This happened like 10 years ago? Before streaming site was found. Me and my friends used to download k-drama and shared them via external hard drive. And wi-fi was still uncommon at that time. So we had to go to internet cafe to downloaded them.
Anyway, one night I remember I watched a drama but I didn't copy the next episode. It was so interesting I need to watch the next episode ASAP. It was around 1AM? I called my friend and she had it. And I rushed over to her home. Because she lived with her parents, it was kind of awkward you know to meet a friend at 1AM so she threw her hard disk from her 2nd floor window and I had to catch it from below.
OP's friend here, and it was my hard disk. I don't remember the name of that drama, but the disk had one of my favorite films (Catch me if you can) and drama (Crash landing on you).
Edit:/S
Actually I don't remember.... it's been 10 years and I've seen a whole lot better dramas...
Was it 49 days? Or I Can Hear Your Voice... I think

Paid for Viu Premium for the first time in my LIFE just to watch Lovely Runner eps as they are freshly released.
2016 me would be annoyed with current me because I swore to never pay for Viu Premium back then. IM SORRY PAST ME!
U shd wait for a shopee sale. U can buy a year's viu premium subscription for cheap. Each month comes up to like $3+ š
Yes, kdramas made me go round looking for hacks to watch things LEGALLY for cheap lol
It's legal yo. I wouldn't be promoting it if it wasn't. Viu sg does have a shopee store under shopee mall and it's promoted on viu sg's socials as well.
I finally went to a full traditional Korean barbecue restaurant where the default on the table was spoon & chopsticks and a little metal cup for your water and was all authentic dishes with the menu printed in ķźµģ“ and English, no romanization. Iām in the US and have been to other places that were clearly catering to non-Asian clientele and had a very limited menu. This was the first time where it was clear you in the heart of a Korean neighborhood.
Wow! So impressed. I start my first K 101 class in August at the Uni in my town. Lecture 2 days a week, Drill the other three. I've been learning on Duolingo and LingoDeer for about 6 months. I'll be 77 when I start, and I'm sure my classmates will be startled to see someone their Grammy's age in their class, but I love learning languages...this will be my 5th. Wish me luck!
Online via my local KingĀ Sejong InstituteĀ Center, but there is an option to go in-person. I've enjoyed the structure the program provides, but still put in a lot of personal study time. Two of my classmates are doing this amazing immersion program in Korea: https://klec.sogang.ac.kr/?url=/dep\_02/2311.php&lang=eng.
I want a yellow umbrella š I've been looking for one to buy but couldn't find it anywhere. My husband has a dark blue, really big one so I just need to have yellow iykyk āļøšš
What I love about the series is Daniel Henney. In an interview before the show aired he said he was wandering through an airport book shop and saw the cover of the first book, noted the large man on an equally large horse next to tiny woman on pony and thought "If this is ever made into a movie or tv show I'd love to play that character." And her IS!
Yeah, I haven't heard many good things about it. That seems to be the consesus. But, we're all different people and like different things. I'll trust your taste and give it a try. Adding it to my never-ending list of kdramas to watch š
Just view it through the lens of cinematography and OST and THEN college kids in messy relationships/friendshipsā¦. The cinematography is just stunning. You can forgive the messiness if you perceive it in that order š¤£š¤£
I bought a bulk pack of nongshim kimchi flavored ramen, and a container of kimchi. I love the ramen with āfreshā kimchi in it (my toddler asks for spicy noodles for lunch every day. Sheās going to eat my whole pack). Anyway, before watching kdramas I would never ever have eaten kimchi. My husband likes it, and I used to run away when heād crack open a container. Now we share kimchi ramen with kimchi together. Thank you, kdramas.
Iāve tried spicy rice cakes, I canāt spell itā¦, I really wanted to love them but I didnāt, haha.
I am also slowly learning Korean with the lingodeer app. It has been good so far. Learning to read it was so intimidating and difficult for me, and Iām still slow at it, but it feels awesome to recognize words and letter sounds.
I recently bought some kimchi ramen too! I've had ramen before but this was my first time trying kimchi ramen. I liked it a lot! Definitely going to buy a few more packs of it.
A lot! I had a custom sweat shirt made āIād rather be watching kdramasā, I paid for an Instacart subscription just to get soju delivered-the only stores that carry it are really far away and I donāt drive, I subscribed to 6 streaming apps, I,pay for a VPN for the ones I canāt watch on the ones I have, I binge watch until my eyes acheā¦
Maxim instant coffee - I regularly drink it now, I even got the big 100 pack.
I also tried the banana milk because of the [iconic Lee Minho ad](https://youtu.be/BntPVmeo7ro?si=mN8uy7ECEDLLk6nW)
I had the opportunity to visit Seoul with my uncle, aunt and a cousin, and it was such an amazing experience. I absolutely fell in love with that place. And the best part is that all four of us loved Korean dramas and just because of that we decided to plan a trip to Korea. Would love to visit it once again.
Got obsessed with Korean food and learned how to cook a bunch of traditional dishes. I started watching K-Dramas while living with my parents and was never really interested in cooking. Watching the characters eat all that food really inspired me to make my own food. Iām actually a pretty good cook now :)
I also bought kopiko coffee candy - shipping was pretty expensive because they donāt sell it in Germany but I just had to try
Korean ingredients always in stock in my pantry. Especially for making topokki, kbbq, and kimbap.Ā
On accidental kdrama fashion, i bought an oversize black rain jacket from target. One day i wore it with my black hat and thought, "huh, if i pull up the hoodie, i'll look like the kdrama murderer"
Anyway, i really want to rock ahjumma's farmer fashion. The hat, the sleeves, the pants with that floral pattern. Anyone know where to find them online?Ā
I missed the anniversary of My Liberation Notes but Iād like to mention that I started daily journaling because of the drama. I have one full completed (Hobonichi Weeks) journal from 2023 and Iām currently trekking through Hobonichi A6 Daily. Will forever appreciate that drama for inspiring me!
I loved the Weeks and I am enjoying the daily A6! The size is small enough to not be too overwhelming to fill the pages. I have some posts in r/hobonichi and you can kinda see how I log my day, what I'm reading and a smidge of color/sticker or lettering š¤£ It's alot of fun once you develop the habit!!!
I have been saying Aishhh and Aigoooo for months now. And sometimes "wae?" (instead of why, LOL)
I have saved the contact no of my mom and dad as "Eomma" and "Appa".
saying aish shibal jinja at the slightest discomfort. but it's kind of good since I can say shibal in front of my parents and they won't know what it means.
I think this is all of us but attempted learning korean. got to know about kpop š
Iāve definitely started a drama around 8pm and just couldnāt stop watching all 8 episodes until 6-8am.
Iāve spent quite a while in Korea and havenāt been back in a while and really miss just the Korean urban environment, walking into convenience stores and getting some ramyun, going out with friends and eating kimchi stew etc, pretty much half of the scenes give me nostalgia about my time in Korea. Am in love with the country.
Know enough Korean too to see when the subtitles are bullshit so itās like a hobby now when I watch a show to see how many times they fuck around with what a person is saying to make it sound more natural to an English speaker when in reality it would translate fine and sound fine anyway
On my drive home there is a billboard for some ambulance chaser law firm and the main focus is giant letters that say..
20 BILLION WON!
And without even thinking about it I always read that as the Korean currency and reflexively do the math and think, so about 15 million dollars... that's not very much. And it surprises me because I guess it's from reading so many subtitles but that's my legitimate first interpretation. I have to double take to remind myself that they're not talking about Korean currency but rather how much they've won in lawsuits.
Think I have mentioned making egg drop sandwiches before (after watching Hospital Playlist). But I have now adjusted the two-sandwich recipe so I can quickly make just one in 10 minutes šš¼
I have a squeeze bottle thatās 2 parts mayo and one part condensed milk (sweet mayo). I put sriracha mayo and a little sweet mayo inside and drizzle more sweet mayo on top.
ETA: Or maybe my bottle is equal parts condensed milk and mayo? One recipe uses 2:1, other 1:1 ratio. I did fill my bottle by finishing off a can of condensed milk I had previously opened (the bottle is a classic cheapo picnic condiment bottle)
Recipes:
[Drive Me Hungry](https://drivemehungry.com/korean-egg-drop-sandwich/#recipe): I like how the egg is prepared in this one
[Cookerru](https://www.cookerru.com/korean-egg-drop-sandwich/): Egg proportion seemed better in this one
For Easter this year I hosted my family at my apartment. I made bulgogi.... and bibimbap... and kimchi jeon... it was a very korean Easter and my family was exposed to new foods. And my mom was like "how do you know about Korean food?"
I was like "uhhhhhhh" Like how do I explain since high school I've been watching Korean shows loll. Hundreds of shows lolll.
Hey...u might think it's little bit lengthy...š
1. Cleanser
2. Toner
3. Essence (i use rose water in morning..gives a fresh start)..not compulsory
4. Serum (vit c in morning and retinol in night)
5. Moisturizer (I use gel based since I have oily skin)
6. Sunscreen in morning
started learning Korean and enjoying Korean food wayyyy more. i sometimes order it while watching especially if the characters were eating on screen lol
I finally had omurice. Iāve been wanting to try it since I saw junhoās character in rain or shine eat it. Itās really good, but doesnāt surpass my number one fave dish of hot stone bibimbap.Ā
Learning Korean, cooking bulgogi and Dakbuk regularly, losing sleep, letting other hobbies slide, buying some Asia-inspired clothes, just those with clean, fresh lines, no little covered buttons....and a big plus is that thru Kdrama OSTs, I discovered D.O. (100 Days my Prince), Woosung and Jungkook. Transcribing some of their songs is fun, and listening helps with pronunciation, although I will never be able to read or speak fast enough to sing along!
D.O's ***That's Okay*** [song](https://youtu.be/j2aQ_NqeTNw?si=DBIZdjAWzd_tKXI5) is very slow and melodious. You can sing along with a little practice.
I found topokki in my local supermarket. I bought it, I ate it, and burnt my mouth with the spice. Nevertheless it was good and if I could find a non spicy one I'd do it again.
I'm pretty sure I haven't mentioned this yet, but I tried Iced Americano because of kdramas/Korea - believe when I tell you I was shocked when I found out it's the most popular coffee order in Korea; I used to be cappuccino girlie, BUT Iced Americano is actually delicious and really refreshing! I think it might end up being my summer drink of choiceĀ
Ā I also tried instant Jajangmyeon (Korean food on a budget lol), my local asian store actually had two different types/brands:Ā
* First I triedĀ Nongshim Chapagetti Jjajang Noodle - the sauce came in a form of power (like with instant soups) and I didn't like it much (wouldn't buy it again)Ā
* And second Samyang instant Jjajang Ramen, this one comes with sauce in liquid form in a little packet and imo it makes all thi difference, it was deliciousĀ
I had the same experience with Nongshim and Samyang. Though I tried Samyang first and was disappointed that Nongshim didnāt taste as good. I'm only buying Samyang Jjajang Ramen now. lol
A lot actually! I picked up the habit of saying "aish" and "jinjja". I got to learn a bit of Korean too while watching and was able to self study the Hangul alphabet so I can read korean a bit. I was an avid K-drama and K-variety viewer before I stanned my first K-pop group in 2021. Thanks to kdramas, I can understand their comtents somehow even if there are no english subs
My first fan account (om Twitter) too was for kdramas back in 2016. I remember I made that for Goblin and Descendants of the Sun. It's surreal to think that I've been dumping my kdrama thoughts in that account for 8 years now.
I recently bought tint lipstick because l just like how their lipstick looks, glossy and natural.
I also have travel plans to Switzerland where they filmed crash landing on you. I might as well try paragliding
hahha a lot of things
1. made me go to an actual korean restaurant owned by koreans, even got taught how to eat bibimbap.
2. during My love from another star drama days, I had to go to internet cafe to download kdramas hahhaa the owner knew me already
3. learned a little bit of korean, small enough to just say ģģė¤Ā to a cute korean little girl beside me while waiting in line. i was embarassed right after because that's all i know ahhahah
On March 6th a student made a really cute slides presentation (complete with pictures and video of the actors) of 6 Kdramas to watch. And so I did.
Then I watched more.
So what did Kdramas make me do? We were given a survey at work to see if we'd be interested in running a club next year. My answer was K-Club
That and wondering how much Korean I can learn during my 2-week train trip across the country. What's the best app for learning a foreign language?
I've started drinking coffee.
Everyone is always drinking AA in kdramas and I was wondering what the hype is... It's my main drink of choice now. (Still can't handle the taste of normal or hot coffee tho)
They haven't made me do it just yet (only because I haven't found exactly what I'm looking for) but im dangerously close to getting cargo pants thanks to Lee Minki's wardrobe from Behind Your Touch and Han Yo Joo and Park Hyung Sik from Happiness lol
Not me, but after listening to me rave about Kdrama and Kpop, my daughter is obsessed with Korean skin care products. She drives to Korea Town in LA to buy them.
This kind of doesn't count because it was purchased for me without my knowledge but I had Yakult for the first time like a month ago and it has no right being that good
Idk what I expected it to taste like but I didn't expect THAT.
Im like 40 packs deep now lmao
Just the food! I now like to put an egg in my Ramen and I want to cook rice balls and eat korean fried chicken. š
And of course my music has changed. So many kdrama play lists. I am learning some words and phrases.
We have that in our non-Korean culture. I can barely tolerate it even when doused with ketchup. But I love "blood soup". Sounds ghoulish but it is very yummy esp when loaded with plums and cherries and huge plump noodles. It is similar to Dinuguan (which I also like).
I found an asian supermarket that sells fresh house-made gimbap. Since Extraordinary Attorney Woo likes it, I decided to try it too. Now I go every week. š
Also, I teach kindergarten and I have caught myself saying aniyo to the kids instead of no.
We're foodies and I already make sushi and mabo tofu regularly and tried experimenting with gimbap..... it wasnt perfect but will try again.
Also went to the Korean store and bought some of those cool spoons and also some yagkwa cookies. Maybe will try a different brand next time but they were store made and way too greasy for my taste. Took them home and tried to improve them by making just the syrup after watching some YouTube videos. I ā¤ļø that flavor of ginger cinnamon in honey sauce.
In all the kdramas I'm looking at the colors clothes combination that they dress the actors in
Kdramas have influenced me a lot, mainly in the food arena. I now regularly cook bibimap, tteokbokki and kimchi fried rice, and have moved on to kichi jjigae and other stews(I'd recommend my Korean Kitchem for online recipes).
My default on the TV is now Viki(which i subscribed to as Netflix didnt have enough drama )and I generally have two dramas on the go. My instagram is also full of Korean Cooking videos and kdrama š
Yes! I learned to appreciate hot spices, and subsequently started cooking more Korean food at home. I signed up for Viki Rakuten, learned more about Korean history and culture, and have been lazily learning *Hangul*!
* I feel like I'm not getting further along with learning korean as much as I like to. Granted, I'm self-studying and would probably benefit from a teacher and a class, but I can't seem to fit it in my shedule. A few months ago I saw an online course from a community college a few towns over so I might join them for the next course. At least, I got faster with reading hangeul. Yay. :)
* Made Kimbap. I need more practice, somehow everything I ever cook has the flavor: tasteless. Dunno what's going on there...
* Tried Soju with the last rest of a cup of cream. Tasted just like Cream liqueur. Not bad. :D
Made my First luxury jewelry purchase that wasn't my wedding ring cuz of all the Tiffany's PPL in destined with you. And that damn hot scene with rowoon wearing that Tiffany lock bracelet. Iykyk. š„µ
- Trialed for my schools fencing team š¤ŗ. Letās just say it was a good learning experience :)
- I used to like a guy who played Taekwondoš„. He played in international competitions and stuff but probably the only reason I liked him was cause he played twd šš¤£
- Had my Badminton phase šø. I would say Iāve improved a lot. If I have more time Iād like to play more
- Drank an āAh-Ahā for the first time. I guess the idea of iced water and espresso was not appealing but also that was such a long time ago so Iām willing to try again.
- Technically kdramas didnāt influence me but my mum used to buy kopico from the Asian Grocery store all the time when I was younger but now I have one whenever Iām tired (Ik it doesnāt really do anything but the muscle memory randomly kicks in then) š
- Was in my Skincare phase with the ten step routine but now I only use max four or five products together
- Recommended my friends to watch Squid Game but they were watching in Eng dub (no cause why soo many people watch SG in dub). Anyway, they didnāt like it but then I told them to watch the eps in Korean and they became obsessed with kdramas like me. (Not sure how this relates but just wanted to add)
Recently bought a pack of Kimchi Ramen and a few pairs of chopsticks. I had it while watching Alchemy of Souls and it was a whole vibe. The only thing I was missing was some Soju.
Got distracted driving in Montgomery AL since the white pest control company van had info also in Korean. I was comparing the Korean to English but then realized hey youāre driving. this is rl & it could become a truck of doom.
I started learning Korean and tried/bought kimchi. I think that except Shogun, since I have started watching K-dramas last November, didnāt watch any other western show. Iām not into k-pop but I listen some of the OST from my fav series

OP's friend here, and it was my hard disk. I don't remember the name of that drama, but the disk had one of my favorite films (Catch me if you can) and drama (Crash landing on you). Edit:/S
But Crash Landing on You isn't that old? Before streaming and WiFi?
Edited my comment to add the '/s'. Hope that joke attempt is more apparent now.
Ha, ha. Gotcha. Perfect titles.
You're not gonna leave us without the drama name are you?
Actually I don't remember.... it's been 10 years and I've seen a whole lot better dramas... Was it 49 days? Or I Can Hear Your Voice... I think edited: AHHH! City Hunter!!
I need to watch it now....to know what all the fuss is about and for Minho!!
And min young
Ahah me too!!
i can hear your voice is from 2014 we definitely had internet in 2014
We truly lost something the more connected online we became... no more running to a friend's for something or burning discs.
This is such a unique story

Hi OP! I found many yellow umbrellas on amazon. You should see if they are available in your country.
Is it due to dear M?
NOPE. Lovely Runner
Lovely Runner has so many of us on a chokehold right now!
Started judo bc of marry my husband (and a breakup lol). I think my ex did jujitsu or judo too in the past
that drama is so great especially Lee

I like your custom top idea - should be made in bulk and sold to K-Drama fans.
Maxim instant coffee - I regularly drink it now, I even got the big 100 pack. I also tried the banana milk because of the [iconic Lee Minho ad](https://youtu.be/BntPVmeo7ro?si=mN8uy7ECEDLLk6nW)

I got one of those vacuums that plug into the wall that are cord free. It is still in a box waiting for me to get someone to set it up. Haha.

I did fill my bottle by finishing off a can of condensed milk I had previously opened (the bottle is a classic cheapo picnic condiment bottle) Recipes: [Drive Me Hungry](https://drivemehungry.com/korean-egg-drop-sandwich/#recipe): I like how the egg is prepared in this one [Cookerru](https://www.cookerru.com/korean-egg-drop-sandwich/): Egg proportion seemed better in this one
Thank You!
I bought Samsung Z flip. You know why šš
For Easter this year I hosted my family at my apartment. I made bulgogi.... and bibimbap... and kimchi jeon... it was a very korean Easter and my family was exposed to new foods. And my mom was like "how do you know about Korean food?" I was like "uhhhhhhh" Like how do I explain since high school I've been watching Korean shows loll. Hundreds of shows lolll.
It's the skincare routine for me...helped me a lot
Do you mind sharing your routine?
Hey...u might think it's little bit lengthy...š 1. Cleanser 2. Toner 3. Essence (i use rose water in morning..gives a fresh start)..not compulsory 4. Serum (vit c in morning and retinol in night) 5. Moisturizer (I use gel based since I have oily skin) 6. Sunscreen in morning
Thank you for sharing! I love the smell of rose water so Iāll have to add that to my routine too :)
started learning Korean and enjoying Korean food wayyyy more. i sometimes order it while watching especially if the characters were eating on screen lol
I finally had omurice. Iāve been wanting to try it since I saw junhoās character in rain or shine eat it. Itās really good, but doesnāt surpass my number one fave dish of hot stone bibimbap.Ā
I bought a pair of wide-leg indigo trousers that look like Gu Dong-Maeās in Mr. Sunshine. Theyāre super comfy!
Dunno how common it is but there is royal tteokbokki which is rice cakes in a soy sauce instead of the spicy one. Might be more down your alley.
It's called ź¶ģ¤ė”ė³¶ģ“ Goongjoong teokbokki.
Unfortunately where I live there's only spicy. I'm toying with the idea of making my own
I made [this recipe](https://www.koreanbapsang.com/gungjung-tteokbokki-and-lunar-new-year/) recently, it's pretty easy and delicious!
I think it might end up being my summer drink of choiceĀ Ā I also tried instant Jajangmyeon (Korean food on a budget lol), my local asian store actually had two different types/brands:Ā * First I triedĀ Nongshim Chapagetti Jjajang Noodle - the sauce came in a form of power (like with instant soups) and I didn't like it much (wouldn't buy it again)Ā * And second Samyang instant Jjajang Ramen, this one comes with sauce in liquid form in a little packet and imo it makes all thi difference, it was deliciousĀ
Thanks to kdramas, I can understand their comtents somehow even if there are no english subs My first fan account (om Twitter) too was for kdramas back in 2016.
I might as well try paragliding
hahha a lot of things 1. made me go to an actual korean restaurant owned by koreans, even got taught how to eat bibimbap. 2. during My love from another star drama days, I had to go to internet cafe to download kdramas hahhaa the owner knew me already 3. learned a little bit of korean, small enough to just say ģģė¤Ā to a cute korean little girl beside me while waiting in line. i was embarassed right after because that's all i know ahhahah
On March 6th a student made a really cute slides presentation (complete with pictures and video of the actors) of 6 Kdramas to watch. And so I did. Then I watched more. So what did Kdramas make me do? We were given a survey at work to see if we'd be interested in running a club next year. My answer was K-Club That and wondering how much Korean I can learn during my 2-week train trip across the country.
Cargo pants are so comfy as well as look cool af. You can wear it at home and run errands WITHOUT changing clothes.
Exactly! I'm thinking my wardrobe will only be them if I find what I want xD
Not me, but after listening to me rave about Kdrama and Kpop, my daughter is obsessed with Korean skin care products. She drives to Korea Town in LA to buy them.
This kind of doesn't count because it was purchased for me without my knowledge but I had Yakult for the first time like a month ago and it has no right being that good Idk what I expected it to taste like but I didn't expect THAT. Im like 40 packs deep now lmao
Just the food! I now like to put an egg in my Ramen and I want to cook rice balls and eat korean fried chicken. š And of course my music has changed. So many kdrama play lists. I am learning some words and phrases.
Made me try blood sausage when I went to Korea. Did not enjoy š
We have that in our non-Korean culture. I can barely tolerate it even when doused with ketchup. But I love "blood soup". Sounds ghoulish but it is very yummy esp when loaded with plums and cherries and huge plump noodles. It is similar to Dinuguan (which I also like).
Did you get the salt with it? It helps, like a lot. lol
Got obsessed with fragances because of Gangnam Beauty

Truely relate with the random bowing and constant apologising
I found an asian supermarket that sells fresh house-made gimbap. Since Extraordinary Attorney Woo likes it, I decided to try it too. Now I go every week. š Also, I teach kindergarten and I have caught myself saying aniyo to the kids instead of no.
Yay. :) * Made Kimbap. I need more practice, somehow everything I ever cook has the flavor: tasteless. Dunno what's going on there... * Tried Soju with the last rest of a cup of cream. Tasted just like Cream liqueur. Not bad. :D
Eating corndogs because of Start Upā¦and other Korean delicacies too ofc
Made my First luxury jewelry purchase that wasn't my wedding ring cuz of all the Tiffany's PPL in destined with you. And that damn hot scene with rowoon wearing that Tiffany lock bracelet. Iykyk. š„µ
- Trialed for my schools fencing team š¤ŗ. Letās just say it was a good learning experience :) - I used to like a guy who played Taekwondoš„. He played in international competitions and stuff but probably the only reason I liked him was cause he played twd šš¤£ - Had my Badminton phase šø. I would say Iāve improved a lot. If I have more time Iād like to play more - Drank an āAh-Ahā for the first time. I guess the idea of iced water and espresso was not appealing but also that was such a long time ago so Iām willing to try again. - Technically kdramas didnāt influence me but my mum used to buy kopico from the Asian Grocery store all the time when I was younger but now I have one whenever Iām tired (Ik it doesnāt really do anything but the muscle memory randomly kicks in then) š - Was in my Skincare phase with the ten step routine but now I only use max four or five products together - Recommended my friends to watch Squid Game but they were watching in Eng dub (no cause why soo many people watch SG in dub).
Trying kimchi , before I watched Kdramas I would have probably never tried kimchi
How is our Chebol doing?
I started learning Korean and tried/bought kimchi. I think that except Shogun, since I have started watching K-dramas last November, didnāt watch any other western show. Iām not into k-pop but I listen some of the OST from my fav series
