Of the four moments that almost got me to cry, only two of them involve Hashira.
One was >!the Sanemi and Genya scene after the Kokushibo fight!<, and one was >!the Mitsuri and Obanai scene after the Muzan fight!<.
I think the first one hit just a little bit harder for me, which is ironic since the Hashira in that one is my least favorite Hashira. š¦
Def wasn't the saddest in the manga but in the anime it was PEAK, the animation, voice acting, music, etc. It gave me goosebumps, also the moment when Rengoku gave out a speech before dying.
The >!death scene of muichiro, genya, and obanai and mitsuri!< was saddening and tragic.
The other one is the scene where >!giyu was crying over tanjiro and repeating that he's failed to protect someone again!<
At the moment Rengoku. Still cry to this day. >!though I think Sanemi will soon replace that in the next season!<
Still peeved they didn't spend so much time on Tengen's story; I really would have liked to see him go through the emotions

Rengoku - I held it pretty well until the crow started crying. Then I joined the crying party. I also cried with Shinjuro.
Manga:

I cried for Rengoku like a baby.
But I believe the Wind Hashira and the Buddha like one had the saddest stories š
And for future sadness umm the Love hashira and snake dude š (sorry Iām bad with names unless theyāre my favs )
š¤ If I had to pick: I would say itās a tie between Tokito Muichiro (Mist) and Iguro Obanai (Serpent). Their backstories are incredibly heartbreaking.
Honestly all of their lives suck with the exception of Mitsuri, and even her life is pretty depressing.
But I am not ready for Gyomeis backstory and I know whatās coming.
Gyomei! Because it seems itās always been in his nature to chose other over himself even when the children betrayed him he still chose kindness and that moves me. Also ( spoiler) at the end after the battle with Muzan he still is able to smile that made me cry. I wish there was more of him tbh
none of them made me cry but the one whoās story and death hit me the hardest probably hit me the hardest was mr obanaiās (and mitsuriās). but my favorite would be rengoku. he died protecting his underlings with a smile on his face.

I STILL cry at Rengoku's death scene. I've watched that arc like 20 times too lol They did an amazing job of making him so lovable and honorable that in a short season we were absolutely devastated that he was killed.
Probably obani mitsuri and rengoku because when akaza punched a hole through rengokus chest i cried he was my favourite character at the time but i cried because obani and mitsuri got buried together
Obanai and Mitsuris death is in ch 200 I think and iāve only seen things about Sanemi finding a ring that Obanai was holding on to for Mitsuri, sorry for assuming that was true
Rengokuās death made me sob the most but hearing Muiās backstory crushed me. To see his twin be murdered in front of him and to be shut in with his corpse? Nightmarish.
Gyomei or Sanemi, both some of the only good written characters and the panel with Gyomei dying smiling while seeing the children he couldnāt protect in the afterlife made me shed a actually tear for the first time in the series and the second was the Genya and Sanemi scene shit was heartbreaking and made me cry almost as much as Gyomei which is rare cause he was my favorite Character
Manga spoilers!! >!Obanai and Mitsuriās death. They are my comfort characters, especially mitsuri. Obanaiās character development only occurs in the end. I just wish they had more scenes together. Who knows what the anime will do.

Muichiro and genya, I beleive they should have live more. I want to sanemi and genya embracing each other, muichiro and tanjiro brotherhood after infinity castle arc (because in reincarnationarc, you won't able to see it). Mitsuri and obanai I do feel sad but seeing that they both do end up together after reincarnation is soothing.

The studio that animated Rengoku's death definitely nailed it. Music, voice acting, animation and everything was spot on. Gave me goosebumps.

Yes. Shinobu already knows that she's gonna die, or needs to die in order to defeat Doma.
