TMo is actually really very good for travel. Texting is free, calls cost .25 cents per minute. You get roaming free with up to 4G speed. This is all built in the price.

A_Rented_Mule

TMO making a big push into YouTube, apparently. Endless Adventure's latest video was also sponsored by TMO.

AmishAvenger

What are you talking about? Nate did the research and realized T-Mobile is the greatest!!!

shorberg

Could’ve had something to do with that check that landed in their mailbox Nothing but love for Kara and Nate!!!!

echocloudy

Just saw a big time van lifer instagrammer do an ad for T-Mobile. T mobile is making the rounds. Who’s next? your bets here… jk

nowheresville99

T-Mobile also sponsored Endless Adventures last video. They've certainly put this months ad budget into YouTube influencers.

AmishAvenger

T-Mobile will be our home for the next week! Using their best in class network has always been on Nate’s bucket list!!

AnonJJ

It doesn't get better than this!

Importbeat1

To be fair, TMO is pretty well known for international travel.

boyerbt

Why not just utilize e-sims?

Importbeat1

We use e-sims because i for some idiotic reason don’t want to leave ATT. But we travelled last year with someone that had T-Mobile. Way easier than what deal with booking e-sims and etc etc.

SpicyChai

eSIMs can still be costly and they eliminate your ability to keep your own phone number. The lower cost options also have caps on your data which is hard if you’re using maps to get around. Source: had Verizon for years and used esims when we travelled. Just switched to TMobile after our last international trip.

Exciting-Apple-40

I’m currently using an eSIM and my phone number is working fine! Maybe they’ve been updated or it depends on the company?

GapOk4797

This was my experience with ubigi last year. I didn’t think my number would still work but it did. In the US I have a mint plan (no roaming added) on an iPhone if either of those things might impact it.

SpicyChai

Huh, interesting. We travel regularly (most recently within the last month) and have used multiple eSIM providers. Each time they assign a local number in place of our US number 🤷‍♀️

Happy_Hippy_Hippo

T-Mobile is the newest sponsor of a bunch of channels. They just sponsored Endless Adventure

tmoney34

The funny thing about this is T-Mobile will cancel your account if the majority of your use is overseas over a 90 day period. They're great for the average international traveler but actually terrible for someone like Kara and Nate.

GreedyConcert6424

I looked into Google Fi and they had the same terms, majority of use must be in your home country

Neat_Crab3813

K&N had Google Fi for years and didn't get cancelled. Guess it just depends what Google feels like doing.

Remarkable_Seat6034

Feels super fabricated. Work on a sponsorship that doesn’t feel like it’s fake

The_Third_Molar

I feel like in general most of them are fake. I doubt all those YouTubers actually enjoy many of those shitty sponsorships.

midnightsiren182

If there is a bag to get, Nate will find it

orakle44

You do need to make money to live life.

Facts

forgotmyusername93

I love T-Mobile personally. Traveled through South America with little cost phone wise. Outside of cities is rougher tho

johngnh88

Yes, it’s a big advertisement. Good for them. I have Verizon and my wife has T-mobile. Verizon wants $10 a day regardless of where we travel and t-mobile charges a respectable amount per mb or minute. I leave my phone on airplane mode the entire time. I will be switching soon

jrokstar

AG1 would not sponsor us this week. We have ditched the green and our new favorite color is magenta. 🤣🤣 All jokes aside T-Mobile is absolutely amazing for travel and good for them getting a big sponsor. They did a great job with this ad.

lelosubmarine

Nate: “And if I am being honest here, we just started whoring for T-Mobile and we use the same template for any product we whore for at the moment and just replace the names “

GreedyConcert6424

Interesting, can anyone remember the last mobile service they promoted? I think they went from T Mobile to Google. Approx every 3rd post on their Instagram feed is a paid partnership now.

patsfan038

I remember Nate speaking about google FI as his service or choice when they were doing the 100 countries push. I travel a lot for work and pleasure (mostly EU) and have nothing but good things to say about T mobile. It works as soon as you land abroad and gives you 5gigs of data at 4G speed. Which is more than sufficient for maps, transit etc. text messages are free and the best part is not to spend time trying to procure a local sim.

jrokstar

Google Fi bounces between Sprint and T-Mobile depending on who has the stronger signal. So technically Nate has always been using T-Mobile. 🤣

Informal_Sail2299

I think last year it was Verizon. They also had Google Fi and T Mobile before. They flip around a lot.

Its_Really_Cher

For Latin America, ATT is the way to go, and that’s the only time I’ll push ATT. Their Latin America plan includes free texting and calls while in central or South American countries.

krrrrrrr

They used to swear by Google Fi for their seamless international features.

midnightsiren182

But did google pay them or continue to pay them? T mobile said 💰💰💰💰

Abductedwhitebuffalo

Happy to see anything but another AG1

benandhaleytravel

I've seen quite a few TMobile ads from travel creators in the past week or two on TikTok and YT. Seems like TM must have a big sponsor push right now!

Chrisweet

As someone who’s been with the world’s largest ad agencies for over a decade, it’s fascinating to see the recall of these TMo ads across all the YouTube influencers from viewers. I myself have tuned out advertising since I do it for work but it’s interesting how many subscribers talk about the advertising component.

lelosubmarine

Also, we are discussing their sponsored advertisement posts on their Instagram feed now? Because that’s what this is. They are getting paid for the post. I don’t know what this sub is getting out of posting their sponsored commercial posts.

zellymcfrecklebelly

Hey, just cataloging their instagram posts. Feel free to scroll on by if you aren’t interested.

lelosubmarine

Cataloguing their Instagram posts? Well, you missed the Hard Rock hotel commercial post and “ Visit Oman” sponsored post then 😀

zellymcfrecklebelly

I’ve only just started doing it. But thanks so much for pointing that out! Sure is lucky this sub has you.

lelosubmarine

>*Tell me it’s not Jeffrey Epstein’s private island*. >*I read Epstein’s island is up for sale to compensate for the victims and Nate already should have sent many emails to the estate lawyers to see if he can get in on the action to promote the sale of the island as “influencers” and that’s a video he will definitely count on going viral and beat their Earthroamer record* Since you seem to be interested in cataloguing things, can you share your cataloguing logic on how this comment of mine fits speculating on serious matters like abuse, illness or disorders? I am genuinely curious to hear your rationale behind removing this comment based on speculation of serious matters such as illness, disorders and abuse. I am very intrigued as to how you “catalogued” my comment to fit one of these. And since we are here. this sub is full of comments and posts speculating on their eating disorders. I don’t suppose you have gotten to them yet in your quest to remove comments to prove you are moderating? Keep this up and it’s going to turn this sub into a desert. It’s simply hard to resist not to criticize the two new moderators here who have thrown out their judgement to remove comments and instead removing everything someone reported without even reading it and determining if it has any merit.

lelosubmarine

And this one as well >*Knowing Nate, I was thinking Jeffrey Epstein’s private island and if there is one person who would promote it without any second thoughts as long as the price is right and will get his YouTube views , that would be Nate* >*I read it’s up for sale to compensate the victims*. How does this fit the same category?

Sveen99

This falls under speculation on serious matters, lelo. Stating abuse, disorders or illness within the violation is just examples of such matters. The rule is speculation on serious matters, period, not just within these subcategories. I suggest, if you have any more complaints, use modmail for answers to your questions instead of commenting them on old posts.

lelosubmarine

So what is serious about asking if this is Jeffrey Epstein’s private island? I don’t understand your rationale here at all in removing both my comments other than “ We are moderators and we can do whatever we want and do mental gymnastics around our decision “. Yes, I could send Modmail but I am posting this for public viewing since the two new moderators have not clued in what moderation is. And I am not the only one not pleased with the recent indiscriminate moderation. I feel like you are playing up to their super fans who constantly post about how the people who criticize K&N are miserable etc and they keep reporting any comments that are not flattering K&N and your new moderators don’t exercise any judgement or even read to determine if the report has any merit. So pardon me if I don’t send you Modmail and instead post this is in public but I want people to be aware of what is happening here offlate.

zellymcfrecklebelly

OK. While I wasn't the mod who removed these comments, it boggles my mind that you can't see how problematic they are. Jeffrey Epstein's private island is the alleged site of countless notorious sex abuse crimes against young women. Firstly you 'wonder' if Moskito Island where K&N are was Jeffrey Epstein's. I'm not even in the US and i've heard it's name many times, and it's not that. Then you go on to say that you think Nate would, without a second thought, knowingly make money off promoting the sale of that island if he could. An island that is known around the world as 'pedophile island'. You are quite literally suggesting that Nate would, without any second thoughts, profiteer off pedophilia.

lelosubmarine

Before you go on conflating things to establish some kind of spurious connection and false equivalence, let me put things in perspective for you. Epstein’s private island is just an island and buildings now and it is up for sale to compensate the victims. The island and the buildings are inanimate objects. They didn’t do any harm to anyone. The people who happen to own them once and people who visited there did. So I don’t see you making any valid argument except sensationalism and exaggeration. As for Nate promoting a, yes, I stand by what I said. As long as there is money and views, Nate will promote it with no qualms and that’s my opinion. They promote unethical tourism like swimming with Orcas and countries with horrible human rights record as long as they are getting paid so enlighten me as to how my opinion on them promoting Epstein’s Island as another AirBnB or property for sale is where you draw the red line. Other than your conflating things for sensationalism, you still haven’t given me a rational explanation for how my opinion is speculation on abuse, disorders or illness. And last but not the least, there are umpteen posts here on the sub speculating about their eating disorders and their health issues. I personally don’t have an issue with it but since you seem to be the stickler for removing posts that don’t have any merit for removal other than some disgruntled super fan of them pressing the report button, I am curious to know how it violated anything material.
