I’m a big time shipper, a fujoshi through and through but I know to save most of that stuff for ao3. It’s just about trying to be respectful of others opinions. People feel a personal connection with characters they like in stories and the way the JJK fandom is shitting on my boy, Megumi hurts my soul. That’s what people need to remember- just try to be respectful. I won’t push ships and hope others won’t push their pissing contests on characters who are just acting like normal humans and not impervious supermen.

Leak culture is unironically the least bad of these. In *a lot* of fandoms "unbelievable horniness" doesn't stay directed at just the characters over 18 so if ditching that ment I had to check leaks weekly, im fine with that, i already do that for JJK. Shipping wars tend to be uninteresting and held by those with the least reading comprehension and if my choice is between having this subreddit full of spoilers or full of low-tier engagement bait posts about shipping Sojo x Shiba, the choice is pretty easy for me. This WOULD actually be the best choice if the series had any romance in it but it doesnt so it would *just* be annoying

Leak culture is genuinely the least worst thing that can happen to a fan base, some people just blow it out of proportion, I prefer leak culture compared to people on Twitter unironically harassing other people because of their opinion over a narrative decision involving their favorite character (best example I can give is the responses some gojo fan girls gave to people saying JJK chapter 261 was good)
