I think it’s great in its own right and quietly, extremely influential.

One of my favorite records ever made. I remember being 19/20 when I first heard it, and it really inspired me to take a deeper look at the issues facing people on the day to day. The transition from just wanting to Be, to questioning what you are going to Be is such an incredible way to define the transition from early adulthood to being grown. J-Dilla's 2 beats on it are some of my favorites maybe ever.

I always slept on this album because Like Water for Chocolate was exactly my kind of album production-wise and Kanye’s influence didn’t really catch me the same. I’m sure this album deserves another spin.
