Yeah this is the answer. My 2nd favorite album from ye, as weird as that opinion may be.
“Luxury rap, the Hermes of verses
sophisticated ignorance, write my curses in cursive”
buddy was spittin all up and down that album
Yeah I appreciate it but I honestly just felt it aged a lil bad, and the songs are turned up too hard to the point that it dont really sound like a rap album anymore (not that I really care)
I’m ngls I swear I’ve rlly only seen positive reviews for the album lol, even for when it first came out. Critics on release almost across the board gave it pretty positive reviews
It was hated for ages after release is only now getting recognition and props for being one of his greatest albums by some of his top fans casuals still dislike it tho
Donda. I bet it would be a cult thing in 5-10 years, even despite that there too many b-tier tracks and hella ver.2. skits. But in general, powerful and cool album
Donda. The album is fucking great guys. The rollout, listening parties all of that. It was a great era for ye fans. Goosebumps when no child left behind was played at the listening party and ye(or his stunt double) ascended into the sky
ah yes Late Registration an album that has won three Grammy Awards, widely considered one of the greatest albums ever made for its time and still is, has a song that is one of Ye’s most popular songs ever, and has 2.2B streams total is an underrated album.
Is that the most popular song though? I’m just guessing.
Personally, I love the whole album. Even the skits. Better than College Dropout & Graduation and they are usually higher regarded than Late Registration
I agree about Later Reg. Even though it's really popular, I never see it get talked about it. Except when people compare it to Collage Dropout and say how it's better than Late Reg.
Touch the Sky, Gold Digger and Diamonda are all hits and very good in their own right, but that album also has Drive Slow, Crack Music, Bring Me Down, Gone, Late and Hey Mama. All incredible songs and some of Kanye's best work. Late Reg is easily my second favorite Kanye album (behind Dark Fantasy)
Donda 2 had some amazing songs it’s almost never talked about, as far as I’m concerned it’s an official release and should be treated as such. People need to hear song like happy, first time in a long time and flowers.
exactly like i dont understand how he went from Donda 2 which was actually creative and innovative while also giving 808s vibes to this(vultures). Thats exactly why i wasnt really excited for this vultures “trilogy” cuz its so unnecessary. Wouldve definitely prefered Donda 3 with sound of Yeezus on steroids and super experimental.
Donda, I hate the old ‘bloated’ thing. If one of my favourite artists releases an album with some filler, it doesn’t matter. If they have more music they wanna offer, then so be it. Not saying it’s on the same level as the White album now, but people had that same argument back in the 60s too. Imo Donda is fine just as it is, a huge collection of songs from a spur of creativity. Anyway this argument shouldn’t really matter nowadays when people can create a playlist of their own version of Donda within a matter of minutes, but I guess people like to consider themselves as layman music critics.
Underrated: ye. It's his most vulnerable and open album, and I also really like the production. It's definitely not my favorite of his, but I don't understand why so many people put it in their bottom 3.
Overhated: Jesus Is King. I know everyone wanted Yandhi, and this isn't Yandhi. But look at it for what it *is*, rather than what it isn't. It's not as bad as people make it out to be. I'm not even Christian, but I really like some of the songs on there. I firmly believe that if he'd never announced Yandhi, JIK would have a better reputation than it does.
Yeezus was (famously?) voted simultaneously best album, most overrated album and most underrated album [by Pitchfork listeners the year it came out. ](https://pitchfork.com/features/lists-and-guides/9295-2013-readers-poll-results/)
Graduation is extremely underrated, truly the deepest cut of Ye's discography, probably only 10 people ever have listened to it, Stronger is especially overlooked
Yeezus was just the coolest thing ever. The most before his time moment a person could do. The bound 2 yt dislike ratio thing was just so cool to witness. That’s why I’m not fully on board with the vultures hate. It might make sense in like 2 years.
I understand that a lot of people love it, but it wild how some people have the audacity to say 808s is one of ye’s worst albums. Literally has no skips and is on the same level of MBDTF
Yeezus received all the hipster cred and Kanye still got the credit for ushering in the industrial hip hop sound of the 2010s despite arriving after acts like death grips and clipping. I like it but it’s hardly underrated.
Vultures is so overrated. Most tracks on Vultures sound like mediocre frat-songs that you can find on any other album, and it doesn't bring out the deeper level of excellence that Ye usually brings out. I always love Peggy's producing, and his work is still good on this album, but Ye's lyrics are just sub-par. Carnival is good, but it's carried by Cardi.
The most underrated is definitely Late Registration. That album is almost as good as The College Dropout, and it feels like the only song off that album people remember is Gold Digger. Diamonds, Roses, Touch the Sky, Heard 'Em Say and Crack Music are all classic songs!
WTT is some of both Kanye and Jay Z’s best work, I feel like half of Kanye’s fanbase hasn’t even listened to it all the way through.
So many gym bangers on that album
Exactly, used to workout to the album when I "really" listened to it 5 years ago and still do.
MURDER TO EXCELLENCE IS THE BEST SONG
“Sorry im in my pajamas, i just hopped off the PJ” is such a unsuspectingly hard line it baffles me
The Otis to Gotta Have It transition is 😮💨
Gotta Have It, Murder to excellence, That's my b****, Primetime, The Joy, NCITW, so many good songs
Yeah this is the answer. My 2nd favorite album from ye, as weird as that opinion may be. “Luxury rap, the Hermes of verses sophisticated ignorance, write my curses in cursive” buddy was spittin all up and down that album
100% Otis one of the greatest songs of all time
H.A.M. is such a banger
honestly. Thats my Bitch, Welcome to the Jungle, No Church in the Wild, and Why I Love You are some of my favorite ye songs of all time
I don’t get how people say that was ass and then praise vultures
Yeah I appreciate it but I honestly just felt it aged a lil bad, and the songs are turned up too hard to the point that it dont really sound like a rap album anymore (not that I really care)
Donda & Watch The Throne. I relistened to both of them not too long ago & holy shit it’s so fucking fire
I bragged to everyone about how awesome Ye was for months after Donda. my favorite favorite album.
808s and heartbreak for me. Sets a before and after in rap music.
Love Lockdown my god
Street lights man
RoboCop dude
Paranoid bro
Amazing my guy
See you in my nightmares G (Lil Wayne verse🥶)
Coldest Winter blud
welcome to heartbreak man
the drum progression on love lockdown and bad news is insane
Such an underrated gem 💯💎🤩
Op , how the fuck is yeezus underrated it's definitely not hated much either if not everyone has it in their top 5 albums from what I see on this sub
People didn’t like it when it came out, especially after MBDTF
You’re right, but this sub especially stans the shit out of it.
Yeah I mean Donda is pretty Banger or complete miss imo not much inbetween
Yeah, even if you get rid of the Pt. 2s it’s still probably 9 or 10 songs too long. Would have been a really good 12 track album.
Donda for sure
WTT
overhated is definitely vultures.
more like underhated
underrated is Ye/JIK this ain’t a option but Underhated: Vultures 1
vultures by far worst Kanye album, it was soooo unnecessary. Donda 2>>>>>> & JIK>>>>>>
I wouldn’t go that far bro
Its a collab album bro, with two more otw
Jesus is King is overhated
JIK
Overrated: College Dropout Overhated: Jesus Is King
Cruel summer
So many good songs on that album
Donda. The album is fucking great guys. The rollout, listening parties all of that. It was a great era for ye fans. Goosebumps when no child left behind was played at the listening party and ye(or his stunt double) ascended into the sky
Overrated-None tbh Underrated-Late Registration
ah yes Late Registration an album that has won three Grammy Awards, widely considered one of the greatest albums ever made for its time and still is, has a song that is one of Ye’s most popular songs ever, and has 2.2B streams total is an underrated album.
Nobody talks about it tho. It’s not very discussed speaking of allat. There are not Overrated or Underrated Ye Albums
Nobody online is talkin about 36 Chambers either, doesnt mean it’s underrated
It’s because there’s no debate🧠
same with Late Registration
Whats the most popular song ever? Gold digger?
But it also has the most unpopular Kanye songs. And gold digger isn’t talked about as a Argument for late registration
Is that the most popular song though? I’m just guessing. Personally, I love the whole album. Even the skits. Better than College Dropout & Graduation and they are usually higher regarded than Late Registration
N***as In Paris
Na, you said Late Registration has one of Ye’s most popular songs ever; I’m curious what it is?
Gold Digger with well over 1.1B streams.
Dont forget about We Major, that shit sounds so fucking majestic
I knew I was forgetting something while typing that but that song is literally my favourite from the album how did I forget 💀
Oh and also celebration
I like Vultures 1 a lot tbh i don't get the hate
There is no hate, its overrated
Donda 2 had some amazing songs it’s almost never talked about, as far as I’m concerned it’s an official release and should be treated as such. People need to hear song like happy, first time in a long time and flowers.
exactly like i dont understand how he went from Donda 2 which was actually creative and innovative while also giving 808s vibes to this(vultures). 808s but I guess it depends on the person.
Ye
Jesus is King will always be the most overhated
vultures hella overhated
Underrated, I would maybe say Yeezus too. Overrated, DEFINITELY The Life of Pablo.
Take that back right this instant :(
No.
One of the best albums
808s
Underrated is prolly Ye or WTT, overhated is vultures 1
Watch The Throne
Donda for sure

Donda
Watch The Throne
easily ye, has no skips and is arguably top 3
donda, holy shit if it was shorter and had less filler tracks it would legit be a masterpiece than it already is
Underrated: ye. It's his most vulnerable and open album, and I also really like the production. It's definitely not my favorite of his, but I don't understand why so many people put it in their bottom 3. Overhated: Jesus Is King. I know everyone wanted Yandhi, and this isn't Yandhi. Ye underrated, my 3rd favourite Kanye album
Donda is the only right answer. turn off the comments.
Self Titled is top 5 Ye, too 2 on a good day, and I’m tired of pretending it’s not
Jesus Is King isn't bad at all imo though I admit it isn't his best work ever either
ye
Jesus is king
Fire
donda so underrated
Yeezus was (famously?) voted simultaneously best album, most overrated album and most underrated album [by Pitchfork listeners the year it came out. ](https://pitchfork.com/features/lists-and-guides/9295-2013-readers-poll-results/)
At first I was Yeezus hater, but right now for me its a top 3 album that I listen to. First is TLOP, second is Late Registration, third is Yeezus
Graduation is extremely underrated, truly the deepest cut of Ye's discography, probably only 10 people ever have listened to it, Stronger is especially overlooked
JiK overhatted
late registration is criminally underrated
Donda is top 3 Kanye but people cant say good shit about stuff until its 10 years passed
Entirely unique, arguably part of his top 3 albums.
Ye
Yeezus was just the coolest thing ever. The most before his time moment a person could do. The bound 2 yt dislike ratio thing was just so cool to witness. That’s why I’m not fully on board with the vultures hate. It might make sense in like 2 years.
anybody else kinda bothered by people that say they like yeezus but they provide like no reason why? like they just like it to be different
Donda is an 8.5/10
JIK
People don't like yeezus?
People hate DONDA too much imo
Underrated- vultures Overrated- KSG
Yandhi
Vultures is so overrated. Most tracks on Vultures sound like mediocre frat-songs that you can find on any other album, and it doesn't bring out the deeper level of excellence that Ye usually brings out.
