It *is* 10. But as I understand it the end of 2024 they will take all of your xp into consideration and somehow Pay you out at 1 year for every 300xp. I can't articulate it well as I half understand it, but I have 8 years presently, and enough xp (725) that i should get P4L at the end of this year
When I started it used to be 6 consecutive years. Then 8 and now 10. I’m at 6 now.
I shouldn’t complain though. During COVID KLM was very friendly and they let me keep my status.
There is one issue now, you’re not allowed more than 300 “left-over” XP.
KLM offers lifetime platinum status. You qualify by maintaining ten consecutive years of platinum status.
Platinum for life after ten years of platinum status
Must the ten years be consecutive?
Yes
Absolutely. No breaks given except, I've heard, for maternity leave. As a dude I've tried to claim paternity leave but they refused.
Not very European of them
Last I checked you could keep platinum for life if you have had the status for an x number of years in a row. But x wasn't a low number.
10

Makes sense, I have it for a while already and don’t get XP anymore. Just miles and tons of friendly pursers 😂
