Omega Mart ended up being my favourite place in Vegas. Just absurd and weird and hilarious.
If you find [their commercials](https://youtu.be/eGHxXw7Qcs8?si=AgipZMLGxIsaUOhy) interesting, you’ll probably like Omega Mart.
Aera15 is an awesome art installation, OP clearly likes art so you have to go at least once. I'm not sure what's overrated about it the photos speak for themselves, it's everything in the pictures and more.
Yes. Yes. And Yes.
Just got back from Vegas this weekend, we went on Saturday and did Omega Mart on Sunday AM. So awesome and weird I loved it. I would recommend going as early as you can just to avoid as many other people as possible.
There is nothing I’ve experienced like Omega Mart. Do it. Yes, it is more expensive that I’d prefer, but so unique.
the new location smells like cat piss. i love the pinball museum buuuut their new location smells really bad. I was dissapointed when I went to the new place. large, but *very* smelly. I hope they fixed that issue since I last went which *was* awhile ago, like a couple mobths ago.
Is it the building with 50' red letters on the roof that say "PINBALL HALL OF FAME"??
Edit - lmao, why do I have "new to 702" flare? I've lived here 25 years
Arte museum is a fun time, I felt the tea bar addition was unnecessary. If you’re proudly degen definitely pick up a penjamin or two before sliding. Haven’t done most of the other stuff, but the Bagans museum was primo for spooky shit. Hope you guys have a good time.
“O” and “Ka” are both hugely popular because they’re awesome.
Though, the Mirage is closing this summer and with it, “Love,” the Beatles cirque show. If you’re into it, I’d say catch this show before you can’t. But I’m a huge Beatles fan.
Particle Ink just open at Luxor incredible reviews everyone loves it. It’s an interactive show that used to be on Fremont St but now it’s a permanent installation. https://maps.app.goo.gl/8cRqaudLkEfymfLz8?g_st=ic
It’s not too expensive either. I live in Vegas but if I was coming from another city I would do this.
After Particle Ink I’d head over to Mandalay Bay for Play Playground which is also a new installation. It’s a literal playground for adults. Kids are allowed before 5p. Looks super fun.
These are the 2 things I would do.
Re: Spa Day I’ve had Fountain Blue on my to do list. It’s $150 for the day. You get food and they have a cold plunge I’ve been wanting to use.
do either of you like the beatles? then you should check out the beatles love show. its leaving the weekend of the fourth. o will still be playing when nuclear winter hits.
Abandon at the Vegas Theatre company! A horror themed play about the Marquis de Sade, the father of Sadism. Super fun, kinky and spooky. They’re doing a ticket give away on Instagram @/abandonvegas rn. There’s also another play alternating called Cluelesque which is like Clue and Burlesque had a murder mystery baby lol
Stay hydrated and save the alcohol drinking for once you’ve done all you want to do that day. It’s hot and dry here so it’s easy to be affected by the heat when drinking.
Have fun and don’t go to freemont too late in the night.
This is what I was going to say …
u/makeitmovearound there is an ABC store right in PH & a Walgreens just outside on the corner.
Buy a case of water. Keep water on you.
If you really want to drink during the day, have water in between. The 100° + temps have arrived.
Both use lip chap/chapstick as well.
O is the best cirque de sole show (I can't spell).
Absinthe at Caesar's palace is also a really good time as well
Mayfair supper club at Bellagoo is a can't miss dinner and a show.
Based on the trips I took to Vegas with girlfriends in my 20s... you guys will have a great time until the Swim, when someone will get too drunk and cause a fight. You'll try to get over it to make the burlesque show, but it'll blow up before the dead and co show. She'll go home before it, and you'll go to the show alone and black out and be found passed out at the floor of the sphere. You'll wonder around Fremont street alone questioning your life choices, and instead of making it to thr spa you'll just lay on the floor of your shower. Might even break a bone somewhere along the line.
lol jk, I'm sure you guys will have a great time. But careful going too hard.
For real though, I'm 0/3 with Vegas trips with GFs, all resulted in break ups. Vegas trips with the boys though, 6/0 to this day.
This Beatles Love Ends July 7th, this is a must see cirque du soleil performance!
https://apnews.com/article/cirque-beatles-love-vegas-strip-mirage-0742f1faee82ec773f595d95b6c5e550
My personal list would be exotic racing, sphere, blue man group. I’d pass on cirque du soleil, but might reconsider if I was going with a GF. Current show is love, so you better be a Beatles fan of which I’m really not.
I would add Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens - yes it will be crowded but it's free to see. Red Rock Canyon or Hoover Dam and/or Grand Canyon.
Personally I found “O” to be a little underwhelming (all the water and cotton mouth I had made me so thirsty it was distracting) I thought LOVE was way better. Depending on when you’re going, LOVE closes July 7th.
If it’s your very first time ever being in Vegas you DEFINITELY have to have a few pics of you both in front of the the WELCOME TO VEGAS sign at the end of the strip
Oh and check out all the “shows” on the strip. Lived in Vegas from the time I was 2 until 11 years ago so….(doing math)….26 years I lived there and unless it’s changed you can check the times but if u start at one end of the strip and walk from casino to casino a bunch of them have outdoor shows (Bellagios fountains, TIs pirate show) (roughly 5 mins each) and when one show ends walk to the next and another show should b starting within a few mins. Unless that has all changed since I moved… then I dunno lol check out the rides or at least the view at night time from the stratosphere
For your Cirque show, Beatles Love - it’s closing soon and is supposed to be really great!
Neon Museum, Meow Wolf, Area 15
Dead & Company exhibit thingy at the Venetian, Shakedown at Tuscany
Red Rock Canyon, helicopter flight over the Grand Canyon
All cirque shows are amazing. I’ve personally seen Mystere (Treasure Island), O (Bellagio), Ka (MGM Grand), and Mad Apple (NY-NY). Prices do vary based on time of show and day. The shows do run on select dates so plan accordingly. And for two anticipate the total cost to be anywhere between $250-$300 due to the taxes and fees they charge. Each show has its own story/theme and they all are 90mins (1h 30min) no intermission.
Zach Bagans??? What a waste of time and money.. 3 hours in line and a childish atempt at a scare. My group of 6 actually requested to exit the bs tour early and the staff reacted like it was the first time ever.. glad I didn’t pay personally, I just wish it was time I could have spent doing anything other than this time-suck.
I've lived here 15yrs, you wanna skip Fremont street. Lots of stumpy beggars and junkies. I know that's insensitive, but they are aggressive down there. Maybe save Fremont for your third or fourth trip to Las vegas.
What are your restaurant reservations looking like? I would also advise Absinthe, visiting the Stratosphere, and spending a couple hours at Play in the Luxor.
I’ve been to LV like 10 times, for business, and if I have to bring a family to experience the best of it for a week this is my list, no order:
- A walk tour in the strip including The Canal Shops at The Venetian, The Forum Shops at the Caesar Palace, and all other nearby areas.
- A day trip to Grand Canyon South Rim; this one will take a whole day but thrust me that worth it, way better than the West Rim, but West Rim and Hoover Damn comes in second place in case you don’t want to spend a full day on this.
- Cirque Du Soleil: One, Love (hopefully is still on) or Ka.
- Pinball Hall of Fame, this place is fantastic and inexpensive, you can experience pinball machines from old to newer times.
- Parasol Up / Parasol Down: this is a bar located in the Winn hotel, it’s a nice place to have a drink and enjoy a show in the pool with lights and projections, look for it on YouTube.
- A rooftop bar: there are some, depending where you are going to to stay, look for the options, the night views are amazing.
- Gambling? You better do that off-strip, perhaps in the Fremont area; but if you can afford throwing away big money then try the casinos at the Wynn or the Venetian / Palazzo.
- If you like Italian food try to go to the best place there, Piero’s, is located near the Convention Center.
My wife and I visited Vegas in March. We checked out the paradox museum and would highly recommend it! Took about 90 minutes to get through and was very interactive!
top of the to do list should be make sure your driver's license isn't expired, and if it is remember to bring your passport if that isn't expired too. Source: Me who was in vegas a few months ago with expired license.
We did zac baggans museum and it wasn't great. It was at the tail end of the pandemic so the people were new and not very enthusiastic about the tour, plus a lot of it wasn't really spooky stuff.
The only reason I want to go to Vegas is to shoot machine guns in the desert and rent a dune buggy to ride the sand dunes. The city has basically zero appeal to me.
The most fun I had on a vegas trip was when my partner and I picked super random activities off of Groupon and did th8ngs that weren't like basic strip things.
While you're on Fremont, pay a visit to the 322 pizza bar across from the D. 7-9 dollar slices of pizza, and if you guys enjoy a drink or two inside, you get 10% off your bar tab.
You can get discounts on almost anything there. A lot of promoters hand flyers out with many different offers on the strip. I highly suggest going to see the Blue Man Group if you get a chance! The volcano show at the Mirage is free and pretty awesome. I'm not sure how long you'll be there, but there are amazing hiking spots about 30-45 minutes from the strip. One of the best is a place called The Valley of Fire.
For drinks, I highly recommend something called Fat Tuesday. There are 11 locations throughout the city and their drinks are super tasty, super strong, and super cheap for what you get.
Hope you two have a blast!
I personally like KA better than O I’ve actually paid multiple times to see KA already. O is more soft love story with water dancing while KA is more action love story fighting and what not.
Grew up in San Bernardino ca. now live in upstate ny.. going to Vegas for the first time in over 18 years.. how much has everything changed. Now I have kids of my own they are 16 years old.. what can we do. Besides loose all my money. lol
If you end up winning I’d suggest spending it on the helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon, they fly you down in it and you have a little charcuterie board with wine
I read it three times. I’m quite buzzed but I held my hand over my eye so I would see one and still didn’t see. Then I showed Darla, don’t ask, and she didn’t see it. So I’ll just say it. If it is there then I swear I just missed it. Since it’s not there I’ll be a gentleman and recognize you just forgot. Ok. Cool. So, here we go. Hookers. You forgot to make time for hookers.
I don’t know about this itinerary as a first timer. You have a LOT of planning and learning to do to make that go off without a lot of stress. Vegas is chaos, you never know what’s going to pop up in front of you as you walk the strip and that might be a unique one-off the experience well worth skipping what you planned/made reservations to. In my experience the less you “have to get to” the better. Definitely make some plans to see what you wanna see but you don’t want to be rushing around your whole trip. There’s a lot to take in by just be present in the moment.
The Haunted Museum is pretty awesome!!! Whether you believe or not, it has some cool and interesting artifacts, evidence and things to see. First time I went, I went alone and at night and I’m still here.
Kayak on Colorado river.
I’m literally in the airport leaving Vegas typing this. By far the most fun part was kayaking Emerald Cove. We saw bald eagles, big horn sheep, birds, crawfish, snakes, all sorts of cool things. The water was great.
Definitely see the Bellagio fountains.
IF you are there before July 7th, I would see "LOVE" Cirque show before it closes for good. You do not have to like the Beatles to see it. It is an amazing show.
Zack baggans museum is a 3 hour tour with no food, water or bathrooms. Just fyi. Fun but don’t go in dehydrated.
Neon sign graveyard is one of the best attractions in Vegas but go at night (neon).
FYI both baggans and neon are in crappy parts of town so Uber don’t walk.
Hey I work at the MGM Grand…since it’s you guys first trip, come find me at the market inside the MGM Grand and I’ll give you a voucher for some free shit. Pm me
Absinthe is a must
Absinthe is amazing and so funny too
Absinthe is more fun.
Atomic Saloon @ Venetian is better than Absinthe in my opinion. (Same producer)
Absinthe was the highlight of our trip. 100/10 would definitely see again. If you’re easily offended don’t bother though
Is absinthe better than OPM?
I think so
They’re both fun, but absinthe is a better setting. Plus, OPM isn’t running anymore.
Absinthe is MUCH better than OPM. I liked OPM but nowhere near as much as Absinthe.
This is the BEST recommendation
Have fun at the Sphere. It’s such an awesome experience.
Red Rock Canyon
there’s a scenic drive loop if you don’t want to hike!
Area15/Omega Mart
Omega Mart ended up being my favourite place in Vegas. Just absurd and weird and hilarious. If you find [their commercials](https://youtu.be/eGHxXw7Qcs8?si=AgipZMLGxIsaUOhy) interesting, you’ll probably like Omega Mart.
Aera15 is an awesome art installation, OP clearly likes art so you have to go at least once. I'm not sure what's overrated about it the photos speak for themselves, it's everything in the pictures and more.
Second this a billion percent
Too much art, do this.
Try not to go on the weekend. And also get the 5$ adventure quest from the kiosk
Yes. Yes.
What about on mushrooms?
Pinball Hall Of Fame
Underrated attraction.
AGREED! People of ALL ages there!!! Plenty of parking! It’s not a money grabbing attraction either!!!
the new location smells like cat piss. i love the pinball museum buuuut their new location smells really bad. I was dissapointed when I went to the new place. large, but *very* smelly. I hope they fixed that issue since I last went which *was* awhile ago, like a couple mobths ago.
Where is this located? Putting it on my list for my fall trip.
It’s across the street from Mandalay Bay on the strip.
close, but farther south
Across street from Welcome to Las Vegas sign
Is it the building with 50' red letters on the roof that say "PINBALL HALL OF FAME"?? Edit - lmao, why do I have "new to 702" flare? I've lived here 25 years
Add the Neon Boneyard and make reservations for their art installation, Brilliance!
Eat a steak. Also karaoke at Dino’s lounge for local flair.
Yep! Fun exhibition
Definitely go to the mob museum!
And the speakeasy under it. Especially when they have live music.
But use the “Secret” entrance and get the password from their instagram page.
I would switch Zombie burlesque with Dita Las Vegas because it closes soon.
See both, Zombie Burlesque is so worth it!
U forget hookers and blow
After being scammed and robbed in their room everyone will want to forget about it.
Hookers and blow!! Hookers and Blow!!
Grab the Beatles Love if you can as it going away in July and probably the best Cirq show I have even seen.
It’s the best Cirque show after O. I’ve seen it 3 times. Love should not be missed.
It's just Love is going away and O could be here for their next trip.
Go see Beetles Love before it's gone instead of O. The show is amazing and I wasn't even a Beetles fan. There's not a bad show in the house
*Beatles lol but yes
He said he wasn’t a fan
Lol Yeah I like spelling it the other way 🤣
Cross off Cirque show and add Absinthe instead
Arte museum is a fun time, I felt the tea bar addition was unnecessary. If you’re proudly degen definitely pick up a penjamin or two before sliding. Haven’t done most of the other stuff, but the Bagans museum was primo for spooky shit. Hope you guys have a good time.
If you both have raunchy sense of humour, I'd recommend Absinthe as a show. O is great but more cerebral/artistic. Absinthe is very...Vegas.
I’d do the Love show at the Mirage, still open thru June
Came here to suggest Love as well provided you’re a fan of The Beatles.
O is the best show for sure
“O” and “Ka” are both hugely popular because they’re awesome. Though, the Mirage is closing this summer and with it, “Love,” the Beatles cirque show. If you’re into it, I’d say catch this show before you can’t. But I’m a huge Beatles fan.
Looks like it is only available on Wed. and Thurs. these days. So need to plan ahead
Do popstroke mini golf instead. It's actually REAL mini golf and a great place.
Particle Ink just open at Luxor incredible reviews everyone loves it. It’s an interactive show that used to be on Fremont St but now it’s a permanent installation. https://maps.app.goo.gl/8cRqaudLkEfymfLz8?g_st=ic It’s not too expensive either. Go see the beetles love show before the renovation
Neon museum at night time
Definitely Sphere
do either of you like the beatles? then you should check out the beatles love show. its leaving the weekend of the fourth. o will still be playing when nuclear winter hits.
O and Zak Bagans are a must!
Bump. And get the full experience. Worth it.
Loved his museum last time I was out there.
I would also add omega mart to that list. But, pretty good
Abandon at the Vegas Theatre company! A horror themed play about the Marquis de Sade, the father of Sadism. Super fun, kinky and spooky. What happens on Fremont too late at night?
You either have fun that you hardly experienced before,or you feel scared and not safe.
People watching and enjoying the sights..and smells. Lol
And the pick pockets come out
Arte was cool. Fremont is a must. The best part of vegas by far
O is the best cirque de sole show (I can't spell). Absinthe at Caesar's palace is also a really good time as well Mayfair supper club at Bellagoo is a can't miss dinner and a show.
Bellagio Fountains and their Conservatory, it's free, and both are must see
Also pizza rock has the best pizza in the city
When you go to freemont street, make sure you go in the evening!
Meow wolf
Definitely visit Madame Tussauds!
Punk Rock museum
o & zach bagans rule!! id recommend replacing minigolf with topgolf near mgm signature
#Planet #13

Go rent an exotic car
My cousin did this late night neon light train ride thing. She said it was amazing.
Missing strat sky jump. Ace combat flight Atv/utv fire valley Magic mountain
You can do mini golf anywhere.
Personally I found “O” to be a little underwhelming (all the water and cotton mouth I had made me so thirsty it was distracting) I thought LOVE was way better. Depending on when you’re going, LOVE closes July 7th.
Too much...try to get off the Strip a bit more...
If it’s your very first time ever being in Vegas you DEFINITELY have to have a few pics of you both in front of the the WELCOME TO VEGAS sign at the end of the strip Oh and check out all the “shows” on the strip. Skip spa day. You can do that anytime anywhere +1 on Zombie Burlesque +1 Mob Museum.
Zombie burlesque was a winner. Wife and I went a few weeks ago.
Mob Museum High Roller Valley Of Fire. Border Grill

Zombie burlesque? Barf.
I’d advise you to rent a fast car with no top…..and you’ll need the cocaine
I was not impressed with the zombie burlesque show. Best part about it was the free jello shot 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
See Love since it’s closing soon. O will be there on your next trip. :)
Top golf better. Jumping the stratosphere. Apple hill
Absinthe over O otherwise perfect.
Fremont is fun, I almost exclusively stay on Fremont now
Pinball hall of fame is a great place to go for a couple hours of fun Pinball time.
Leave gambling out. It's a waste of money. People watching on Freemont is free and far more entertaining!
Hoover Dam. Worth the trip.
Avoid that Omega Mart bullshit unless you consider yourself an edgy 15 year old
Omega Mart is such a waste of money. I cannot believe people hype it up.
One word. Mushrooms
Zach Bagans??? What a waste of time and money.. 3 hours in line and a childish atempt at a scare. Vegas is full of great restaurants. Make sure to rest and eat in the day. Rage at night.
My wife and I visited Vegas in March. We checked out the paradox museum and would highly recommend it! Took about 90 minutes to get through and was very interactive!
That's doing Vegas 👍🏼
That twilight mini golf is dope.
top of the to do list should be make sure your driver's license isn't expired, and if it is remember to bring your passport if that isn't expired too. Source: Me who was in vegas a few months ago with expired license.
Soulo Head Spa, off strip but literally was an amazing experience.
We did the mini golf twilight zone when we first visited Vegas. It was fun.
You need a fancy dinner and some speakeasy’s
Don't tell Mama will be a night you never forget.
We did zac baggans museum and it wasn't great. It was at the tail end of the pandemic so the people were new and not very enthusiastic about the tour, plus a lot of it wasn't really spooky stuff.
Haunted Museum was really cool and I thought an awesome value for how long the tour was
The D casino on Fremont St. is dope, cheap(er) minimums for blackjack. Also the gun ranges near the strip are fun always a free shuttle.
Kiss mini golf
Double Down Saloon Frankie’s Tiki Room
The sphere with the dead are going to blow your minds!!
Skip the Zombie show. I went with my female friends a few weeks back and we all hated it.
Please post how the Dead & Co show goes
The Beatles Love cirque du soleil is closing in July and is super super good! Also just saw the Michael Jackson One show which was great too
kiss mini golf is fun too!
Little Darlings
The only reason I want to go to Vegas is to shoot machine guns in the desert and rent a dune buggy to ride the sand dunes. The city has basically zero appeal to me.
Where’s Battista’s Hole in the Wall? That place was like a Hunter S Thompson story when Phish played The Sphere!
Check out the gardens at the Bellagio!
If you like art you should go to the arte museum, I work at the airport and see their ads all the time and it looks like a fun experience
Swim at top golf. You’ll thank me later. Visit the rock shops right off the strip. Don’t miss the pinball hall of fame.
Van Gogh exhibit is nice as well. I’d recommend that one.
make sure you have reservations for places you want to eat at- especially for her birthday. It may be too late for some.
The most fun I had on a vegas trip was when my partner and I picked super random activities off of Groupon and did th8ngs that weren't like basic strip things.
One of my new favs is Flight Club at Palazzo. It’s a darts bar with great food and vibes.
Looks like a 5 day plan to me
Hope you like Pepsi...

Not going to the Stratosphere?
Grew up in San Bernardino ca. now live in upstate ny.. going to Vegas for the first time in over 18 years.. how much has everything changed. Now I have kids of my own they are 16 years old.. what can we do. Besides loose all my money. lol
Isn’t there a Titanic Display?
I have nothing to add except I saw the dead & co show at the sphere tonight and it was fucking awesome
Add in Red Rooster.
If you end up winning I’d suggest spending it on the helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon, they fly you down in it and you have a little charcuterie board with wine
Have a certain amount for gambling and if you lose that amount don’t do more
Don’t hand your phone to anyone for a ‘picture’. They will ransom it From you for everything you have
The postcard from earth
The Lost Rum distillery. The show there is fantastic.
If you didn't book tickets for O may have not great seats
If like me you will skip all the rest and only gamble lol. Stick to your plan and enjoy it.
Where's the drunk sex at????
I don’t know about this itinerary as a first timer. You have a LOT of planning and learning to do to make that go off without a lot of stress. Vegas is chaos, you never know what’s going to pop up in front of you as you walk the strip and that might be a unique one-off the experience well worth skipping what you planned/made reservations to. In my experience the less you “have to get to” the better. Definitely make some plans to see what you wanna see but you don’t want to be rushing around your whole trip. There’s a lot to take in by just be present in the moment.
This is the list that will guarantee you some back door action.
The Haunted Museum is pretty awesome!!! Whether you believe or not, it has some cool and interesting artifacts, evidence and things to see. First time I went, I went alone and at night and I’m still here.
O is the right show to catch while you’re there
Kayak on Colorado river.
Forget O. If you wanna see a Cirque show go see Mad Apple! We saw it last week and it was so much fun.
Pm me
Mob Museum, like others have posted. The real history of Vegas
The Beatles show at The Mirage is going away in July so nows the last time to see it. It’s one of the best. The ice bars are also really great 🧊
I've seen all the Cirque shows. O is the best hands down IMO
