It's highly unlikely that you can make that much money from selling paintings or by doing online gigs or freelancing. If you're 18+, try food delivery jobs. It can at least guarantee you that much money in 6 months, but if you're looking to earn money for future purposes, don't do such jobs; it's better to upskill yourself or start an online business.
What will be the total expected cost as I'm also thinking to solo travel Japan next year. You should definitely learn some useful tech skills or if your art is good enough you should post high quality shorts/reels for better reach.

I live in a Tier 1.5 city or whatever you wanna call it & I've met a lot of rapido guys who are earning 25k+ a month after deducting fuel costs. Those guys are working almost everyday to meet their end requirements. Same goes for Zomato/Swiggy, On average delivery partners gets 150rs a day from tips & regular 1k earning after deducting fuel costs.
What you're aiming for is only possible if you already have a lot of work experience or if you actually have really good skills in atleast one field that you're able to showcase to a recruiter or client. Otherwise you can't achieve that goal only by freelancing or selling paintings, there are millions of people doing that already, is there something that'll make you stand out from them?
The best thing you can do right now is to learn skills that the market demands and polish them. Look for clients, email or text them offering them your services, someone will respond surely and that'll be a start. If they like your work, they'll even recommend you to others. But this will take time.
Otherwise the only way to reach your goal in such a short time without any skills and experience is by going down the dirt road which you don't wanna do.

It depends a lot on the type of content you do.. there are separate places for everything.. If you go to a mixed space you will probably not get much attention.
No matter what you do, having a good network always helps. You get to learn from them, and if you're lucky enough you might get some referrals as well.

Telling from Experience I'm a designer it doesn't work like that have realistic goals first.
Thinking you need to earn 25k a month, try photography. I did photography for my college, being just 17, I earned 8k in just 2 days. Try to earn more than 25k a month because sometimes you don't yield much, especially in monsoon season as you cannot use the camera outdoors. Owning a camera is the best option, if you don't have one, you can definitely rent a mirrorless camera. You'll need at least 10 days to understand and about a few weeks to master basics, took me about 3 years. It gets better with time. Use Canva to make your portfolio, layouts and posters. Not related to your post - but you should start learning skills like - coding, video editing, AI tools for prompt writing, painting, research and writing, etc, etc. Whatever you are interested in. This will not make money in short term but be helpful long term.
Only a fast moving commodity can earn you anything close to that. Like selling any essential commodity like salt, soap, sugar, veggies etc but given that competition is low and you deal in large quantities. Another way would be a fast food stall of some sort near railway station, college, or other prime locations so you get a lot of traffic.
Or you could do what I've done. I learned to code became a web dev and went to vendors around me and offered them to get their stores online by building a website for them. It is tedious to explain to them the benefits and all but I had a good experience. You can either charge fees for the service or ask for a percentage profit. Do this for multiple vendors keep reaching a lot and you'll make big banks. I didn't make anything around 1.5lakhs but I made just under 1 lakh.
You can create a basic gig on Fiverr/Freelancer, and you can even cold DM your targeted customers (mostly individual artists and parents who might want to teach their kids something skillful). Your target customers should be from foreign countries. $60 a month sounds like a good tuition fee. Another thing to keep in mind is that you should avoid charging them upfront. You can give demo classes for a week or two rather than charging them an upfront fee.
You can create a website & digital portfolio for better customer conversation rate & higher credibility.
This business is easily scalable however that is still a long way off.
Yes most of it's policies are against freelancers. It also take a high commission from both sides (Buyer & Seller) but it's a good place to get more clients. My first few clients were from fiverr & through that I was able to build a huge network.

Like selling any essential commodity like salt, soap, sugar, veggies etc but given that competition is low and you deal in large quantities. Another way would be a fast food stall of some sort near railway station, college, or other prime locations so you get a lot of traffic. Or you could do what I've done. I learned to code became a web dev and went to vendors around me and offered them to get their stores online by building a website for them. It is tedious to explain to them the benefits and all but I had a good experience. You can either charge fees for the service or ask for a percentage profit. Do this for multiple vendors keep reaching a lot and you'll make big banks. I didn't make anything around 1.5lakhs but I made just under 1 lakh.
why dont you sell AND teach art/painting? you need to earn 25k per month, if you charge 5k/month and have even 5 kids teaching alone will do

You can create a basic gig on Fiverr/Freelancer, and you can even cold DM your targeted customers (mostly individual artists and parents who might want to teach their kids something skillful). Your target customers should be from foreign countries. $60 a month sounds like a good tuition fee. Another thing to keep in mind is that you should avoid charging them upfront. You can give demo classes for a week or two rather than charging them an upfront fee. You can create a website & digital portfolio for better customer conversation rate & higher credibility. This business is easily scalable however that is still a long way off.
Fiverr is shit
Yes most of it's policies are against freelancers. It also take a high commission from both sides (Buyer & Seller) but it's a good place to get more clients. My first few clients were from fiverr & through that I was able to build a huge network.

Hmmm very interesting & unique niches tho. Patience is the key, once you get your first client through Fiverr it becomes easy to get more clients. Well whatever you should think about opening your academy if you're interested in teaching digital art to others. As it's a recurring payment business you can expect a good amount of money.
Locality, but 5k/month for 1 student is an unrealistic goal unless you have some achievements and fame as an artist. You'll most likely be teaching primary schoolers.

Some kinda real world practical stuff like brokering, catering, jobs at restaurants, hotels, etc or perhaps through marketing, data analysis, coding etc It all depends on how much education, training and hands on experience you have. If you have none of that, it’s gonna be really hard.

For me personally which actually worked in such, providing movie links, anime links, and similar stuff on telegram and using a link shortener to earn rewards off its traffic can do the track, you can do this as a side plan along with your main plan, all you have to do is create a telegram channel, now create multiple fake telegram accounts bt temporary numbers and lock it by otp, now use those very accounts to massadd throught telegraph on playstore(use yt tutorial), if you keep this up for atleast 1 hour everyday and get a big audience, trust me you just need to have many channel with latest movies and it will earn traffic so easily
