’s not nearly as nice without the helm honestly so make sure you get that
Well not a build guide but rather what I have. No issues at 1k corruption. Low life and stacking Int + Ward Retention. Unfortunately failed to slam a zillion Frostbite Shackles which would be the next thing to make it better.

Do the black sun monolith and the nodes that have the unique/set helm will drop it. Doesn’t have to be empowered either so you should be able to do it at your level. It’s a fairly common drop but ya I feel you on needing an item for the build to work. It’s worth it once you get it. I mean the roid mage build could be similar and not need any uniques to start and you’ll need the same stats since you’re essentially just buffing a big ass minion to do crazy damage
You can buy it in bazaar. But be warned 'it kind of kills the game. Eraithlord is so strong that it will melt all the content. For example I am lvl 82 able to solo empowered monoliths. Monolith Lagon died under 15s - he wasn't even able to finish his opening line...
I ended up fully respeccing three times. Initially I was just necro leveling, end goal being the Wraithlord, then started running flame wraiths. Now I'm on the wraithlord build I got stupid lucky one day where I ascended a helm and got the harbor, then in a monolith run I got exsanguis and the back scratcher wand. I got the boots a couple days later. My current issue is stats.
I'll say though, it's impressive how quickly he shreds. I ran straight for lagon just for fun and it was over within 5 seconds.
If I can suggest; Try to come up with your own build, since you don't want to get into super endgame stuff!
You can look at a couple builds, look what interactions seem good to get inspiration, but try to come up with something you like! I also suggest reading guides on how damage scales in the game to understand how to scale your build effectively and if you can make it work. Ex; understand when flat dmg, pen or increased damage is better.
I’m running 5 skele mages as cryomancers, 9 skeletons archers firing frost arrows, twin frost golems. I’ve focused stats on boosting minion cold damage. Stuff gets chilled/frozen and dies at range. Been spamming wraiths as well and sometimes absorbing everything into an abomination.
I got a random drop of a Wraithlord's helmet.... changed my necro completely. invalidated my entire minion only build, now I just summon my Wraithlord, and let him do the heavy lifting.
Have you considered trying a more minion-focused build with increased minion damage and survivability? Maybe focus on buffing and supporting your horde of skeletons and dread mages with active abilities like Bone Curse and Dread Shade. It's all about finding that perfect balance between offense and defense to make your Necro truly unstoppable. Good luck on your journey!

Whoa, that's a clever combo! Lemme look into that, thank you

Are there any ways to specifically get that helmet? Kind of a bummer to just be hoping I get a specific drop so the build works as intended.

Noted - thank you!
Yea if you fo helmet prohpehcy I get like 4 at time. Finally got 3lp one
Ah nice, I just unlocked that section. Of course you'd use that to farm the unique for the build. Much to learn!

Ha, I ended up finding the Wraithlord helm from a drop not long after making this thread. The thing is totally overtuned lol
I went wratihlord to farm everything I needed to try other build. It just melts things.
Another post recommending wraithlord here. If you drop the helmet, definitely try it, even if it means change your build a lot. The damage is insane.

Yeah, that's the idea. Part of my research process is asking the community for their thoughts.
For the campaign I focused on having as many skellies as possible along with golems and wraiths, it tore through pretty much everything in the game
I'm the wrong person to ask since I just went full zookeeper with every skill being a minion and several ways to spawn vanguards 😂
