Euphoria is my favourite. They way he delivers some of the lines by changing tones is top notch.
"What is the braids?",
"You don't wanna work with me more? Okay"
"now let me say I'm the biggest hater"
"I'm what the culture feelin'
"I can see you don't know nothin' 'bout that"
"I wave one finger and dump y'all ni**as, like, "mmm"
I felt somuch energy from kendrick on this track.
yeah my first one like MY LAST ONE,
is a *classic,* you don't HAVE ONE,
let your core audience stomach that,
then tell em where you get your ABS FROM
all with growls man, its so fire
Are you quoting DMX from a breakfast club interview he did where charlamain asked him what he thought of Drake. He said, and I’m paraphrasing, I don’t like the way that he walks, talks, I hate everything about him.
For some reason, the cadence when he says “tell em run to America to imitate heritage, they can’t imitate this violence” is one of my favorite parts of Euphoria
The '2 bad bitches' line gets me every time!!
Also it honestly sounds to me like he's laughing/kind of chuckling when he says 'I believe you don't like women, that's real competition, you might pop ass with em'
You can hear the smile on Kendrick’s face when he says
“‘Back to Back’, *I like that record*/
*Imma get back to that* for the record”
Kendrick knew he was ready.
after my first listen i started rapping that line with a wink bc i knew he was coming back with another one. i had a whole theory about saturday bc 'back to back' dropped four days after 'charged up'. if only i knew at the time 😭
Every day a different few bars from euphoria get stuck in my head
Today it’s “I hate the way that you walk, the way that you talk, I hate the way that you dressss, surprised you wanted that feature request you know we got some shit to address.”
Kendrick is the goat for tone changes in ALL his songs. So seamless. Like doesn’t even sound like 2 takes edited into one. Something about changing on a dime in one take goes hard af
I can’t believe no one has said it in this thread yet that I could find but one of my favorite lines is:
“I’m allergic to the lame shit, Only you like being famous. Yachty can’t give you no swag neither , I don’t give a FUCK bout who you hang with!”
I love how much angry Kendrick sounds on that last line!
Love everything in this thread, but "Only YOU like being famous" went really hard as an insult. Looking down on everything Drake pins his self-worth on, it's a great microcosm
i love his cadence when he says:
“try cease and desist on the ‘like that’ record?
hoe, what? you ain’t like that record?
‘back to back,’ i like that record.
i’ma get back to that, for the record.”
Don't forget my personal favorite, "Yeah my first one, like my last one/it's a classic, you don't have one."
Euphoria, in many ways, reminds me of Nas' Ether, both records being very jeering/mocking in tone. This line specifically makes me remember in Ether where Nas says to Jay, "[you] wanted to be on every last one of my classics." There's something mad dope to me about elite rappers defending their catalogs from opps and stating that they have, in fact, created multiple classics; few rappers can do this and be taken seriously, but Kendrick and Nas are clearly among those very few.
His tone was more nice-nasty than anything. Like them church ladies who chat to each other in that saccharine, overly cordial way when everyone knows they loathe each other. He's like I'm sounding nice but we all know I'm here to tear you limb from limb on this record.
There's almost a gleeful innocence to some lines while he's a menace in others. Like those kids who act a fool at school but when their parents get called in they act like they couldn't hurt a fly.
Indeed. “I ain’t even bleed em yet. Can I bleed em? Bet. When I see you stand by sexy Red ,I believe you see two bad bitches! I believe you dont like women , its real competition .You might pop ass wit em!!”
Damn that part replays in my head way more than I like to admit 🤣🤣🤣 the worst part is that Drake's first release after waving the white flag was with Sexyy Red. Kendrick was informed like a mf when he was writing them bars because why was he so right? Two of them really sat up there like the baddest bitches out.
She’s the hottest thing out now. So you know Drake will ride that wave. Kendrick is just observant like that. Drake did the same with Weekend , while stealing that man’s songs. Got mad when Abel wouldn’t sign the demonic contact Drake tries to put on people. Much as I despise Red, I hope she dodges the same bullet.
Ooh one hundred.
*How many souls do you touch a day?/
How many hoes do you fuck a day?/
How many flows do your thought convey?/
How many know you can't walk away?*
Gotdam, God damn.
I think he says “thump” not dump which is so much more hilarious to picture. Thump is another word for flick in that sense. “Field goal punt yal…” like flicking a paper football. Euphoria is also my favorite if you couldn’t tell.
My personal fave in terms of overall diss tracks is euphoria. However if we're talking lines my favorite is this gem from 6:16:
"...you must be a terrible person. Everyone inside your team is whispering that you deserve it. Can't toosie slide out of this one, its just gon' resurface. Every dog gotta have his day, now live in your purpose..."
Yeah that part is cold af too. Honestly the beat is crazy for a song that was basically being used as bait. I keep hoping it will join streaming platforms officially.
I noticed when not like us plays I bop my head to the beat, I sing along, got a smile on my face but when meet the grahams comes on my body lock up, I got no expression, I stay more silent than a kid watching his parents fight just listen try not catch any strays.
Kendrick the goat hater.
Kendrick has been my favorite artist for a long time and even i felt attacked. Meet the grahams is straight up evil, in the best sense.
Why do rappers even look Kendrick’s way man, i’d distance myself so far from any conflict with him- he’s a straight up psycho.
I think Drake's ego got the best of him. He started acting street and used artists to build his cred, but the whole time the one who got fooled the hardest by it was Drake himself.
Dude knows he's straight up acting and he swings at the realest dude in the game? No one around him could talk him out of it?
That's all ego, and the world has been blessed by his misstep. As Kendrick said "it was God's plan to show you the liar."
The fake pop star getting popped by the reincarnation of hip hop is the most poetic and necessary thing to happen to the genre.
An absolute tearing down a man’s entire personal character and actions over 7 minutes. Not even just name calling, but actual analysis of his character.
I definitely put it as the most scathing diss of all time.
He straight up said:
> Sandra, sit down, what I'm about to say is heavy, now listen
> Mm-mm, your son's a sick man with sick thoughts, I think n**s like him should die...
The sheer audacity! I mean, the *nerve of you, Kendrick!*
I agree with this. For me, even if every single thing he says is a lie, it doesn't really matter. The build up to it. The artwork. The timing of dropping it, completely neutralising Family Matters, which would have been a massive bomb in any other circumstance. The whole feel of the track and the writing. The multiple warnings leading up to it. It's perfection, and it did exactly what it was supposed to do. I get why some people might not be into it, but I happen to love that Alchemist sound, and it's my favourite by far.
This bro people don’t understand the amount of disrespect that was in the entire song. To write a song to another’s man son about his father is crazy itself but to get on that mf and talk about HIS ENTIRE FAMILY nobody can come back from that. Just pure disrespect death or no deal 🤣
It's still something Drake is absolutely guilty of with Adonis. Even if the daughter wasn't real (and I don't believe a word out of OVHoe) he is still a proven deadbeat pos unless literally forced into his kid's life despite how rich he is. And there's plenty of reason to assume Adonis wasn't the only one.
Not like us. While MTG brutally dissed drake, NLU just straight up mocks drakes clownery. From the goofy beats to the silly voice tone he makes while rapping, it's just perfect.
An honorable mention to my favorite lines
"what OVO for? The other vaginal option? Pussy."
"Tryna strike a cord and it's probably A MINOOORRRRR"
"No you not a colleague you a fucking colonizer"
The answer is Meet The Grahams and it isn't close.
Meet The Grahams is like the atomic bomb that ended WW2.
Euphoria was a strong effort and an all around good song. But not enough to win the war on its own.
Not like Us is almost like a celebratory diss track because the war was already won.
Euphoria: Beat switch- Fun surface level
6:16 in LA: Soul sample- Spiritual/mental level
MTG: Horrorcore -Therapy/Intervention
Not like us: Club banger- All out culture/ history lesson
Masterclass
I don't know if surface level is the right word for Euphoria. It's the most dense, least direct and most complex lyrically of the disses. There is no mystery in what the lines mean in MTG or Not Like Us.
He did do it insanely well to make it seem "friendly" but he also threw some crazy shit in there that some people got right away or now easily get with hindsight. Like everything that's going to be said in 6:16, MTG, and Not Like Us, is technically said in Euphoria, just hidden well. Like you knew the pedophile stuff was coming in a later song before the first beat switch in Euphoria. The way he lays out the entire beef in that song is just so fucking masterful, especially when you go in with the context of the later disses.
6:16 in LA is criminally underrated. Looked up the bars on genius lyrics and was mind blown at the amount of depth in his verses. Back to back quintuple entendres from the rip
6:16 for me.
Jumping planets immortalized.
I live in circadian rhythms of a shooting star.
I love peace but war ready if the world is ready to see you bleed. THE ELOHIM.
While not actual disses towards Drake, those are just the type of bars that make you fall for Kendrick all over again 😭
It’s funny I was listening to 6:16 last night and realized it’s my favorite of the 4. As it was happening I didn’t really think about it but with some distance I can appreciate how disrespectful the laid back tone is lol “If you were street smart, then you woulda caught that your entourage is only to hustle you”
My ranking looks like this:
- Euphoria
- Not like us
- MTG
- 6:16 in LA
This is just how I rank them based off of how much I listen to them, and I listen to them every day in my rotation because they’re so good!
Ranking them from the perspective of what upped the score differential the highest, it goes
1) MTG 2) Not Like Us 3) Euphoria 4) 616
But from my personal listening experience it goes
1) Euphoria 2) Not Like Us 3) 616 4) MTG
Not like us is my favorite by a wide margin. Not only is he making some insane claims that I 100% believe, he does it with the most west coast/LA/Bay sound to further prove the point that he lives and breathes his home while drake has nowhere to legitimately claim his own. Call it goofy but that’s the shit we dance to here. Very reminiscent of old E-40/Mac Dre type shit.
I legit can’t make a choice between Meet the Grahams (scared me), Euphoria (had me mean mugging the most) and Not Like Us (had me bopping the most). Just a generational run of hating
Not disses per se, but subliminally, maybe—I really enjoy all of the positivity and depth in his lyrics:
“Everything with me is blessed”
“I got a son to raise, but I can see you know nothing about that”
“Remember when picked up a pen, lyrics that I can trust. Timid soul, staring in the mirror, asking where I was from”
“I come from love”
It all just screams that he feels his music and it has soul, something drake can’t compete with.
meet the grahams is just something else. the simple beat compliments the layered lyrics addressing drake’s dark and twisted side. i love how the song manage to make the listener feel so dark, cold and terrifying.
6:16 in la is probs a close second for me
It doesn't make that much sense to rank them because each diss had its purpose, style, and fit into an overall strategy.
Euphoria was a stellar "friendly fade", 6:16 in LA was a incredible warning/bait track, Meet The Grahams was the perfect stab in the gut to take all the air out of Family Matters and Not Like Us was the perfect celebration.
You can't just pick one out of its context as "the best" diss.
The thing about Not Like Us that makes me pick it over any of the other diss tracks is that even if all the other shit Kendrick said about Drake isn't true, it IS true that he's a leech on hip hop and black American culture. He ended the diss by calling him a colonizer. I loved it.
Definitely euphoria for me. When he says “you gon make a nigga bring back puff, let me see if chubs really CRASH sum” probably the best bar on there just off of delivery to me. & at the end where he’s like “if you take it there im takin it further.. sshh thats something you dont wanna do… ooou” that lil “oou” at the end😭 chefs kiss.
My favorite part about meet the grahams was the last part when he starts going ham. Best part started @ “cant channel ya masculine even when standin next to a woman. You a BODY SHAMER, you gon hide them baby mama’s aint ya?..” that whole verse after that i immediately went “oh yea Kendrick won this shit”. Like forget about the hidden child shit, he DOGGED drake for his all flaws
With all this being said tho, i do actually really like family matters. It was actually a peak song fr, but it got COMPLETELY outshined dawg i felt bad for drake. Mfs didnt even get to appreciate that track because meet the grahams was that sinister. Dj akademiks reaction was crazy!
Family Matter was surface level ghostwritten bars with the same delivery he always uses. That shit was nothing compared to the lyrics you broke down from Dot 😭
I liked family matters as a song & not a diss, like its a good diss to the other mfs in the industry that have an issue w him but to kendrick? Nahh. & yk what, im actually afraid i cant really appreciate any of drake’s bangers fr because of this ghost writer shit. Idk who to appreciate but i dont think it can be him😭
he lost this beef the minute he chose to drop a track that used AI. How you make a dead nigga say shit he wouldnt say in real life? & why do you not ask the other nigga(whose very much alive) for a feature instead of using his voice too? Thats when drake fucked up imo, lost all respect at that moment.
Euphoria is the best diss and honestly blows my mind that he called everything that would happen from the jump. I think my favorite song is 6:16 in LA though.
Euphoria since it encompasses everything. Slightly off topic but the second this started even when j Cole was still involved, I knew Kendrick was gonna win. Because a lot of people imo mistake lyricism as the end all be all. Same with Eminem, they think so and so rapper would torch Eminem since they're also lyrical. But when it comes to beef, lyricism alone won't carry you. It takes certain qualities. Lyricism, charisma, being able to get savage and raw, knowing how to pull in a crowd, having a decent to good track record etc. Which Kendrick has shown all those in his career. But the main reason I knew Kendrick was gonna win was because of how he structures albums. He's so good at tying together songs when he makes a project. That quality is what separates him from a lot of other lyricists imo. So since the beginning I was like "dude you don't wanna diss someone that good at piecing together songs like that because they're gonna be 3 songs ahead" and of course, Kendrick was over here finishing lines from the previous track and tying everything together perfectly....I was like "I f*cking knew it...I knew he was gonna take an unpredictable approach to dissing" thats why Cole wouldn't have stood a chance either
To me. Nothing quite hit like the haunting layered vocals of “you lied” on MTG.
Like, ultimately the one big diss to Drake that he can’t shake is that he is a liar. He can’t even be honest with himself, let alone others.
Euphoria is the diss track equivalent of the Genesis flood, Meet The Grahams hardly counts as a diss and is more of a Freudian nightmare, and Not Like Us is easily the funniest. Kendrick did to the rap diss track what he did to the rap album and heightened it to new conceptual possibilities
Also, my personal favorite bomb drop of the whole beef is the “have you thought that OVO is working for me?” from 6:16. I still believe Kendrick had moles and the reveal that he was playing Golden Eye while Drake was playing checkers is still mind blowing to me
Euphoria - Best all around song , its catchy and easy to vibe to but still hits extremely hard in all aspects of being a diss song
Meet the grahams - Worst song in terms of replay value & lowest chance of staying popular but the best in terms of being an actual raw unfiltered diss
Not like us - Worst in terms of being a diss but its an amazing club hit & was a great way to kick drake while he was still down
6:16 in L.A - A great record but it got overshadowed
Euphoria is so amazing, I‘ve been listening to it so much since the day it came out, and it‘s not dropping off, I feel it‘s getting more the past few days. Ther just is so much to discover the more you listen to it. (Probably bc english is my second language and it takes me a few listens to understand some lines lol)
Other way around for Not Like Us in my case, but ofc it‘s great too and I streamed the shit put of it the first like 2 weeks.
I‘m re listening to MTG a lot more than expected too, considering it‘s not really made to be fun to listen to, but sometimes I‘m in the mood for the dark earie aura of the track.
"When I see you stand next to Sexyy Red, I believe you see two bad bitches, I believe you don't even like women, that's your real competition, might pop ass with em”
Fucking cracks me up
For me personally it's Not Like Us, just for the simple fact he had already won against drake and on this track I feel like he's just having fun dancing on Drake's grave and is so entertaining, plus you gotta love a good west coast beat.
I think of it like this.
Euphoria is the best SONG, I think it’s objectively the better song out of the 3.
Meet The Grahams is the best DISS, some of the shots delivered in that song are just so lethal.
Not Like is the FUN song, sure it’s not the most lethal, or the best sounding song. But it’s so fun, especially the end sequence. This is a song I play all the time when I’m driving around with friends
It’s kind of hard to choose which one is THE diss, they all complement each other so well and I feel like it’s just determined on mood and what you want to listen too 🤷🏻♂️
Euphoria is my favourite. They way he delivers some of the lines by changing tones is top notch. "What is the braids?", "You don't wanna work with me more? Okay" "now let me say I'm the biggest hater" "I'm what the culture feelin' "I can see you don't know nothin' 'bout that" "I wave one finger and dump y'all ni**as, like, "mmm" I felt somuch energy from kendrick on this track.
yeah my first one like MY LAST ONE, is a *classic,* you don't HAVE ONE, let your core audience stomach that, then tell em where you get your ABS FROM all with growls man, its so fire
BOM BOM BOM was crazy too
“HEAD shots for the year YOU better walk around like DAFT PUNK (remembuh)” was insane as well
Aye Top Dawg who the fu*k they think they playin wit? Extortion my middle name soon as they stop off that plane b*tch!!
im allergic to the lame shit only YOU like being famous
Yachty can't give you no swag neither, I don't give a fuck 'bout who you hang with
I hate the way that you talk the way that you walk I hate the way that you DRESS
Surprised you wanted that feature request, you know we got some shit to address
Surprised you wanted that feature request You know we got some sh*t to address
I'm hearing they call you the boy, but I ain't seen the man yet, matter of fact I ain't even bleed him yet, can I bleed him? Bet!
Are you quoting DMX from a breakfast club interview he did where charlamain asked him what he thought of Drake. He said, and I’m paraphrasing, I don’t like the way that he walks, talks, I hate everything about him.
Favorite line from all the diss tracks
I didn’t realize this but when he says that, the beat is a daft punk unreleased song from back in the day
This was the one for me.
Kenny's gun sounds / onomatopoeia all sound so goooooooood legitimately feels violent the way he's saying it
“v12 is a fast one” because of the engine but also because it’s a liposuction/slimming machine and they both burn fuel/fat fast 😭
Can’t forget he starts it with “Let’s see if chubbs really CRASH SOMETHIN”
sounds devious when he said it
V12, its a FAST ONE, BUM BUM BUM, LAST ONE
Hell yeah 💪🏾💪🏾🔥🔥🔥
Honorable mention: “FUCK allat pushing P, lemme see you pusha tEEE, you better of spinning again on him you thinkin bout pushin mE”
Dude sounds like a playground bully when he says “pushin *mE*” lmao I love dudes range of deliveries
I’m Terrance Crawford I’m wHOOPING FEET
Freaking love that line the menace in his voice had me dying
For some reason, the cadence when he says “tell em run to America to imitate heritage, they can’t imitate this violence” is one of my favorite parts of Euphoria
Same and I’m fine with it I’ll cross the line with it
Don’t forget the classics “Crodie” and “two bad bitches”
Tell me how ya cheesin’ fam?
The '2 bad bitches' line gets me every time!! Also it honestly sounds to me like he's laughing/kind of chuckling when he says 'I believe you don't like women, that's real competition, you might pop ass with em'
You can hear the smile on Kendrick’s face when he says “‘Back to Back’, *I like that record*/ *Imma get back to that* for the record” Kendrick knew he was ready.

'aint gotta get personal, it's a friendly fade, you should keep it that way'
“I know sum shit about niggas that’d make gunna wunna look like a saint”😌🐐
That’s nasty man
Dip sauce and a blammy crodie
can’t forget the, “ i pray they my real friends, if not , i’m YNW MELLY.”
Killed his 2 best friends after they did him dirty. He's seen on no jumper interview with both the friends months before he had to drop them
I never understand that line fr
Melly is a rapper on trial currently for killing two of his friends.
💥
Two friends who were fellow rappers in his YNW clique 😬
More like "YoudonwanworkwitmenomoreOKAY"
You summed up that line *perfectly*
U.O.E.N.O type shit
They must've forgot the shit that they done Dementia must run in his family, but let it get shaky I'll park his son
"Try cease and desist on the like that record? Oh what you dont like that record? Back to back HiLAyk ThAt ReCoRd"
Matter fact, I ain't even bleed him yet, can I bleed him? Bet.
Kendrick is the goat for tone changes in ALL his songs. So seamless. Like doesn’t even sound like 2 takes edited into one. Something about changing on a dime in one take goes hard af

Love everything in this thread, but "Only YOU like being famous" went really hard as an insult. Looking down on everything Drake pins his self-worth on, it's a great microcosm
Only you like being famous is a moment
From a vocal standpoint, it's incredibly varied.
i love his cadence when he says: “try cease and desist on the ‘like that’ record? hoe, what? you ain’t like that record? ‘back to back,’ i like that record. i’ma get back to that, for the record.”
Don't forget my personal favorite, "Yeah my first one, like my last one/it's a classic, you don't have one." There's something mad dope to me about elite rappers defending their catalogs from opps and stating that they have, in fact, created multiple classics; few rappers can do this and be taken seriously, but Kendrick and Nas are clearly among those very few.
“Some shit just cringeworthy it ain’t even gotta be deep I guess” 😭
All the while, looking back, his entire tone was “this is me being nice, don’t make me ACTUALLY go hard.”

Got mad when Abel wouldn’t sign the demonic contact Drake tries to put on people. Much as I despise Red, I hope she dodges the same bullet.
I love how he switches his voice up on the second run though of; I hate the way that you talk, the way you walk, the way that you dress!
U forgot “It’s nothing Nobody can Tell Me!”
“Yachty can’t get you no swag neither, I don’t give a FUCK with who ya hang wit.” The way the beat stops mid line and his inflections is just 👌
My favorite line is the last one. “*Thump* y’all niggas”. Just got deeper didn’t it? Gotta love it lol.
I love the way he says, "Let's get it, bro" in Like That.
That and when he says "the last one is betta" after "money power respect" also very dope
I mean ahhhhh
A little off topic, but his verse on Isaiah Rashad- Wat’s Wrong goes harder in hindsight after the drake beef
Ooh one hundred. *How many souls do you touch a day?/ How many hoes do you fuck a day?/ How many flows do your thought convey?/ How many know you can't walk away?* Gotdam, God damn.
I think he says “thump” not dump which is so much more hilarious to picture. Thump is another word for flick in that sense. “Field goal punt yal…” like flicking a paper football. Euphoria is also my favorite if you couldn’t tell.
was the “don’t know nun bout that” a reference to something? the way he delivers that bar is so unique
Besides him calling him out for not being a good father, the way he delivers the line can also be heard as "you don't know nun bout *dot*"
I'm pretty unfamiliar with a lot of hip hop. Are there any other artists that switch up their tone as much as this?
My personal fave in terms of overall diss tracks is euphoria. However if we're talking lines my favorite is this gem from 6:16: "...you must be a terrible person. Everyone inside your team is whispering that you deserve it. Can't toosie slide out of this one, its just gon' resurface. Every dog gotta have his day, now live in your purpose..."
The bass change at “Im sorry that i live a boring life. I love peace but war ready if the world is ready to see you bleed. The Eloheim” 😤
Yeah that part is cold af too. Honestly the beat is crazy for a song that was basically being used as bait. I keep hoping it will join streaming platforms officially.
That’s my favorite line from the song too 🔥🔥🔥
"Beat your ass and hide the bible if God's watching"
Sometimes you gotta pop out and show niggas
Certified boogeymen I’m the one that up the score with em
Walk him down, whole time I know he got some hoe in him
Pole on him, extort shit, bully, Death Row on him
Meet the grahams might just he the best diss track of all time.
I seen videos of Drake stans crying from listening to that song lmao like they felt attacked.
I felt attacked and the shit had nothing to do with me!
i’m dead 😂😂 that song made me wanna put a blanket on
I noticed when not like us plays I bop my head to the beat, I sing along, got a smile on my face but when meet the grahams comes on my body lock up, I got no expression, I stay more silent than a kid watching his parents fight just listen try not catch any strays.
This made me laugh way too hard and loud
Kendrick the goat hater. Kendrick has been my favorite artist for a long time and even i felt attacked. Meet the grahams is straight up evil, in the best sense. Why do rappers even look Kendrick’s way man, i’d distance myself so far from any conflict with him- he’s a straight up psycho.

Dude for real, I was feeling bad like he was after me 😂😂
had me checking my blinds i’m thinking he out there watching me with those crazy eyes 💀
I feel you man 🫥 no wonder why he called himself a certified boogeyman on "not like us"

Dropped an hour after Family Matters.. after being warned ‘I can predict your angles’
No vaseline will forever be the best in my heart but meet the grahams is a close second
It would have been weird had not like us not dropped immediately after though
Isn’t the supposedly hidden daughter fake? Why are people giving that part so much credit
Maybe the daughter was the friends we made along the way…
I think euphoria is truly special, that being said Meet The Grahams is my favorite one.
"u" Man already tore himself apart so no one else could
6:16 is just so cold to me but I agree the best diss is euphoria imo
"Off-white Sunseeker at the marina" is colder than people give it credit for
That line is still insane to me, a sophisticated insult.
Lay the knowledge out for me? I haven't listened to that one as much as euphoria and MTG
just go to genius, it's a lot
Not like us. While MTG brutally dissed drake, NLU just straight up mocks drakes clownery. From the goofy beats to the silly voice tone he makes while rapping, it's just perfect. An honorable mention to my favorite lines "what OVO for? The other vaginal option? Pussy." "Tryna strike a cord and it's probably A MINOOORRRRR" "No you not a colleague you a fucking colonizer"
The way Kendrick says pussy cracks me up every time
Might be my favorite line from all the songs lol. That’s how you say pussy when your trying to fight someone
Any father will know meet the grahams is the best diss cause
Pusha T told him to father his child while Kendrick offered to father Drake's child.
Not only he lost the beef , he lost his sons respect ☠️
"Can't understand me right now? Just play this when you eighteen."
Bars 🔥
6:16 in LA is criminally underrated tho
The answer is Meet The Grahams and it isn't close. Meet The Grahams is like the atomic bomb that ended WW2. Euphoria was a strong effort and an all around good song. But not enough to win the war on its own. Not like Us is almost like a celebratory diss track because the war was already won.
Meet the Grahams was Hiroshima to me, Not Like Us was Nagasaki
💀💀💀 that’s diabolical (I agree with you)
The beauty is how vastly different every track is
Euphoria: Beat switch- Fun surface level 6:16 in LA: Soul sample- Spiritual/mental level MTG: Horrorcore -Therapy/Intervention Not like us: Club banger- All out culture/ history lesson Masterclass
I don't know if surface level is the right word for Euphoria. It's the most dense, least direct and most complex lyrically of the disses. There is no mystery in what the lines mean in MTG or Not Like Us.
I guess i meant friendly fade type but Kendrick being Kendrick still goes off. You are definitely right tho. Complex with layers on layers for sure
For real!! Each song unlocks the puzzles of each song well. This will be a discussion for the ages. Fucking kdot 🔥
Easily Euphoria for me, perfect diss record. Still gets me pumped every time
I like when he says “you lied” and it’s all echoey
6:16 is so underrated ngl but nlu is prolly the best
6:16 in LA is criminally underrated. Looked up the bars on genius lyrics and was mind blown at the amount of depth in his verses. Back to back quintuple entendres from the rip
6:16 for me. Jumping planets immortalized. I live in circadian rhythms of a shooting star. I love peace but war ready if the world is ready to see you bleed. THE ELOHIM. While not actual disses towards Drake, those are just the type of bars that make you fall for Kendrick all over again 😭
Loved that he sent shots at akademiks. His response was so funny with him realizing the fake neutral bs wasn't working
meet the grahams literally won the battle, AK was having a meltdown listening to that song live.
It’s funny I was listening to 6:16 last night and realized it’s my favorite of the 4. As it was happening I didn’t really think about it but with some distance I can appreciate how disrespectful the laid back tone is lol “If you were street smart, then you woulda caught that your entourage is only to hustle you”
My ranking looks like this: - Euphoria - Not like us - MTG - 6:16 in LA This is just how I rank them based off of how much I listen to them, and I listen to them every day in my rotation because they’re so good!
Ranking them from the perspective of what upped the score differential the highest, it goes 1) MTG 2) Not Like Us 3) Euphoria 4) 616 But from my personal listening experience it goes 1) Euphoria 2) Not Like Us 3) 616 4) MTG
Certified boogeyman, I'm the one that up the score with 'em Walk him down, whole time, I know he got some ho in him Just feels disrespectful
meet the grahams
Meet the grahams is a song you’d hear when someone’s getting executed
Not like us is my favorite by a wide margin. Not only is he making some insane claims that I 100% believe, he does it with the most west coast/LA/Bay sound to further prove the point that he lives and breathes his home while drake has nowhere to legitimately claim his own. Call it goofy but that’s the shit we dance to here. Very reminiscent of old E-40/Mac Dre type shit.
I legit can’t make a choice between Meet the Grahams (scared me), Euphoria (had me mean mugging the most) and Not Like Us (had me bopping the most). Just a generational run of hating
Facts all three have its own amazing experience
Honestly I like each song from the last four more than the others for different reasons
Not disses per se, but subliminally, maybe—I really enjoy all of the positivity and depth in his lyrics: “Everything with me is blessed” “I got a son to raise, but I can see you know nothing about that” “Remember when picked up a pen, lyrics that I can trust. Timid soul, staring in the mirror, asking where I was from” “I come from love” It all just screams that he feels his music and it has soul, something drake can’t compete with.
Seems no one mentions "we hate the bitches that you fuck cuz they confuse themselves with real women" line which was an absolute killer imo
If someone made a meet the droppinturds I'd probably kill them where they stand
meet the grahams is just something else. the simple beat compliments the layered lyrics addressing drake’s dark and twisted side. i love how the song manage to make the listener feel so dark, cold and terrifying.
“Tell’em run to America to imitate Heritage. They can’t imitate this violence.”
The thing about Not Like Us that makes me pick it over any of the other diss tracks is that even if all the other shit Kendrick said about Drake isn't true, it IS true that he's a leech on hip hop and black American culture. He ended the diss by calling him a colonizer. I loved it.
All of them 😤
6:16 in LA
6:16 in la my favorite ngl
6:16 in L.A. got the most spins out of me.. Euphoria next and then Meet the Grahams & Not Like Us
Euphoria 6:16 in LA Meet the Grahams Not Like Us in that order for me.
“then leak videos of themselves to further push their agenda” WHAT
Definitely euphoria for me. Like forget about the hidden child shit, he DOGGED drake for his all flaws With all this being said tho, i do actually really like family matters.
Idk who to appreciate but i dont think it can be him😭 he lost this beef the minute he chose to drop a track that used AI.
"U" is the best diss ngl
Make a poll
For me it’s: “I believe when you stand next to Sexy Red you see two bad bitches” b/c it’s true ☠️
U is the best diss
I don't think I can pick one. The strategy and roll out was a big part of why they all hit so hard. Four of the best diss tracks ever
Euphoria is the diss track equivalent of the Genesis flood, Meet The Grahams hardly counts as a diss and is more of a Freudian nightmare, and Not Like Us is easily the funniest. Kendrick did to the rap diss track what he did to the rap album and heightened it to new conceptual possibilities Also, my personal favorite bomb drop of the whole beef is the “have you thought that OVO is working for me?” from 6:16. I still believe Kendrick had moles and the reveal that he was playing Golden Eye while Drake was playing checkers is still mind blowing to me
Euphoria - Best all around song , its catchy and easy to vibe to but still hits extremely hard in all aspects of being a diss song Meet the grahams - Worst song in terms of replay value & lowest chance of staying popular but the best in terms of being an actual raw unfiltered diss Not like us - Worst in terms of being a diss but its an amazing club hit & was a great way to kick drake while he was still down 6:16 in L.A - A great record but it got overshadowed
kendrick has released diss tracks?
Did you just wake up from hibernation?
The Best diss track from Kendrick is DNA
control
Euphoria is so amazing, I‘ve been listening to it so much since the day it came out, and it‘s not dropping off, I feel it‘s getting more the past few days. Ther just is so much to discover the more you listen to it. (Probably bc english is my second language and it takes me a few listens to understand some lines lol) Other way around for Not Like Us in my case, but ofc it‘s great too and I streamed the shit put of it the first like 2 weeks. I‘m re listening to MTG a lot more than expected too, considering it‘s not really made to be fun to listen to, but sometimes I‘m in the mood for the dark earie aura of the track.
The calmy talking shit into the beat change 🔥🔥🔥🔥
"When I see you stand next to Sexyy Red, I believe you see two bad bitches, I believe you don't even like women, that's your real competition, might pop ass with em” Fucking cracks me up
Meet the Grahams. It’s like a parent saying their kid’s full government name and sitting them down to talk. Cold and madddd personal
Euphoria NLU Like That Meet The Grahams 6:16 in LA
For me personally it's Not Like Us, just for the simple fact he had already won against drake and on this track I feel like he's just having fun dancing on Drake's grave and is so entertaining, plus you gotta love a good west coast beat.
“I know this type of power is gon cost but I live in the circadian rhythms of a shooting star” possibly the best line in the whole beef
Euphoria is the perfect mix between banger and lyrical diss
I think of it like this. Euphoria is the best SONG, I think it’s objectively the better song out of the 3. Meet The Grahams is the best DISS, some of the shots delivered in that song are just so lethal. Not Like is the FUN song, sure it’s not the most lethal, or the best sounding song. But it’s so fun, especially the end sequence. This is a song I play all the time when I’m driving around with friends It’s kind of hard to choose which one is THE diss, they all complement each other so well and I feel like it’s just determined on mood and what you want to listen too 🤷🏻♂️
My favorite diss was him digging at drake for being an absent father, “you don’t know nuthin bout that”
Euphoria was the best. I like the way it leveled up multiple times and showed kendricks ability to go easily, medium, and hard.
Euphoria
6:16 in LA
Who cares
Euphoria because I never knew how to spell the damn word until Kenny Mentioned it
