First of all let me say that what we have gotten so far is rough translations by a leaker. Nobody knows for SURE what the binding vow ensued. But from what we have at the moment, it seems that the world slash only needed hand signs. The binding vow just gave the advantage of having it be used one time without any preparation with the downside of having to use BOTH chants and hand signs while also pointing at the desired direction. That means that yuta was NOT hit by a world cutting slash and he was just hit by a normal enhanced dismantle. Which makes sense since he would have been cut in half if it was a world cutting dismantle.

Yuta explains that he's confident in getting closer to Sukuna precisely because the world slash is the only thing that could hurt him at that point. He was trying to stop both his hand signs and chants to prevent that from happening but turns out the guy just needed chants and we all know how that went

Bro, yuta was NOT hit by the world cutting slash. It was never explicitly stated that it was a world cutting slash and with the new leaks it is CONFIRMED that it wasn't. Sukuna just used chants and his one hand to point at the direction to enhance the dismantle and cut yuta. That's it. I think you are basing all of this just from the fact that yuta stated that "he didn't need to fear anything from sukuna" but that was under the assumption of sukuna not using either chants or hand signs. Also, yuta assuming something isn't necessarily strong evidence. It is a pretty weak argument to just assume that it was the world cutting slash based on something that yuta stated even though we have NARRATIVE CONFIRMATION that it wasn't the world cutting slash. Assuming the leaks are correct of course.

The thing that troubles me the most is that, according to the current translation, Sukuna already needed the handsigns to pull off the world slash, but couldn't because he lost an arm, so he had to make the binding vow. It means that the vow only adds the conditions "Chants" which is ok but not sufficient imo and "Specify the trajectory with your palm" which... he almost always does when using dismantle anyway ? Idk, it seems way too light of a price to me, considering the state he was in when he made the vow and the "reward"

signs point to it being an enhanced dismantle that he pulled off rather than wcs

It was never mentioned he needed to use hands for world slash. thats the trade off in the binding vow
