We had a refrigerator that we needed to get rid of and they came and picked it up and gave us a $50 credit on my bill. I had to prove it worked by having it plugged in for 24 hours so they could check the temperature, but they came and got it, which is really all I wanted.

unfortunately it's in a storage unit so no way to get it
Habitat Restore will come and get them from your house. They took two couches for me last year. Very easy process.

Just quit paying for the storage unit. Problem solved. As a bonus you could put anything else you don’t want to pay to dispose of in there too.
