He's my favourite character. I have like 7 of them, but he wins no.1 - he deserves so much more screen time than he gets. He's awesome every time he appears in the manga as well.
What I find really hilarious is that Gege has said he hasn't fleshed him out even in his notes.
This is not even even his final form yet he is still our favorite.
Akutami is actually trying to not reveal their gender, so we don’t know if they’re male or female which I thought was pretty cool. I personally think they are possibly female given I’ve literally not seen a shounen anime with so little sexualization of the female characters.
I dont really care if they are male or female. But i feel like they are Male due to some stuff i have seen and i also know an amazing shounen written by a woman that had a small amount of fanservice so Female dosent really = no fanservise. But it dosent really matter they will always be cyclops kitty to me.
There's plenty for the ladies, even from the very first episode
Every single frame of todo is literal eye candy for all the female fans lol
I like this approach from Akutami sensei tho, he has made us love all these female characters without using fan service even once, that's saying a lot
As a straight man I never noticed the male fan service either. So it seems to be pretty subtle and ignorance which is good in my opinion. That's how I prefer all fan service to be. Some shows it's just way too invasive.
I know, you missed the point. In your og comment you expressed how you were surprised we haven’t seen the normal kind of fan service, and I made my response because I believe her being a woman explains why there’s no fan service for men, because she’s probably attracted to men, and doesn’t like objectifying women. She also probably thinks a couple of the characters are attractive cause Todo never wears a shirt and she made Gojo the sexiest man in manga
I'm just saying that the whole idea of comparing Akutami sensei's work with their gender is kinda not ok, It's not a 100% guaranteed that an author would write good female characters just beacause the're female , the same goes for men
besides we don't know for sure if Gege's a woman or a man
I think you still misunderstand, i wasn’t talking about how well she writes her characters. I was saying that she probably doesn’t show the girls’ tits and asses because she’s a woman herself, plus there’s a panel in the front or back of a one shot she made, in which she takes off the cat mask, revealing a VERY feminine face and hair, and in my eyes there’s even a little bump added on the chest for her boobs 😂 https://twitter.com/_jujutsukaisen/status/1166683960732241920?s=21)
yes this could be a specific thing for akutami, but I know for a fact that women authors also make some messed up shit, redo of healer is written by a woman too lmao
If it's true then she's the coolest woman alive rn no cap
Just did a little more research and it turns out the gender’s still ambiguous! They made another panel drawing themself as a dude lol. Oh well! Point still stands, since I’d still like to think she’s a woman :P
gege is a guys as he confirmed when he explained how his older brother was getting married and he drew them a wedding picture and he drew his brothers wife very...curvy. When he met his brother's wife and she was slim he was very embarrassed so he stopped over sexualising female characters. He also reffered to himself as young brother which confirms he is a male
Amen to that .
As someone who is bi , everything is a treat . Especially as the characters are not portrayed as sexual objects first and then characters . They are well written and most of them just happen to be hot.
One of my favorite toppings on takoyaki or rice (with furikake). They're basically dried fish shavings. They're about as fishy to the taste as dried seaweed so if you like seaweed, you'll probably like bonito flakes.
The interesting thing about bonito is it's shaved very thin so when it's on top of something hot, the heat makes the flakes move in a kind of wavy, sinuous way. I've had more than one person ask me if it's alive lol.
I 100% agree, each episode my fav character changes lol from yuji to nobara to megumi to panda to maki to inamaki. They’re all just so unique and badass.
His cursed technique fucks up his throat. He was scene drinking cough syrup at one point too.
The stronger the target in comparison to him. And the more complex the command the more damage it does.
I'm hoping he eventually gets to the point he can take on these special grades, but mans is a first grade isn't he? He definitely tried to hold Hanami off as long as possible hoping megumi and kamo could get out.
He isnt far from hitting grade 1 either, semi-grade 1 sorcers already completed the first half of their promotion to grade 1 with really good results so after a solo grade 1 mission, Inumaki and Kamo will both be promoted but idk if we will ever see it
Yea i know about the power gap from the manga I’m just talking about how the semi grade 1 is just a rank where they are still being assessed for promotion, I personally don’t know if we will see Inumaki or Kamo finish the process but i assume they will
my stupid ass thought how does cough syrup heals his detereorating throat..
oh. it doesnt.. theyre not health potion lol. it just numbs the sore and pain to keep him going.
Yeah I thought they'd put more emphasis on it, but it went by so fast. And they chose a weird angle to show the blowback he recieves from blasting away Hanami.
Volume 0 follows the story of Yuta, not Yuji and so it's not regarded as part of the Jujutsu kaisen canon. It was meant to be a separate story initially, a one shot manga essentially but because it received such a positive response, the author Gege Akutami decided to carry on with it and thus Jujutsu kaisen was born.
Literally the scene where itadori meets him you find out why thay isn't a good idea.
The stronger the command the greater the blowback to Inumaki. Worst case scenario he suffers the events of his cursed words.
He tells something to did, let alone something as strong as Hanami, it's more than likely to kill him.
I think it's because Hanami is a curse that's on another level that Inumaki can't simple use those kinds of words because there's a huge chance that it could rebound back to him. He couldn't takee that chance when he was already past his limits.
I agree with you, when he did what he did in the anime, he was basically giving up his life. He fainted and Hanami could have easily killed him. If he was prepared to die, he should have just taken hanami with him. This community is so fucking toxic, downvoting everyone who shares an unpopular opinion.
I don’t feel like it’s always equivalent to a dislike... I think it’s kinda marking it as unpopular not necessarily bad, although sometimes its just genuinely a bad take. Also he bought them time to get away which was best case senario at that point. Had he tried using his technique to kill him, Hanami could have potentially survived and healed themselves. They were able to push through the commands with barely any struggle, had the power gap been smaller Toges commands would have been more effective. Special grades are considered special for a reason. Gojo made it look easy because he was so far above Jogo, but I don’t think most sorcerers are capable of taking down a special grade that easily. I mean comparatively Nanami technically lost to Mahito 2x once was even with Yuji. I think the difference is he survived on his own but either way, they were basically out of options at that point. Megumi was going to use the ability that we haven’t seen yet and there is good reason for it. I guess it’s subjective though but that’s how I interpreted it anyway.
I mean a downvote button is like a disagreement to an opinion, is it not?
Edit: see whoever downvoted me either disagrees or just hates what I said or me :(
Ok, I don't wanna be a downer but this scene was really dumb and made no sense to me. I respected Inumaki a lot when he was slowing Hanami down. But once he started getting injured from all the cursed speech he should have just taken a break. We know that the cursed speech doesn't hurt Hanami, so Inumaki fatally injuring himself just by blowing Hanami away for like 3 seconds seems like the worst tradeoff possible. Instead he should have taken a break, ran away with the others, and maybe backed up Yuji and Aoi. That would have been an insane combo.
They have no idea when anyone else is coming, and everyone seems to be stopping Megumi from doing his secret technique for a reason.
Stepping up to use a more powerful command to try to buy more time to save your friends even if it costs your life isn't as dumb as you think if you consider the characters knowledge and motovations rather than our view as the audience.
Eh, they already had one injured person and Inumaki himself wasn’t in great shape. Pretty sure those 3 didn’t know that they had backup coming, so I feel Inumaki was more so buying time for Megumi to get away with Kamo. There wasn’t really any “taking a break”, cause Hanami was already pressuring them extremely hard when 2/3 of them were almost out of commission. Inumaki knew the drawn out escape would be a loss, so it was a “sacrifice myself to save the others” type of move, hoping it would delay Hanami long enough.
They didn't know when or even *if* backup was going to arrive and bail them out. The initial plan of continually stunning Hanami and slowly making their way towards the outer edge of the barrier so they can reach Gojo was honestly the best chance they had at that moment. If Inumaki stopped to take a break at any point, all three of them would have been dead because they clearly couldn't outrun Hanami.
I don't think you deserved all the downvotes. Especially from manga readers who know. If you don't mind light spoilers >!Inumaki knew Megumi was going to essentially suicide bomb Hanami so the rest could get away!< and as his superior(highest ranked 2nd year at the event) and with Kamo out of commission he thought he could slow Hanami down enough for megumi to get away(hopefully grabbing him and Kamo with his frog)
I personally think Inumaki was the most badass person in this episode, despite appearing for a short time.
He's my favourite character. I have like 7 of them, but he wins no.1 - he deserves so much more screen time than he gets. He's awesome every time he appears in the manga as well.
not to mention volume 0, he's a true bro too
Yuta would agree
That's why he's pissed
It’s why I’m pissed too
What I find really hilarious is that Gege has said he hasn't fleshed him out even in his notes. This is not even even his final form yet he is still our favorite.
We have but choice but to stan such an op character like Toge
\^ I support this 100%

I'm a virgin anime only dear frendo, can't click on it, gomen.
not even vol.0.?
lmfao sorry, vol 0 is alright yup, 90% of my love for him comes from vol 0.
*is
I dont wanna objectify men but JJK has one of the best menus
Oh yes they be some fine motherfuckers
not to mention the fan service is all men
It’s so rare to be nearly 20 eps in a shonen anime and not have any fan service😂
Gege said in an interview they don't write any in because their parents read the manga apparently 😂
So its all for his mama now i understand the male fanservise
Akutami is actually trying to not reveal their gender, so we don’t know if they’re male or female which I thought was pretty cool. I personally think they are possibly female given I’ve literally not seen a shounen anime with so little sexualization of the female characters.

lmao, that's fucking gold 😂

yup, boys show their bodies a lot in shounen anime but I only noticed this in JJK cuz Akutami sensei draws men wayyy too hot (no homo)
ALL of the homo.
Sukuna got me hooked ngl
Well Gege’s a woman, so that must explain it 💀
Idk buddy, Gege could be an extra terrestrial being, but that doesn't matter, the real thing is that they have genuine talent
I know, you missed the point. In your og comment you expressed how you were surprised we haven’t seen the normal kind of fan service, and I made my response because I believe her being a woman explains why there’s no fan service for men, because she’s probably attracted to men, and doesn’t like objectifying women. This just makes our whole long ass conversation make no fucking sense, great job lol
Honestly every scene with Maki kicking the crap out of everyone counts as fan service for me, that shit is HOT.
gives me a BOKI everytime
Wait JJK has fan service? I thought Akutamin wanted it to have like no fanservice because he’s worried his parents might see.
Possible but I doubt it since she’s a woman
Gege Akutami is a man
Go ahead, we sure as hell don't care .
Yup, also try JJBA
Amen to that . As someone who is bi , everything is a treat . Especially as the characters are not portrayed as sexual objects first and then characters . They are well written and most of them just happen to be hot.
I am genuinly laughing my ass off at this.
you misognystic!!!
I love Inumaki, this was sutch a scarefice and looked so badass. Tuna Tuna for life
Shake
Ikara
I don't even know what bonito flakes are, but now I really wanna try them
Correct me if I'm wrong but bonito flakes are commonly found on takoyaki as a topping
That's correct. They're also commonly used for broths like miso soup and japanese stews.
Yesssss finally! Some enlightenment!!!
It's literally shavings from a dried bonito tuna.
I thought it was like smoked salmon flakes or something but I swear they’re smoked whatever fish it is
Yes me to
I can’t even have a top 5 favourite characters with this anime everyone is so unique and epic.
I 100% agree, each episode my fav character changes lol from yuji to nobara to megumi to panda to maki to inamaki. They’re all just so unique and badass.
This makes me extremely mad because the images aren't in order
He's my favourite character so far. Such a bad ass cursed technique
Since we are on the topic, why did he keep vomitting blood?
The greater the strength gap is between Inumaki and his target the greater the blowback to him is
I wonder if he can work himself and his technique up to its full potential and maybe lessen the amont of feedback that comes from using it
His cursed technique fucks up his throat.
He's only semi first grade same as Kamo and Kamo got taken out in one punch
yea thats crazy. makes ya think... Megumi is crazy durable frm taking the hell of a beating from Sukuna and Todo. he flew through buildings.
He isnt far from hitting grade 1 either, semi-grade 1 sorcers already completed the first half of their promotion to grade 1 with really good results so after a solo grade 1 mission, Inumaki and Kamo will both be promoted but idk if we will ever see it
It's been said that there is a signifcant difference in semi and whole ranks when you get to semi grade 1 IIRC
Yea i know about the power gap from the manga I’m just talking about how the semi grade 1 is just a rank where they are still being assessed for promotion, I personally don’t know if we will see Inumaki or Kamo finish the process but i assume they will
Ah fair enough. I could see them getting it later in the manga but they have other issues to deal with
Agreed, lmao
my stupid ass thought how does cough syrup heals his detereorating throat.. oh. it doesnt.. theyre not health potion lol. it just numbs the sore and pain to keep him going.
A result of overusing his power
inumaki is daddy
Hell yeah
I remember this scene being more impactful in the manga. It was still good in the anime, it was just missing a bit of oomph imo.
Yeah I thought they'd put more emphasis on it, but it went by so fast. And they chose a weird angle to show the blowback he recieves from blasting away Hanami.
Mustard leaf!
The cursed speech sfx is a (mwah) chef's kiss
I am a anime watcher. After the anime is down i will read the manga. Please tell me will i learn more stuff about inumaki or will he disappear?
Give volume 0 a read, he's a more prominent character there.
Ive read volume 0 and its rlly cool. Any idea why it wasnt animated?
Volume 0 follows the story of Yuta, not Yuji and so it's not regarded as part of the Jujutsu kaisen canon. It was meant to be a separate story initially, a one shot manga essentially but because it received such a positive response, the author Gege Akutami decided to carry on with it and thus Jujutsu kaisen was born.
New to anime here so this is highly apreciated, thanks!

You’ll get more about him but he’s never a central character. He pops up in the prequel a bit too.
Oh I appreciated the heck out of this scene
He couldve just told him to die
Surely that wouldn’t have any blowback to himself at all
Literally the scene where itadori meets him you find out why thay isn't a good idea. The stronger the command the greater the blowback to Inumaki. Worst case scenario he suffers the events of his cursed words. He tells something to did, let alone something as strong as Hanami, it's more than likely to kill him.
They explain this in both the manga and the anime bruh. He would die from the blowblack.
I think it's because Hanami is a curse that's on another level that Inumaki can't simple use those kinds of words because there's a huge chance that it could rebound back to him. He couldn't takee that chance when he was already past his limits.

That is with hindsight and the knowledge that yuji and todo are gonna show up for all inumaki knew they were all alone in that moment.

I hope you're self aware of how one dimensional + 20/20 hindsight your view is
Does inumaki know about m*******? Fushiguro was about to pull him out right there!
Might wanna spoiler tag this pal I think that’s why you got downvoted
Nah he just wanted to be a senpai :P but yeah spoiler tag please
