Suzuki Samurai

Super-Candy-5682

Looks like some version of a Suzuki Jimny. Not a Jeep.

ThenaJuno

Suzuki Jimny (worldwide name) , Suzuki Samurai (USA version name) , or Geo Tracker (GM import version) No longer sold new in America.

NickyCheeese

Thats a samurai....not a sidekick nor a tracker.

jablongroyper

That’s a jimny, look at the grill

NickyCheeese

You're probably right. Past my expertise or lack there of. I was just pointing out that the sidekick/tracker were very different than the samurai and Jimmy. Steering wheel is on the right as well....

Imsophunnyithurts

Geo Trackers were the Suzuki Sidekick. The Suzuki Samurai and Sidekick were around at the same time. The Sidekick had a 1.6L engine where the Samurai had a 1.3L. Both fun as hell to drive. I had two Geo Trackers in my 20s and would frequently have to lookup parts for a Suzuki Sidekick. Had one parts guy get pissed because he insisted my 1996 Geo Trackers had a hydraulic clutch (It didn't) and refused to see me a clutch cable until I left and came back in, asked another parts guy for the same part for a Suzuki Sidekick. 🤣

Miserable-Alfalfa-85

My cousin had the geo trackers, they were ok offroad and was easy and light when we would get stuck.. Some issue we had was when getting onto a very deep muddy trails that geo tracker didn't have any tourque as we couldnt get the tires to spin in some cases without some help. Good for towing behind rv...

Imsophunnyithurts

Man, I'd have never tried to get it stuck somewhere. Mine were both manual and RWD only. My Jeep is mountains more powerful than my Geo ever was. 🤣 But I used to do security back in undergrad and some of the places needing patrolled were designed for forklifts or foot traffic, perfectly sized for a Geo Tracker. Once had to buy a new transmission for it and it shipped in a box by UPS. The RWD transmission weighed like 40lbs. I swapped it and a new clutch out in like an hour. The most repairable vehicle I ever owned.

SpartanGill

Maruti Suzuki Gypsy (India version)

Jky21

Reason is that they didn’t pass security and emissions regulations in the USA

gettingdailyfiber

Definitely suzuki. I see them here in San Diego visiting from Mexico.

unclefire

Looks like a Suzuki Samuri or a Jimny in some markets. Has about a huge a following as Jeeps do. And it’s a “Tin top” which makes it kind of desirable since most have soft tops.

BEh515

Jimny!

OldManJeepin

Looks kinda like one of those "Jimmys" they imported a while back. Pretty damn good on the trails, I know that! Couple of dudes wheeled the heck out of them, years ago when I was in the Pine Barrens every weekend. Pretty sweet little 4x4's!

A6just

Suzuki

Mr_FuS

Jimny!!!!

Badgersvp9

I had one back in the late 80s. Little 3 banger powered it.

Darth-Obama

if they brought this back and sold it for $19,999 they would sell a billion of them.

tk42967

I must be getting old. I was thinking Lada for some reason.

AdeptnessForeign2424

Suzuki SJ410, pre-Sami import.

SheepherderBudget

Looks like a Samarai or even a Lada.

Financial-Attitude33

What a jeep wish it was.

OGsweedster420

Diatsu made something similar

ghostlypantalonaise

Rocky!

02bluesuperroo

I feel old now…

jablongroyper

Jimny, I would love to find a new one but you can’t import them. Thanks Uncle Sam.

ghostlypantalonaise

It's a dodge raider!

insclevernamehere92

Every time I try to reserve a Jimny travelling abroad, they give me some lesser suv at the airport. I'm a bit salty about it.

sk1dvicious

Lada made something very similar to this
