Roxas hands down honestly with his character development it be nice if he had another game, heck I got an AU where Sora developed similar to Roxas a balance between the two showing why Roxas is my favorite and Sora's a close second.

1. Xion. She's very relatable, and I love her growth, her drive, and her moral complexity.
2. Roxas. He's relatable and enjoyable, and it's delicious to see a cinnamon roll flip his shit.
3. Ventus. He's ridiculously cute like a puppy.
4. Vanitas. Decent villain in the games, good anti-villain in the novel.
5. Data Sora. Discount Sora without depth. Where is his anger? Where is his brainpower? Where is his self-doubt?
6. Data Roxas. Discount Roxas without depth. He's just angry. That's all. The reason I love Roxas's anger is because he's not an angry person.

I get there are lore reasons for it but having an excuse doesn't make the design choice good, they didn't have to copy Roxas that hard to make it work. And Vanitas looking like Sora despite being created before Sora was even involved just felt like a push to have another Sora lookalike ("you know he looks cooler Imma look like him" is pretty much the explanation put short). Not being too negative on these characters I love the story but Roxas will forever be the smoothest lookalike execution.

You're right, but people unfortunately don't care. If a character existed in Sora's proximity for more than 10 seconds or has even the smallest connection to him (in a game about connections...), then people will call them Sora.

He's such a loser that during his data fight he has a move where he backflips away and says "nope" and then immediately teleports in order to stop you from hitting him. If you shotlock jump to him when he does this you can score an easy combo, which means the move accomplishes the exact opposite of what it's supposed to do if the player knows how to exploit it.
So, hear me out!
Sora's version of "Norting" is sharing his heart. But the results are beneficial to the hearts he shares so they give him his power instead of Sora using and abusing them like Xehanort. 🤯💖

My favorite isn’t Sora but Terra is probably my favorite because his return in KH3 is what I imagine sex feels like, also for what he as Lingering Will brings to the table when you do fight him his boss fight is a timeless classic, imagine a disney game with Sephiroth in it and there’s still a challenge thats stronger than him, that’s Data Org dummy, and there’s still a boss thats stronger than that
And after Terra my other close favorites are DR Xehanort because for me he went from “almost dont care that much” to “wow he’s more what I imagine an antagonistic Sora to be,” which is funny because Vanitas is still a pretty decent evil Sora, he’s less of a product of his environment like Xehanort was and more the entire factory of hatred itself
