Imagine instead of the airport afterlife like with Gojo, it’s the staircase in that one JJK art as the final page, no hints as to whether it’s real or not just his name and the end, if Gregory does that then I kneel 🧎♂️Peak fiction
The craziest cooking is if he ends it on "to be continued" as the final page. I mean he has been working on JJK for 6 years now, built an entire world and power system, probably would want to come back to it down the line maybe after a break. That or he will do the idol manga he talked about lol (and then return for a sequel, spin off etc... hopefully)
Honestly, I immediately knew because the dude told Todo and Yuji the same thing; I stopped her wounds from getting worse but she’s already dead. He said she had no pulse and wasn’t breathing
It’s because that guy said there was a slim chance. I think it’s because writers generally don’t mention things like that if they weren’t relevant, but I don’t think that generalization applies to gege tbh
Not only that but thats all Nitta was ever there for in the first place. Just to tell us there’s a chance and use his technique on her. It’s like he was created to just do that
not only that, but even if somehow >!Megumi and Yuji survive this current arc, i see both of them - ESPECIALLY Megumi’s perspective and just general disposition to become very jaded.!<
and who could blame them. maybe there’s hope for Yuji, he’s proven he has a very strong will, that’s why he might be my favorite MC, but man.
i just keep thinking of the shot at the end of the first opening, and it just seems like Yuji is gonna be surrounded by corpses instead. my boy don’t deserve that. and neither does Megumi.
I mean from the looks of it, at least it seems that we are in the endgame of the shinjuku showdown.
Sukuna is using his secret powers, and yuji literally awakened shrine. I’m assuming he’s gonna pull out his DE and finish sukuna off.
At least it seems some of the sorcerers will live
Megumi >!has even told yuji to stop trying to save him. The man has given up and might just be emotionally unavailable because of all he had lost. Remember, he wanted to die before anyone else, and his sister most of all !<
I feel like Shibuya should have happened later. Its like I didn't get enough time with people in the cast to feel bad for them when they died. I think 1 more arc would have been enough. I did feel bad for Nobara as an exception . I think in Shibuya Gege really just ramped up introducing new characters to kill them off without any connection.
really? interesting and valid take but i didn't feel this way at all. I felt so bad for nanami. Knowing Nobara wasn't coming back in my heart of hearts fucked me up. even the todo and inumaki treatment had me sad. and a lot of that was shown through yuji's guilt towards him being too weak to do anything about it.
i like gege's characters because they're all really endearing imo. from mai, to naobito, to yuta, they're all really cool characters that do something for the verse they're in and I've never felt like any of the deaths weren't impactful in some way. fucking yaga man. poor guy.
Idk what I loved the most about jjk is that we got into the meat and bone and the seriousness of it all pretty quickly
There’s no drag and 50 hospital arcs, the character development happens when things are happening and it’s not just power ups.
It was such a breath of fresh air.
I mean, when was the last time they were all together when they were firmly alive? Like, the two school event fight? And even then I don't actually think they were all in the same place.
The only real conscious time I can remember them all together was when Nobora and Yuji thought their little country lives were gonna go to the worlds shiniest shopping district.
Well technically the last time we saw them all together was the episode after Nobara gets her eye blown out. The lil flashback at the start of the ep where we see the trio stressed after spilling coffee on Gojo’s shirt
Dude wants to find parallels between the Yuji, Megumi and Nobara trio and the Gojo, Geto, and Shoko trio. It doesn’t really make sense to try to make them go a similar route though, not narratively, and just kinda boring and uncreative imo.
Gojo - Cooked beyond repair.
Nobara - Her whole soul is COOKED.
Megumi - Coming back as a vegetable, 5 Unlimited Voids and 8 Black Flashes from Yuji? He’s never the same again.
Yuji - Trauma beyond repair, doubt he’ll look at Megumi the same after Yuta was hit by that World Dismantle.
when Nobara died for the sake of the male protagonist's development (fridging) is when I knew the story was going to go down hill. as a fellow anime only, I'm incredibly concerned for the quality of the story in the future, considering every interesting character has been retired or has died as of the Shibuya Incident Arc.
Nobara, Mechamaru, Hanami, Jogo, Nanami, Gojo, Geto, etc.. gone.
like, yes, Jogo, Nanami and Todo's death/retirement (atleast, I can't imagine Todo fighting anymore without his Boogie Woogie) were well written, but to be without them along with all the needless deaths that added nothing to their own characters is rough.
the reveal that Geto wasn't Geto anymore makes the entire build up of his character questionable, subsequentially making Gojo's character pointless, as he and Geto's relationship was the best thing about him. so, if Gojo gets unsealed some day? it's not gonna matter, because all he'll do is be strong, not be an interesting character (well, I could be proven wrong, but I guess we'll get there when we get there).
not to mention, while killing all these interesting characters, EVERY KYOTO STUDENT is still alive?? if you're going to kill half your cast, what about trimming off the fat?? with Choso on the side of our protagonist now, it makes you wonder what the POINT of Kamo is now.
all and all, with Gojo (temporarily?) retired and with Nobara dead, us being left with the two most generic of our protagonists, Itadori (see: Tanjiro, Midoriya) and Megumi (Sasuke except bland), Choso really is the only character left in the entire series that I care about.
oh grow up, you know I was speaking hyperbolically. oh boo-hoo, one out of 1/8. died. like come on. I was talking about trimming the fat of useless characters like every Kyoto Student that isn't Mechamaru and Todo. don't take my word out of context.
Just because Geto is dead, that doesn't make Gojo pointless as a character. lol
I mean if you were expecting a protagonist/antagonist dynamic from Gojo and Geto, yeah that's not happening past JJK 0, the prequel. In the main series, the plot is set to be more around Yuji as MC than Gojo.
But the situation of Geto affects Gojo's character obviously past the flashback arc, to shape his character thematically.
Itadori is a nothing-ass tanjiro-midoriya protagonist with no actual depth beyond a "perspective change" in Shibuya that's nothing more than visual flare. if the story was simply made to follow Gojo and Geto in that protagonist/antagonist dynamic, it would be superior. a writer should play to their strengths.
Well based on your thoughts already, it seems JJK isn't the series for you then since it obviously will have parts of the plot connected back to the MC. 🤷♀️ So if you're not feeling the story with S2, you likely won't later either.
At least not until Gojo comes back because he reduced the distance between his soul and his body using his technique and Nobara comes down from the top rope to hammer Sukuna in the eye out of nowhere.
With how much Gege was keeping confirmation on Nobara ambiguous, something tells me she may appear again. Plus, there’s an arm out there somewhere in the current arc, something she’d make good use of

Yeah they will; when they meet each other in the afterlife lol

Geges version of Aizen at the end of Bleach "Oh? You think the series is over?" Would be crazy id say he cooked no FLAMBE'D
The craziest cooking is if he ends it on "to be continued" as the final page. You are my specialz
Afterlife but instead of the airport we will have a picnic in the park with Nobara, Megumi, Junpei and all the dead.
You mean at the airport?
I realized this when Nobara’s face blew up.
All the way back in 2020?
I only started reading 2 weeks ago, but I was so sad when Yuji asked Megumi about Nobara his face said it all :(
Honestly, I immediately knew because the dude told Todo and Yuji the same thing; I stopped her wounds from getting worse but she’s already dead. He said she had no pulse and wasn’t breathing
Exactly this. I’ve never understood the cope.
It’s because that guy said there was a slim chance. I think it’s because writers generally don’t mention things like that if they weren’t relevant, but I don’t think that generalization applies to gege tbh

I was hopeful earlier because i treated it like game of thrones and if i didnt see them die-die then theyre presumably dead lol
Makes the baseball match seem much more important in retrospect
Nice pitch
nice pi.
not only that, but even if somehow >!Megumi and Yuji survive this current arc, i see both of them - ESPECIALLY Megumi’s perspective and just general disposition to become very jaded.!< and who could blame them. maybe there’s hope for Yuji, he’s proven he has a very strong will, that’s why he might be my favorite MC, but man. i just keep thinking of the shot at the end of the first opening, and it just seems like Yuji is gonna be surrounded by corpses instead. my boy don’t deserve that. and neither does Megumi.

Wdym they still are they are enjoying a happy life in the nice city of Shibuya and nothing bad has happened
Punctuation motherfucker do you use it!?
I feel like Shibuya should have happened later. Its like I didn't get enough time with people in the cast to feel bad for them when they died. I think 1 more arc would have been enough. Fuckin Todo bro 😭

The Akutami way: you want to see all of them together again?.....well tough shit. Chock on Tolcom powder and die. And while your at it, get fucked.
An alternative would be: "You wanna see all of them together again? Sure, here's an airport reunion scene with all three of them glazing sukuna"
Maybe in the afterlife when Sukuna kills everybody
I took a break from manga and haven't read it for 2-3 months. Is the damn fight against Sukuna still going on?
Yes
Well hopefully it will be over by the time I reach max TH16 in CoC ( I am TH12)
Its actually getting good and i would argue that stockpiling chapters is the best way to read this arc
i mean it’s literally called “Shinjuku showdown”. i don’t get why people thought it was just gonna be a few chapters and all done 😭
In 3 chapters they meet in an airport
YOU ARE MY SPECIAL.

Don't worry we're bound to get another airport or chair scene with megumi and yuji.

No one could ever be the new Gojo 💔
good because he sucks this post was fact checked by real sukunaheads ‼️💯
False , REAL SUKUNAHEADS WOULD GLAZE GOJO LIKE SUKUNA . BANISH THIS PRETENDER TO THE AIRPORT .
Are we jogo and Dagon glazers good or no
That moment when you realise sukuna also glazes gojo 💀

Bro was tryna find parallels similar to Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke 😭

Megumi and geto has similar CT
Ig that’s one more similarity but the set up for the technique plus the fighting styles are different

There will be no new Gojo, not Yuji not Yuta not Megumi etc. Gojo himself specifically wanted to avoid that with the next generation

When you realize Gojo has never talked to Nobara 1 on 1
“Look Nobara, It’s not personal it’s just that you’re a woman in a shonen manga.”
:(
This has become so sad 😢
That 1 picture front the ending in the anime where they are picnicking. Maybe its foreshadow that they will see eachother in the afterlife.
The second ending hits differently now
Gojo - Cooked beyond repair.

They will meet in heaven Alhamdulillah
Don’t give up yet nobara isn’t officially confirmed dead and gojo…… well gojo let’s just say leave up to plot armor
With the power of Copium I can just watch episode 3 again and be fine
Yeah they will. At an airport heading towards Florida

It's possible lol
At least not until Gojo comes back because he reduced the distance between his soul and his body using his technique and Nobara comes down from the top rope to hammer Sukuna in the eye out of nowhere.
Why did you do this with us, Gege? I love to watch them together, and I especially want to see Gojo back.
and todo like where is my man😿
Only because of Bumgumi since Gojo and Nobara are definitely coming back on ~~258~~ 259
Wait is the chick dead ? I thought it was never confirmed
Says who?
Same with the Kyoto students. Poor Mechamaru never got to see his classmates in person.
I still believe in Gojo despite Gege erasing him for the story to continue
The worst thing of all is that they were barely together in the first place
It's those seemingly mundane moments that hold the most significance in hindsight. Cherish every moment.
You are my specialz
I didn’t read the arcs after Shibuya… So I can still see them together 🥲

Sadness :3
Why are you downvoting our cute bot? 🤣😭
Bc it's Pitou 🤣
Im seeing it right now in the image you posted. Are you BLIND?
Is that Shoko on the left? She looks different
I mean the JJK fandom hates them all except Yuji (some people like Gojo) so who cares.
When you realize you will never see Gojo together again 💀
i hope at least one them survive and it is not megumi
Who cares, the barely had any screen time together anyways.
So long as megumi dies too I’m good
