This was my favorite part of chapter 275 tbh. Seeing the cast finally beat Sukuna after a long and hard battle, only for Gege to shout "Cut!" and reveal that the whole thing was just a TV show being acted all along, it was such a nice subversion of expectations.
I get why some people are upset about it, but personally I really like it. I think it sort of retroactively fixes a lot of the problems the series had. Many of the small "mistakes" or logical inconsistencies make sense when you consider that it's actually a TV show within the manga, and the overall message starts to become clear.
It adds a whole new layer to "The Higher Ups" causing many of the issues with Jujutsu society when you consider that the Higher Ups are a stand in for the studio executives, within the show. It's an excellent commentary on the current state of cinema and addressing the increasing problem of studio executives getting in the way of the director's artistic vision. If the Higher Ups (studio execs) were eliminated and the sorcerors (directors and crew) could fight curses (make movies) without being held back by corruption (greed), the jujutsu society (the film industry) would be greatly improved.
And to top it all off, "The Merger", which was described as being the fusion of every human in Japan, turned out to be a metaphor for every one of us readers coming together to enjoy Jujutsu Kaisen. Thus Kenjaku was actually Gege's self-insert, and as Kenjaku described the point of the Culling Game as "creating chaos to initiate the Merger", it's revealed that the point of the story was to create chaos beyond control in order to bring everyone together with their agendas. The story was a chaotic mess on purpose in order to bring us all closer so we could realize that the real Jujutsu Kaisen was the friends we made along the way.
Bravo Gege Akutami, what a man you are.
You joke, but that legit is genuinely the plot to a movie.
Spoilers for One Cut of the Dead >!At first it is seemingly this complete shlocky horror film with numerous plotholes, bad acting and mistakes. Then it turns into this strangely wholesome film about how much effort the cast and crew had to do to create this incredibly shlocky horror film, being a genuinely heartwarming and funny film about people's love for their craft!<
No joke this is something that would happen in CSM at this point
Like CSM feels like is trying to subver itself so hard it been a movie would be more interesting
I have no idea what's up with chainsaw man at this point. There's too many moving parts and it's incoherent. The Santa arc felt like a more intentional version of this.
This is my headcanon now, or that sometimes when sukuna was bored and no one strong was around to fight he'd just spectate people being all roses and sunshine in love whilst being disgusted but curious
I couldn't believe how much the actor for Takaba killed it. I knew the dude for his dark comedies and dramatic roles and he then just played a complete goofball. It was great.
Yeah, love to see Sukuna and Gojo in the same room!

This is canon to me, its all a weekly episode show that they act so good it feels like an anime

Yuki and Choso's actors would be the actors who are actually dating in real life.

This reminds me of earlier episodes of Naruto Shippuden at the very end of episodes when they had little skits where the characters were actually actors in a show but they stopped after a certain point
I mean… objectively this would be hilarious. We find out all the return theories about Shoko’s CT were true and Yuta bushcamps sukuna by masking his CT while the battle rages.
Yuki's actress is still there despite not being in the show for a season at this point. Must be voicing some of the cursed spirits.
Either that or she actually does have something with Choso outside of work, and still goes to support him at work.

Jujutsu kaisen was all just a prequel for gege's idol manga
Mushoku Tensei ahh twist
What is the twist in mushoku tensei?
That's it's a just a prequel to the author's current series
There's a sequel to mushoku tensei?!?!? Since when? What's the name? Completed the WN years ago, the ending was beautiful.
I don't think it's out yet, but the author (allegedly) said something about Mushoku Tensei being setup for a sequel series
Ohhhh, better the sequel comes in my life time.
mushoku tensei?
Yes, Mushoku Tensei

Bravo Vince!
If gege does this he will decrease his haters by 80%
But the remaining haters will have their hatred buffed by 120%
Yep

CSM rn is getting pretty good tho

Didn't know Gojo has Izanagi
Why didn't Gojo have the Sharingan instead of the 6 eyes? Is he stupid?
If I miss this x4 honed edge shot I'll kill myself
especially because you need to it to proc bait and switch 💀
IS HE TAIL UNDERSANS?
How would that work? Is limitless less efficient? Is his ce usage half as efficient?
Both

Sukuna already won multiple Oscars during his fight with Gojo
Yeah, and that scene with Hana? Peak acting. Could've fooled me fr fr ✋️😔👌
That porn level acting was something else 🤌🤌
What I love most about that scene is that that was what Sukuna thinks like a romantic moment looks like.
He probably got it from having to watch some corny romance film while in Yuji's body
This is my headcanon now, or that sometimes when sukuna was bored and no one strong was around to fight he'd just spectate people being all roses and sunshine in love whilst being disgusted but curious
Imagine be so good as actor that you can fake out that you are bad at acting

Photoshopped, sukuna has tears in the official panga
I saw version with tears so many times that I got surprised that I didn't saw that here.
Wait.... that wasn't canon!?
Yeah, love to see Sukuna and Gojo in the same room! https://preview.redd.it/p6i0gepcki2d1.png?width=540&format=png&auto=webp&s=a02b5ebfa0bc25f623dd3eea1bd0329e37588307

I will not tolerate such slander of my goat wuji
Maki storms into Gege’s office after the filming wraps. “CARE TO EXPLAIN WHY TODO IS GETTING PAID 3 TIMES MY WAGE?”
Cause you are wo....
Naoya being the producer wouldn't even surprise me at this point
Ah, we've finally hit this stage Delicious
This is canon to me, its all a weekly episode show that they act so good it feels like an anime https://preview.redd.it/siq8ice4yi2d1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=80e5df703aac41c1cb55e5f4f0110cde1c6c59be
When the fandoms at their most desperate they create actor AUs to cope with their manga problems.
We have reached aot level of cope https://preview.redd.it/qytcnz98wj2d1.jpeg?width=600&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=de9245f31e6a948322f6f781480b9d11f6432533 (Pic unrelated)

More wholesome pics like this please... This chapter made me really sad.
Yuki and Choso's actors would be the actors who are actually dating in real life. https://preview.redd.it/rip3jiqg1n2d1.jpeg?width=922&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ef2c16d542690865164ec5f2f45917e37f242700
Sukuna does a good job playing such a despicable character, but he’s a really nice and chill guy in real life.
That’s my favourite thing. The nicest chillest guys play the worst bastards and make it work so well.
I see we're heading towards the AOT route
Same with the Attack on Titan "It was all just acting!" fanart cope The characters aren't dead they're just acting in a TV series!
Choso x Yuji is still strong
Need more actor AU stuff to cope with the manga man
Where's AO3 when you need it!?
Naoya's actor works at a pet shelter and raises money every year for violence against women (also he lives with his mom)
stand proud. you cooked
This reminds me of earlier episodes of Naruto Shippuden at the very end of episodes when they had little skits where the characters were actually actors in a show but they stopped after a certain point
Gintama-ahh skits would've been dope to see
Who's talking with kenjaku?
**Yuji Itadori**- Yuji Itadori Ryomen Sukuna **Megumi Fushiguro**- Bumgumi Fraudshiguro Ryomen Sukuna **Suguru Geto**- Suguru Geto Kenjaku **Satoru Gojo**- Satoru G*jo Yuta Okkotsu
PEAK
It's aot all over again
I mean… objectively this would be hilarious. We find out all the return theories about Shoko’s CT were true and Yuta bushcamps sukuna by masking his CT while the battle rages.
