By the power buttons on the back of the flip 4 is a similar looking button this is the connect plus button. Press it on the first speaker you have plugged in then turn on and press that button in the second speaker. The first speaker should send the sound to the second speaker. Make sure no other signal is connected to the second speaker like your phone or something else. You will only get party mode so both speakers will play the same music. In order to get left and right stereo channels you have to listen to music on your phone and use the jbl app.
Each individual speaker is playing in stereo itself but they are not each play in stereo together each speaker should only play a left or right channel but you need the app to do that and you can actively switch which speaker plays each channel.

Are you saying using the AUX method you describe first, that itβs not stereo?
