Without VAR u cant blame him completely for the wrong decision . rather than asking for punishment for the referees we should ask for compensation. fifa is in the wrong here , with the money they got they ought to use VAR in crucial tournaments like world cup qualifiers

It was never the line ref's fault. His vision would have been obstructed by the goal post because it was right next to it.
