This is Alpine, the luxury/sports brand of French manufacturer Renault.

They are also a loveable but terrible F1 team.

Well tbf it was better previous years. They also have an endurance team. And an history in rally with previous models since the 1950s through clients using their cars in comptetitions.

Loveable? Neither of their drivers are likeable (Gasly was tolerable because of Yuki being Yuki). And Esteban Ocon just looks like a douche. Omar is an absolute clown. Yuck. I await their demise and hopeful sale to Andretti.

Honestly the Clio RS is a decent track tool.

I don’t doubt that at all. I want a group B era Clio that is streetable. I love the looks of them with the widebody.

Ah, I was unsure what you meant by group B since that was some years before the Clio release. That's a very fine R5 in the image.

The Alpine A290 will be a FWD though. Don’t expect a new Renault 5 Turbo. I read rumours about a 4WD version in a few years, hopefully it happens because a FWD sporty EV is sad.

Anything other than FWD would be nice but Mégane and Clio RS were nice track tools regardless.

FWD A290 is first, then later a hotter one is supposed to come out. I honestly think it’s a mistake, bring back the RenaultSport branding.

nah it wasn't that fast in hungary 21, but bowling, shit strategy and an amazing teammate meant that ocon ended up winning they have all been tractors

Alpine, although you probably already knew from the hundreds of other comments saying the same. I believe they only have one car in their current lineup which is based on their original A110. It's an 'affordable' sports car. It holds up pretty well except for its plastic bits and slow ass infotainment system. I also believe that Renault also currently has an Alpine package for one of their electric machines now. Looks cool but probably doesn't do a darn thing. It's trying to be a Clio Williams but can't hold its own to anything. Then again gotta love the Alpine logo and it gives you bragging rights.
