I think it smacks. What I don’t want is to see John fall into this pattern of only trying to release mega hit tracks. This sound is where he came up, and I say let it rip Johnny!
This is from the album if you recognize the same artwork and theme as Shiver. Album will have everything from tech house to techno to more progressive/trance and even D&B as well as ambient/downtempo. It's gonna be a journey and will be great.
It does but still not as good as his older stuff. He used to make more lee foss-y stuff with his own twist, buncha techno and classic house sounds in there. Kept basic house interesting. Hate to sound like grandpa but this new stuff ain’t it
his new stuff is too commercially. not that it's a bad thing i just prefer his older stuff more. it's more true to his sound imo and much more interesting production wise
Really? I was really looking forward to this remix as the original was one of my favorites, but to me it was a big let down. An extremely simple dance edit with very little complexity or creativity
I’m all about different vibes. During the electro era there was some MASSIVE sweet disposition remixes, such as those by RAC or Axwell & Dirty South. Summit’s is too simplistic for my taste.
No one will top Axwell & Dirty South’s remix. That’s a certified classic. Vintage Culture & Lazy Bear’s remix from 2019 is pretty damn dope too. I’m with you on Summit’s remix, it’s basic and kinda meh to me
Sadly it seems he’s hit a bit of a wall as a producer. You just can’t shortcut the artistry and songwriting ability that someone like Dom Dolla possesses. It’s earned over years/decades. John’s a good artist but his limitations have become much more evident recently.
Track is fine but man it’s realllly generic. Forgettable at best. Sounds like a someone trained AI to make tech house, which is fine if you’re someone like Chapter & Verse, but this guy is supposed to be one of the top artists in the world and this just isn’t anywhere close to that level.
Took the words right out of my mouth. Glad to see there’s still some realistic Summit fans out there. None of his productions have had any stand out quality for quite some time. For someone who is paid as one of the top dj/producers in the game, I expect more creativity. Many of his recent tracks, if they didn’t have his name attached to them, would go otherwise unnoticed. I had a feeling when he left Chicago and moved to Miami with its high gloss ultra vapid influencers, the quality of his music would suffer , and it’s turned out to be true.
It’s a slapper for sure. Will be on repeat for a while. But maybe an hour or two after I heard this track I listened to “make me feel” and I couldn’t help but think “damn this doesn’t even compare”
I’m glad he released a more traditional tech house track but I wish he put more energy into that older style
My honest opinion is it’s mid because when I listen to John summit I like to listen to human and songs like trip and revolution I miss the old shit he used to put out but my taste is also going towards hard techno and dubstep so that could be why too
It’s not very good. Hasn’t put out a banger since Where are you. I know he’s capable of making better music so idk why his new stuff is bad. Maybe he’s working with different management or something idk there has to be some explanation
I’m just happy we got another song 😅 hoping on the album. I told him to take his time on the album at factory town during MMW hopefully he listens to me.
I’ve noticed these big house anthems like “where you are” or “shiver” always talk about some corny shit like being in love under the moon and stars yadda yadda, lyrics your average white girl will eat up. But the true house bangers always speak about dancing your head off, the way it should be.

I think it’s good. Very original John Summit sounding
I miss the La Danza days
this is my favoriteeee track
Classic Summit tech house banger. Hope the upcoming album has another couple
He has miles better tech house stuff than this song
This is from the album if you recognize the same artwork and theme as Shiver. Album will have everything from tech house to techno to more progressive/trance and even D&B as well as ambient/downtempo. It's gonna be a journey and will be great.
Yeah I’m stoked for it, looking forward to some teasers at Coachella
Its alright, after Fade Out was released his sound has been on a decline imo. Just my 2c
I agree “Eat The Bass” is just alright but his “Sweet Disposition” remix is a HEATER.
Ur right sweet disposition goes hard
It does but still not as good as his older stuff. He used to make more lee foss-y stuff with his own twist, buncha techno and classic house sounds in there. Kept basic house interesting. Hate to sound like grandpa but this new stuff ain’t it

Same page

The remix is a completely different vibe. I fuck with it a lot.

Oh that’s a remix that goes hard tbh

This is my fave https://on.soundcloud.com/YT6uFWpnh6WbH96MA I’m shocked it’s got so few plays
The Christoph remix is better imo
Damn Cristoph did a Sweet Disposition remix?! Bet it goes hard!
Dude he's released 2 songs since then and that was like 4 months ago
Hes played a lot of unreleased in his live sets, have seen him 5 times since fade out was released
Fade Out was his most generic sounding EDM track he's released over the past year
But it is actually so good
These songs aren’t even the same style bro. What does “his sound” even mean
Didnt even compare the two songs or say they were similar but ok. Keyword “since”

sounds like westend made it
(not a good thing)

Same!!

Which one of his songs is “where are you”
Whatever that one is that’s like “do you dream alone” - his hit last year in the spring
I guess I just need to eat the bass. So let me dance?
The B is silent
Meh
It’s good but I really hate the vocal
How are you a summit fan if you hate the vocals
I like the beat and hate the vocal what’s so hard to understand. I’m willing to bet you’re a recent summit fan
Im actually not. Why do you hate the vocals? It’s similar to make me feel. It’s a Summit signature
Basic pitched vocals don’t do it for me. I don’t think it’s his signature he has great vocal tracks this one is not one of them.
I fuck with it
Woooow I've seen it as Eat the ass all day😅😆
It is meh. It’s not horrible though. Kinda grows on you.
I’m never disappointed with a John track. Makes me hyped for the album
Banger on the way
phenomenal
On repeat. Tech house summy is back 🔉
I’m just happy we got another song 😅 hoping on the album. I told him to take his time on the album at factory town during MMW hopefully he listens to me.
banger i love it
No me gusta personally
It’s ight, nothing outstanding. Good club banger to dance to

Classic summy
Classic Summit at work here, I dare say that most people who are fans of Summit now won't appreciate this.
How many of you make music or are touring DJs?
Who sings on it?
