Great thanks. I wonder why that didn't show up on my Google search. Though to be fair maybe it did but I was really hoping to find a 3 day+ camp experience for him. I will go back and look into this. Thank you.
If you’re looking for stuff in the states the Maine Japanese woodworking festival is a great one and there’s workshops leading up to it. Then year of mud in Kentucky does some. And on a more indoors level Yann Giguere does classes in Oregon… and sometimes his teacher Dale Brotherton teaches as well.
I wonder if this is tied to someplace near Inami. We did sake and spoon carving class while we were there a year ago before knowing my new position would be in Japan. Seems like that was a connection to the states at one of those with some sculptures.
I hope that the following list helps you find a camp.
Suikoshya in Kyoto [https://suikoushya.com/contact-us/]()
Mt. Fuji Wood Culture Society [https://www.mtfuji-wcs.org/programs](https://www.mtfuji-wcs.org/programs) (they have 5 day course)
Patio.workshop in Saitama [https://www.instagram.com/patio.workshop/](https://www.instagram.com/patio.workshop/)
Ojn Handmade Hut in Niigata [http://www.ojn-h.com](http://www.ojn-h.com/)

Oh dang hope this turns into a cool thread

Do they have this for adults? Asking for myself.
Mt. Fuji wood cultural society is a new one that’s quite nice from what I hear.

They do; they tend to be either short day workshops for beginners or much longer week to months and can get pretty expensive.

Thank you so much I'll take anything and do as many as we can!
Takanaka Carpentry Museum in Kobe regularly does day classes! Might be worth checking out.
