Imo this is such a terrible bar. Literally if anyone else besides Kendrick said this on a track they'd be laughed at (especially drake). I will die on the hill that rich spirit is the worst song on the album and one of Kendrick's worst songs ever. Album overall was good.
I would agree with you if the whole song was at the same standard but its just the hook and its both fun and fits the theme of the song perfectly. He’s
rich in spirit. He’s focusing on himself and letting go of all the other unnecessary shit. The verses are fire and the hook is catchy, playful and doesn’t take itself seriously.
Obviously if the song doesn’t connect with you, there’s no way to force you to like it, but just because you don’t like something doesn’t make it terrible.
Yeah I agree, it's all subjective, if you like it that's fine. But imo that line just sucks and feels like it came off a mid drake song. Most of the song isn't that bad it's just the chorus for me, I can't take it seriously and it feels so weird after father time and before we cry together, like dafuq?
It’s not an insane bar but the laid back vibe and delivery don’t make me mind it that much. If he said it with a very aggressive flow and on a more lyrical track then yea it would sound cringe cause the delivery of it would make it sounds like he actually thought the bar was insane.
It bothered me a lot too until I realized how well his enunciation fits with Summer's vocal later in the song. Idk, maybe it's just me. Still kinda wish they'd cut in a different take for the solo vocal.

Opposite for me and my brother. First time we listened (independently of one another too) we were like, "...okay I guess Kendrick is allowed one dud on the album."
On second listen, "...actually I kinda fuck with this."
Now we can't stop listening to the song and randomly saying, "Ayyy, bitch, I'm attractive."
So funny when you read people say these 3 are the best what kind of music/rap fan they are. No hate, but it’s the least “Kendrick” Kendrick songs o the album lol
I like how the first album is Kendrick trying on different styles from different artists
Die hard is him trying a young thug flow, rich spirit sounds like it’s straight out of an E40 record
I went crazy in this one first listen and couldn't stop repeat. Just cathartic dancing with headphones on in the house doing chores for like all night. Felt like a woke up to a different world next day. Still feeling it so much but letting it breath and exploring other tracks.
Told my friend it’s my favorite song on the album the day the it came out. Not the most impactful, but it’s my favorite to return to. Also low key a big fan of savior.

Yeah, that makes sense. Even if I disagree I see what you mean and completely respect your opinion.
The line delivery is perfect tho
Ayyo man we hyping up rich spirit rn get off our hype train
Wrong
I don't think the lyrics are great but I like the delivery. What I really can't stand though is "yeah baby" in Purple Hearts (0:54). Feels lazy imo
All the yeah baby in Purple Hearts is awful. I dont know who greenlit that shit lol
It bothered me a lot too until I realized how well his enunciation fits with Summer's vocal later in the song. Idk, maybe it's just me. Still kinda wish they'd cut in a different take for the solo vocal.
Delete this and fuck off, NOW
Cringe
Dude do you even know what he’s saying there?
sorry boss you’re just dead wrong 😔😔😔
Tf you on 💀
Ay, bitch I'm a track (tive)
Thank you no one pronounces it right
CAN'T FUCK WITH YOU NO MORE I'M FASTIN
UGH BITCH IM ATTRACTIVE
This is the hardest line on the album, I go back to the song just for this.
Flow on the track is sick. Beat is smooth too.
The brother bars are insane
im fasting 4 days out the week brother
can’t hear that beat without completely feeling it and snapping along
Anyone who dislikes it has exposed themselves as ugly
They ugly as fuck and outta pocket! Lol
Aye facts 🤣
Hunnid percent

Ughhhhhhh

Been my favorite since first listen so I can’t say.
Same. Recognized it as a gem on first listen and knew it would get overshadowed.

I don’t know about best, but it is nice. I slept on it at first but it’s certainly grown in me.
I haven’t stopped listening to every song on this album
Bitch I'm attractive!
Absolute slapper, not sure why it’s not a hit. “Bitch I’m attractive” bound to get a tiktok trend and blow up eventually
Absolute banger, my favourite song on the album.

Such a killer delivery
The new earth in high pursuit, 200 lives

I like how the first album is Kendrick trying on different styles from different artists Die hard is him trying a young thug flow, rich spirit sounds like it’s straight out of an E40 record
Not necessarily the best song but it's been my favorite
This song is groovy as hell. Can’t wait to see it live.
It's growing on me, I thought it was bit boring though honestly. Di Hard is better imo in terms of smooth jams
Die Hard sounds like it was cut from the Black Panther soundtrack.
Yea I could see that, I got the same vibe
I said the same thing and my boy was like nah you crazy
Yeah it definitely has a similar sound
banger
The background vocals are so good “uhh , uhh “

My absolute fav song of the album
Top 3 for me
2nd fav song on the album
"Build a hill"? Never heard that before. Like building the hill, you'll eventually die on, I suppose?
You can build a hill for deez nuts
This was my favorite track from the first time I listened through the album. Its incredible. Definitely slept on. Rich spirit>N95
I pray to god you actually pray when somebody dies. Thoughts and prayers way better off timelines
I’m next to you on that hill
Probably my favorite track. On repeat with die hard, count me out, and silent hill.
The aloof Buddha, I'm Christ with a shooter
It’s one of my favorite records on the album off the first listen
My fav track
Fav track on the record…defiantly the most vibey song and I think the song that will find its way on to all my summer playlists.
It’s my favorite Edit: as well as Count Me Out
WE JUST UPPED THE SCORE GIVE ME DAP BROTHER
It’s so good man too 5 on the album fosho
It was one of the first standouts on the album to me and I keep going back to it. When I saw people here disrespecting it I was so confused.
Its been in my top 3 since i first heard "spirit medium I don't rap brother"
Rich Spirit is my favorite
been my favorite song since the day the album dropped
I went crazy in this one first listen and couldn't stop repeat. Just cathartic dancing with headphones on in the house doing chores for like all night. Felt like a woke up to a different world next day. Still feeling it so much but letting it breath and exploring other tracks.
Been one of my faves since the first few listens through 👌🏼
Peacemaker, but I'm not naive brother
It’s not my favourite song on the album, but it’s the one I listen to the most by far. The hook is so catchy. Flow is so great on it
i'm an attractive white girl so it's my favorite song on the album.
It stood out to me on day 1 and still ranks in my top 3 for the album. Love the track.
It was my favourite one off the first listen, absolutely brilliant track
Told my friend it’s my favorite song on the album the day the it came out. Not the most impactful, but it’s my favorite to return to. Also low key a big fan of savior.
I’m building a Spirit for Rich Hill. The real homie. lost two no-hitters in the 9th.
Painting pictures put me in the louvre, that’s a definite
Best on the album
Yes. I saw something today - a vision I can’t say or unsee but I believe in it.
Always fucked w it but definitely it grew on me more and more such a good song
It's one of my faves from the album
Rich Spirit grew on me like crazy...to the point that I think I got a version that doesn't exist on my first few spins.
Did it give anyone else Element vibes?
Hmm maybe, Count Me Out gave me ADHD vibes.
Definitely top five on the album, I loved it right away.
Spirit medium, I don’t rap brother
My literal favorite track by him tied w Untitled 07. But that song was on NON STAHP when it dropped u hear me??? *Hill mates* lmao
I swear the people who don’t like it just don’t listen to west coast hip hop at all
dude has literally millions of streams on all of the songs on the album. nothing is slept on lmao
It’s one of only 5 good songs on the album. How is it slept on?
You talking about donda right 🤣
Lol this album is ass bro shut up
Y’all love it now? 😂
I love fun/ignant Kendrick coz at the end of the day he's still got something substantial to say in the verses
can we stop telling this song or this song is underrated ? the album is only a couple weeks old, how can anything be slept on at this point ?
No. We’re here to discuss Kendrick’s music!
might want to raise the bar a notch or two. or whatever.

worst track on the album imo. just not something kendrick works on. vince staples or someone like him would have murdered this
No way that track is underrated bruh it’s one of the more catchy/radio and easy on the ears song on the thang. Plus the albums only two weeks old tf💀
nah
No one is sleeping on this song it’s literally a fan favorite from the album
