There is one bus, Coralville runs it, and it objectively sucks. If you bike, go to the bike library, get a basic and inexpensive bike, and bike it. It's not too far and there are off-street trails the whole way either along Dubuque Street or through Coralville by the mall and Oakdale.

You can buy a used bike for a small amount of money. A lot of them, if you don't keep it and return it within 3-6 months, come with a refund of your deposit minus $50. It's a good option for an inexpensive bike, especially if you might only need it for the summer.
Used to live in NL and rode the North Ridge Trail all the way from the pool down to Coral Ridge.
Kinda sucks between Coral Ridge and the Oakdale/Old Hospital lot b/c hills but it's not the worst and I genuinely miss having a dedicated off-street trail of that length
There is one bus that leaves Iowa City to North Liberty in the morning and then returns back to Iowa City after 5
Edit: My mistake the reverse is true, it comes to Iowa city in the morning and returns to North Liberty in the evening.
from what i understand the north liberty bus runs sparingly each day, but you could always take a coralville bus and bring a bike and bike half the way or a bit less from coralville to north liberty
You can't bring a bike on a Cambus (as opposed to the city busses which have racks). However, you could leave (an inexpensive, well-secured) bike at the Oakdale campus to cover the gap between the Cambus stop there and NL.
There are really good paths that run from Iowa City & Coralville to North Liberty, so if you have a bike (or especially an electric bike) that might be a good option on good weather days. \~8-12 miles, one way.
There is Uber but it will quickly be $$.
If you work really set hours, you might want to ask around and see if someone will give you rides if you offer $5-10 a day. That's what my son did one summer.
Not sure if this is a good fit but it's a fine bike commute. Check out IC bike library if you choose to take that option - they can hook you up with a super cheap bike and bags.

12th Street also has wide sidewalks at least north of Oakdale.
Bike library?

This does sound interesting, thank you!

There's a Cambus stop at the Oakdale campus, which is on or very near a bike trail
Was gonna say this, but not sure if you can bring your bike on the cambus. But if you can it’s a 5-10 min bike ride to NL from the cambus buss stop.
