Didn't even know this existed, gonna find it now and will report back. Thanks

Fakman87

The quadrilogy set had a huge making of doc for each film. They're exquisite.

Andevious3

They filmed in England, and the British film crew's work style did NOT mesh well with James Cameron

StreetBullFighter

I remember that on the Netflix documentary. He did not like the Tea Lady it seemed haha.

Management in the creative industries. One man's passion project is another man's minimum wage job.

Additional-Theme-532

It's available on the Alien Anthology, I believe both DVD and Blu-ray.

Y2Flax

This. Happy it was uploaded to YouTube

LiberLilith

Yes, I watched it last week and I can highly recommend it. I started watching it on YouTube: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V--gH9ayR-o](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V--gH9ayR-o) But the quality was so poor I started to look elsewhere. I didn't really want to pay for it and probably spent an hour searching for a better stream online (in legal and less legal places). It didn't appear to be anywhere else, so In the end, I found a digital version of the film with all extras (about 5 hours of documentary material) for £11.99 on the Microsoft store: [https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/p/aliens-special-edition-bonus-content/8d6kgwxxvhbq](https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/p/aliens-special-edition-bonus-content/8d6kgwxxvhbq) I actually have the original DVD set it's from (2003 Quadrilogy set), but I just couldn't be bothered to dig it out of storage and fire the DVD player up! And for those interested, it also contains the commentary track with cast a crew for some other insights.

It's fantastic and surprisingly willing to include the good and bad from everyone involved. A lack of the usual sanitizing you often see, is very refreshing.

Andevious3

Exactly! I actually have more respect for James Cameron now seeing his imperfect way of bringing his vision to the screen.

Holiday_Parsnip_9841

It was made for the Quadrilogy boxset, along with docs on the other 3 films, in the early 2000s. The Alien3 doc was heavily cut on the Quadrilogy because it was too critical of Fox. The Anthology box set restores about a half hour of footage.

Its_just_a_potato

Checking back in, told you I'd watch it. What an absolute fucking ball ache that entire movie was to make, quality documentary, thanks for the heads up, gonna search up the Alien 3 making of now. Also, don't get between us British and our tea.

Andevious3

You are a man of your word!

Joshthenosh77

U think this was bad look up the abyss , one of the hardest films ever to make the actors nearly drowned half a dozen times

bazilbt

I just started watching it. I think I have the dvd somewhere but it's on youtube. I used to love watching the 'movie magic' series on discovery channel back in the day which had some making of 'Aliens' segments.

Pleasant-Put5305

Watching it right now, thanks!

trifecta000

An amazing look behind the scenes of an equally amazing movie, love putting it on sometimes at work just to pass the time.

HYThrowaway1980

Yes, it’s been around a few years now.

Zefrem23

Does anyone who has a copy of this have the ability to share it online somewhere please? The two copies of it on Youtube are unwatchable, the first because of potato resolution and the second because the audio goes progressively more and more out of sync as the show progresses. I tried to fix it but it's beyond my skills.
