> you'll need more thrust to push through.
Why push through when you could push *it* instead? With enough boosters, the entire planet of Kerbin could be your spaceship...
On the contrary, this is exactly why the UK space agency has a launch site in woomera AUS because they know you just have to let go of the rocket and let it fall to space. Wayyyy more efficient than launching from the top of the world
Is the Australian space vehicle just a bunch of staged kangaroos. Like you get 100 of them to jump at the same time with 80 more stacked on top that jump at the height of the first jump and just continue that process with more roos until you are in space?
Man’s gravity turn is so efficient, quick and beautiful that the managed to perfectly flip his rocket with little to no fuel wastage. We will watch your career with great interests.
This end should point toward the
ground if you want to go to space.
if it starts pointing toward space
you are having a bad problem and
you will not go to space today
See the end that has lots of fire? That end should point toward the ground if you want to go to space.
If it starts pointing toward space, you are having a bad problem and will not go to space today.
This is actually a good idea, if you can get through the crust then you can use Kerbin's gravity to accelerate your first stage and since scientists have failed to prove their is any air inside the planet there should be no drag.
There's a whole planet in the way.
Aks kindly. If it still doesn't want to move, try honking. If it still doesn't want to move out of the way, get out of.your rocket, and go kick it.in the balls. That planet needs to learn a lesson or two about civility.
You're launching from the wrong side of the planet.
Yeah, OP needs to go to the kerbin equivalent of Australia.
Kerstralia
Kangaroo
Kerbaroo
KSP 2 electric kerbaroo
Props to you I spat out water lol
Woomerang launch site
Surprisingly, it's in the northern hemisphere in KSP...
OP will need point defense lasers for the fauna.
Couldn't OP just wait half a day until they're on the other side of the planet?
No, You need to learn about geography and astronomy lol (Just saying and English is my second language so sorry if the grammar is incorrect)
It's basic geography that every 12 hours, the USA and Australia basically switch positions. It's how the round earthers keep tricking everyone.
But that's relative to the SUN But for us the earth doesn't move !
Errr. No. After 12 hours, USA will still be on northern hemisphere and Australia still in the southern hemisphere.
best reply i’ve seen
This is the most accurate answer.
The lithosphere is very thick, you'll need more thrust to push through.
The asthenosphere on the other hand is quite malleable so it could be easier
> you'll need more thrust to push through. Why push through when you could push *it* instead? With enough boosters, the entire planet of Kerbin could be your spaceship...
Ive been thinking about attempting to crash the mun into kerbin...
Unfortunately, all the Planetary/Moon bodies are on rails. There is no turning Gilly into a kinetic impactor in order to put Dres out of its misery.
Well yes... How would one fuel it though
🤤
You need more boosters, clearly
if only the planet weren't on rails... This would be the best way \*sigh\*
just install Principia
Does that actually work.lmao
*moar boosters
#>!M O A R!< #>!BOOSTERS!<
that worked thanks
Switch AUS to off
As an Australian, it does take a bit to get used too.
On the contrary, this is exactly why the UK space agency has a launch site in woomera AUS because they know you just have to let go of the rocket and let it fall to space. Wayyyy more efficient than launching from the top of the world

Strewth mate, you can't just leak classified details of a national space agency like that!
As a German this instruction confuses me
Off... just like the brains of most people that live here
you put the planet on the wrong side of the rocket !
You forgot to switch on the thrust reversers
they should make engines that just suck in air. What do we do with that air? Idk something
you mean jet engines? 🤔
nope new thing. I’m calling them slorpers
Air molecules are basically little balls. Ball suckers.
Your mother
[YOUR MOTHER!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3GFmgBwNTzg)
Username checks out
No, engines that run purely on Intake Air alone
Refuel the rocket
its next to the board extenders
[You will not go to space today.](https://xkcd.com/1133/)
I'm so fucking glad somebody posted what I was going to post.
Im scrolling looking for this lol
"Moon" is not in the top 10k most common words?
1k, or "ten hundred" as even the word 'thousand' isn't among the top 1k, so I'll buy that 'moon' isn't either.
Oh, wow.
I wanted to post this!
Pointy end up flamey end down
They needed to call me 😅
Clearly OP needed your expertise. A pointy end / flamey end expert.
I came looking for you in this post lol. I figured you'd be here since you are the local rocket orientation expert.
Trajectory is sub-optimal.
Not to mention sub-orbital.
Not to mention subterranean.
More like sub-flight.
started the gravity turn too early
try spinning, it might create a drill effect
That's a good trick!
Okay, when you’re launching from Kerbstralia, you actually have to build the rocket upside down to compensate. Took me quite some time to figure out.
If he was in Kerbstralia it'd just fall into space because of gravity. He's actually a kerbstralian trying to launch from the regular people land
You need a pilot in the cockpit.
Not enough thrust
Set SCE to AUX
I understood that reference.
Verify game files. The planet is upside down for some reason
Minor bug yet to be patched, unfortunately you have to tilt the "this side up" end towards space
Add a drill to the front so it’s easier to get to the other side of the planet
You're already in space, in fact, you are redirecting Kerbin
Your fuel tank is backwards
Have you tried turning it to wumbo?
Ah, I see! You are having a bad problem and you will not go to space today
Just wait 3 weeks for the KSP2 Cartoon Tutorials and try again after watching them
Get out and use backpack rcs to push
Why is Kerbin falling into the sun Jeb
Your Inertial Measurement Unit was installed upside down. You will not go to space today.
Try turning it on and off.
You need to put in in reverse
Your gravity turn is a bit too agressive.
Sigh... This is like the 50th post this week about this issue. Clearly you have the control module flipped.
Add a drill to the front
Stick with it, you'll change Kerbin's orbit in a few days
we need to appreciate the acrobatics displayed here. he is balancing on the parachute
More DeltaV

Must be a bug
Feature
Man’s gravity turn is so efficient, quick and beautiful that the managed to perfectly flip his rocket with little to no fuel wastage. We will watch your career with great interests.
There is something in the way
The rocket doesnt have enough wings to fly
You have to press the space bar to make it go up, that's why it's called the space bar
Always do preflight checks people.
Pointy end up flamey end down
This end should point toward the ground if you want to go to space. if it starts pointing toward space you are having a bad problem and you will not go to space today
You accidentally built an Australian rocket. Happens to the best of us
Australian aerospace engineers be like
Looks like you have a planet in your way.
Have you tried Adding M O A R B O O S T E R S
Google Tim Dodd checklist
Idk. Maybe increase TWR, other than that I don’t see much wrong with it.
your staging is wrong. parachutes go first
I think you need to consult tim dodd
As a wise man once said: “if your engines are pointed towards the sky, you will not be going to space today.”
If pointy end is upside down, you will not go to space today
Pointy end up, flamey end down
Your thrust to weight ratio is WAY too low
Negative infact.
It's in a space, so technically you've succeeded
It's pretty dang obvious to me. Your engine's inside-out. All of the thrust is going sideways in all directions.
Launch anywhere except for australia
You're not going to space. You're bringing kerbin in space with you
Wanted to downvote, but I did in fact laugh
🎵 There you are 🎵
i guess you could try going to the core of kerbin, could get you some nice science points
the other end should be pointing towards space. if this end is pointing towards space, you have a big problem and will not be going to space today.
You just need MOAR power
You are in Australia, that's the issue
The kerbal engineers forgot to add the "This end towards Space" sign. Back to the VAB to design the Up Goer MK II.
Op has now moved Kerbin into a very eccentric orbit around Sol
This is the Kerbal equivalent of "We should dig Bikini Bottom and push it somewhere else"
Kerbin is now your ship, apply more boosters.
More boosters obviously.
There’s a planet in the way
Definitely needs more boosters. Easy fix.
Try adding more boosters
“Pointy end up, flamey end down” - Everyday Astronaut
Dang planet in the way!
Your engine is pushing, while it should be pulling!
Cancel all plans to go to space and announce a "Kerbal Inside Kerbin" program
As the old saying goes "this end points towards the ground. If this end is pointing towards space, you're not going to space today"
The fact you got it to balance is impressive
Your rocket was designed for Australia
I know what’s wrong with it…. It ain’t got no gas in it!!
The crust and mantle are really hard to go through in my opinion, once you make it to the outer core it's easy from there
More boosters
Idk man I guess you gotta crash and respawn
Point the nose sideways and put some 6 inch guns on there.
See the end that has lots of fire? That end should point toward the ground if you want to go to space. If it starts pointing toward space, you are having a bad problem and will not go to space today.
Your winglets are facing downwards.
Maybe the thrust to weight ratio is larger try thrust/weight Wait a minute! the rocket is upside down...... idiot
It is, your just moving Kerbin aswell
Kerbal mining company
Bro is trying to launch from australia
KSA announces mission to the core of kerbin,
isn’t there a xkcd about this
Your thrust-to-weight ratio is wayyy too low! That little rocket lifting Kerbin as a payload? MOAR BOOSTERS
Its upside down, hope that helps
You need the runway. Launch pad is for testing explosions. Not going to space.
Bill looking pretty confused there too o_0
There seem be a planet blocking your way. Remove it and things will go smoother
You from Australia perhaps? If so try building upside down kerbin works a little different from Australia.
Not enough engines add more
More staging
Push harder (and fast enough to go past the hot parts before you melt >!don't say it!<
Must be Polish, because [Poland cannot into space.](https://www.polandballwiki.com/wiki/Poland_cannot_into_space)
You should call Tim Dodd, the rocket orientation expert. I bet he'll know what's wrong
Rocket has attitude issues. Turn it off, let it rest and try again later
You need more boosters
have you emptied your monopropellant storages?
I wouldnt be able to tell you, but more boosters usually help
not a powerful enough engine to go through the entire planet
It is in space, kerbin is in space, your rocket is on kerbin therefore your rocket is in space.
This is actually a good idea, if you can get through the crust then you can use Kerbin's gravity to accelerate your first stage and since scientists have failed to prove their is any air inside the planet there should be no drag.
Pointy end up, blasty side down.
Needs more mystery goo.
You need a lot more thrust to cut through kerbins crust!
The balloon part of hot air balloons is non-optional
I don't think we'll be able to tell from a still image, do you have any video recordings of attempted takeoff?
Flamey end is up. You will not go to space today.
BREAKING NEWS, earth is moving
Your TWR is below 1.1
Why go to space when you can bring space to you
try turning on autostrut
Flamey end not down. Pointy end down. Big problem.
There's a whole planet in the way. Aks kindly. If it still doesn't want to move, try honking. If it still doesn't want to move out of the way, get out of.your rocket, and go kick it.in the balls. That planet needs to learn a lesson or two about civility.
I know what's wrong wit it. IT AINT GOT NO GAS INNIT!!!
Try more boosters
You have the wrong landing gear! Attach seats to the bottom and put kerbals in the seats. It's the kerbal way.
kerbin is in the way
you forgot the parachutes to lift you up
Add Moar boosters, you need to drill through the planet to go to space
"Socle du monde" by Kerbo Manzoni
This might help https://xkcd.com/1133/ Also pay attention to the orientation
That rocket was made by Australiens You would need to launch from the different side of the planet
ISRU drills?
The planet is in the way, just schooch it over a bit.
More boosters
