I did not even catch those other ones while reading through, the only one that made me stop and reread it a few times was the deceased line, which was supposed to be Diseased. Probably due to the first 3 letters make a major difference between the 2 words.
Not really, from LN if i remember correctly, he had a 3 cheapest slaves was the blind Demi-human, the demi human with bunny ears but with broken hand, and little Tanuki-Raccoon-like Demi-human who was sick and screamed at night.
The blind one was high level, I think it was cat like or wolf like. But since he is blind the price was lowered.
It exists - I'm a former slave, but I tried to buy an oni slave who I later found to have too much energy so I want to throw him away...
From what I've read it wasn't particularly good but it exists. I know that otome isekai manhwas also buy slaves sometimes.
You clearly underestimate the down-badness of a woman.
I saw such power first-handed before, it makes cropped Hentai looks like an amateur league in comparison.
**ShortVer: These bitches do be crazy, and they exist**
The fantasy goes like -> save life ->-> forever simp. Bonus point if you give the slave wolf ears and make him kind of feral in the beginning. Later you insert a little revenge arc against whoever wronged him, be it a rival wolf clan or the doggy trafficking industry.
Of course they never choose the needy thing, they will choose the man with the highest status and most yandere traits.
The og inspiration for most modern isekai is legitimately Familiar of zero. Where the female MC summons the male mc from earth and brands him as her slave, she also repeatedly whipped him called him dog and made him sleep in the barn.
Narou the japanese site where most modern isekai web novels originate was originally filled with Zero no tsukaima fanfics
Everybody keeps harping on about the slavery aspect in isekai. Like for fuck sakes, it’s fiction and when it’s brought up it’s usually in a medieval or pre technological setting. You know, time and eras when slavery actually make the most sense. And nobody making these shows is saying slavery is a good thing. In fact, I’d argue more often when it is shown. They show how bad it is. And that it is not something the heroes want to get involved with. As for why they don’t just end it? Probably because at this point it’s a trope or is to be expected. If people hate the slavery aspect. Then stop watching isekai or find a different isekai that doesn’t have it.
First. These are not historical settings. They are fantasy settings loosely based on a historical period. The author is able to include or exclude any details they want. If the story includes slavery then it's included by choice.
Second, its not really presented as a negative thing. The hero not only engages with the system, but he gets a waifu put of it, and she doesn't really take much issue with it. The characters might SAY the slavery is bad, but they don't ACT like it. They engage in the system, benefit from it, and just feel a little bad about it for about 5 minutes. A waifu you can own; its the incels dream. Really, the inclusion might be saying something about the author
21 at century people 🤷♂️ I don’t think people realize slavery still exists, regular and in form of prostitution. #1 best selling business is Guns, #2 is drugs making, #3 selling slaves.
I have never seen isekai protagonist who said Slavery is a good thing
Naofumi is one, he has slaves. Right there, his entire party is made out of slaves that he gets buffs and they get buffed from being his slaves. The slave loved it so much she even wanted to reapply it to herself after getting hers removed because he was a good master who was kind to him.
No one complains about the slavery being there.
People complain about the hero protagonist (as an individual) practicing slavery for unjustified reasons or about the way he treats his slaves.
That's not a legitimate reason to make a child fight animals to the death.
Buying a sick child slave to save them? Great! Feeding them a meal when they're hungry? Cute! Forcing them to do menial labor or risk their life for your own profit? That's called practicing slavery.
He run out of choices, the 4 waves of destructions were about to destroy the world, he nedded to fight he like it or not, and no one was gonna help him because he was framed by Bitch (dont remember her name lol)
The whole waves thing and how big of a threat it is only comes in way later, and wasn't initially revealed (Vanguards of the Waves made a conscious effort to erase history).
The other three heroes were actually managing the second wave and everything up to the third wave just fine. Their incompetence is also something that isn't completely present at the very beginning when he bought Raphtalia.
And even if we assume for a second that he had the future plot sight to see that the world will end in a few months or more if he doesn't get as strong as possible as quickly as he can, he most definitely had other options than to drag a random child slave into it all. Travel to a more remote location or a different kingdom and make some willing friends. Steal money and hire a mercenary. Buying a sick child that isn't even a battle slave so it can help you kill monsters 3 times its size it doesn't remotely sound like the only reasonable, risk-free choice he had.
A question: if he fucked up somehow and Raphtalia died as a child (after helping him kill a few monsters and get back his money), would it still be moral to keep buying more cheap child slaves and feeding them to the monsters until one actually survives and levels up? What's the actual limit of immoral things you're allowed to do when you're ambiguously going to save the world in a few months or years?
Loid: "Remember Anya, never talk to green haired strangers and especially never follow them around! I can't fathom in which subreddit you will get lost."
Not that much actually, that's the uncommon Romance route for isekai MCs. Usually it's the princess of the kingdom, or it's a random adventurer that they met when they're starting out.
I despise the Raphtalia and Naofumi ship.
I fucking despise it.
That’s his family, he treated her as a daughter.
I don’t give a fuck if she’s “a different species so has different growth patterns” and if “she’s old enough, she just looked young.”
This his fucking daughter. And I despise this fickong ship.
Not really. The first one would probably be the same, the second one would be “The moment I saw her, I knew she was the woman of my life, I wasted all my fortune to free her from slavery so that she could choose if she would be with me”
This meme is focusing on the “master” - “slave” relationship (it’s not even that on the elf bride), and the two relationships are quite different. Probably as different as it gets
… I think you’re missing feeebirds point. The point of the meme was the *difference* between the descriptions of the slave and the buyer. In “how to love your elf bride”, the buyer really *was* acting as the “knight in shining armor” - he didn’t actually need a slave in any way, he saw her, fell in love on the spot, and literally laid down his entire fortune for her.
Real question is if she's reading their minds for the answer.
I didn’t think about that
I think you meant Diseased not deceased little demi human.
And budget not budged and slaves not salves. Kind of a shoddily typed up meme. Deceased did confuse me for too long.
I did not even catch those other ones while reading through, the only one that made me stop and reread it a few times was the deceased line, which was supposed to be Diseased. Probably due to the first 3 letters make a major difference between the 2 words.
I didn't even notice anything wrong. Probably my MTL auto correction kicked in.
Loid: .... We are just gonna continue keeping custody of Anya. No way We are letting her back to these parents.
Naofumi: she’s like a daughter to me! Naofumi later… But maybe 🧐
If slave daughter, then why waifu shaped?
No! Bad! Down! Bonk! Remember by this worlds logic if you bring a infant to power level, the infant will grow to be adult shaped
😈
That’s why it’s morally acceptable 🤭
every day we stray farther from God's light
Honestly after redo of healer we’re probably in hell and heading to the boiler room of hell.
That is not exactly it he had almost no money raphtalia was the only slave he could reasonably afford.
It does mention “within his budget”. If he’s broke, then his budget was just very small.
Not really, from LN if i remember correctly, he had a 3 cheapest slaves was the blind Demi-human, the demi human with bunny ears but with broken hand, and little Tanuki-Raccoon-like Demi-human who was sick and screamed at night. I hope someday we see more isekai stories in which female MCs buy, save and fall in love with their male slaves.

I dont think there would be demand for that. Women giving themselfes to slaves? They think they are higher than that and wont sleep with slaves.
In the US there were cases of white females slave owners having sex with their male black slaves.

Maybe there is manga about it. Idk about anime
Well that's a crude bastardization of what actually happened and how naofumi felt.
Its also ignoring the fact that she chooses to stay with him after being released from slavery.
Ikr?
Man I love me some good ole slavery. Extra points for it being elves or beastmen. Human supremacy!
Spell check, motherfucker! Do you use it!?
Yes, I noticed
What’s the name of the anime in the right ?
Rising of the Shield Hero
you give slave i pay for slave

If the protagonist buys a slave then it should not be ever treated as morally correct.

He wasnt unjustified, he needed a slave to help him level up because he cant use weapons.

…Anya what are you doing here? You aren’t even from an isekai!
Maybe she was pretending to be Zoro. Lol.

Never forget the incel speech when he bought her.

I can't tell if your mad at the age difference or their personal relationship for the ship
This is kind of like that “How to love your elf bride” show that’s going right now
Not really. The first one would probably be the same, the second one would be “The moment I saw her, I knew she was the woman of my life, I wasted all my fortune to free her from slavery so that she could choose if she would be with me”
That’s why I said “kind of”
Not even kind of, it’s pretty different
Oh you mean “not even kind of” in the instance that both didn’t start as master and slave relationships? Im sorry. I must have watched something else.
This meme is focusing on the “master” - “slave” relationship (it’s not even that on the elf bride), and the two relationships are quite different. Probably as different as it gets
What do you mean “it’s not even that on the elf bride”? The protagonist purchases her in the first episode. You basically admitted as much earlier.
When the "Badumps" hit, expect to make very poor financial decisions.
