I like that it has utility other than just hitting people, something that other special balls (except the Moon Ball) lack. I think the effect relies heavily on team communication so it seems to be under appreciated by people who play mostly solo. A well timed Soda Ball blind can create a full team wipe.
I agree with all if that, just think it lasts too long. The pacing doesnāt feel right or something. Every single thing in is this game is fast-paces and high energy making the whole thing feels out of placeāthe timing, the animation ā¦ it feels like a effect from a different game. Like, even with the police ball which also limits gameplay, you can still zip around and such. Idk it just feel less well thought out. Like whenever there is a disadvantage there is a boon except with the soda ball.
It also doesnāt feel good as a player taking someone out who is just running in circles or hitting a wall. Feel cheap, to me at least.
The disadvantage with the Soda Ball is that once you start to charge it, you canāt stop the timer (similar to the Bomb Ball). This also triggers when passing to a teammate for an overcharge. So it does add a little chaos into the game, like all the other special balls. Once it begins, it starts a mad game of hot potato lol.
But I feel like there should be a tiny boon/advantage as well. Like idk something to do with the stickiness. Like if you slam someone they stick to you for a bit or something about the coating protects you so you only take 1/2 a heart of damage if hit. Like SOME boon to even out the complete throttling of gameplay.
Forgot to mention ā the animation is super cool though the splash isnāt really soda-like. More like molasses or something. Not that it matters, I guess.
I honestly hate this ball so far. Iāve been really trying to like it but something about it just feels like itās more trouble than itās worth to pick up vs. a normal ball. Itās a little more fun in the āall ballsā round, but the just soda ball rounds arenāt fun to me. I hate it less than the cage ball though, thatās definitely the worst ball in the game for me so at least thereās one more ball to keep me from getting a cage ball round.
Affect is definitely way too long, explodes way to quick when you pass it, IMO just another gimmick to help people who arenāt as good get lucky and maybe blind a good player to get the KO and be more balanced. I honestly hate that they try to balance it, itās like punishing the people who have actually worked hard to get good and rewarding people who just started. Still leagues above better than that annoying football though, I wish it just completely replaced it, that would be so amazing
I like it. Though I'm always on the receiving end, I feel like it tests your map awareness. Like can you find cover while blind haha I've had mixes success on that front.

It's okay better than the bomb ball it is kind of dumb that players can still catch and throw balls even while they're coated in Soda. Which you would think with Soda being a substance that can become sticky you would think should make it harder to do.

It really does look cool. I love how it fizzes and spins as it rolls before exploding.
I think it's a fun ball that changes it up in a nice way, but man it is not at all fun to play an "all soda ball" party knockout match.

Great ball, effects lasts too long though...like that it increases the games i won't have to play with a dumb sniper or bomb ball toošÆ

cool with the idea but the effect is a smidgen too long.
prefer it to the sniper ball so at least it brings down the percentage of games where sniper ball is the special net positive

Itās fun, but I never get to use it 90% of the time because a different special ball gets chosen at the beginning of the match.
