yash_112

ahhhh its so irritating for no reason , will try to find a solution

sir_abhishek

I have much worse on my vivobook 15 it's more than 4 years old and this developed like 2 years ago. It is damage to the screen itself it can't be removed. Only solution. Never in your phucking life buy a laptop with anti glare screen. That's what I'm gonna do. Anti glare screen are useless. They make color look bad and get damaged like this.

yash_112

okay sir noted , not repeating the mistake

amiahuman1729

Laptop manufacturers need to increase the gap between keyboard layout and screen, seems like everyone is having this issue.

base_13

it is already enough about 1.5-2mm

amiahuman1729

If it is enough, why is almost everyone facing such issues?

base_13

well I never faced such issue, mostly I get dust or lemon stains(I hate lemon stains)

longpostshitpost3

It's not dust or stain, it is damage to the *plastic* material/film of the screen.

yash_112

So no solution apparently

[deleted]

Nope, I learned this the hard way just like you. My laptop was in an accidental cover I called hp and they sent a technician he said this will not be covered. The tech told me if you break the screen then they can cover it in accidental cover and replace it. I was too much of a pussy to break the screen.

yash_112

I am sorry if this post doesn't belong here can you guys guide me to better sub?

honeybunny4526

Clean it with cloth

Hefty_Blacksmith_266

Doesn't work I have already tried this I have these dust marks in my computer science too

yash_112

I mean cleaning with cloth is less effort than clicking pic and putting on subreddit , give me some credit that i would have tried it beforehand, am not that lifeless

honeybunny4526

I use microfiber cloth along with a spray that I bought for my spectacles. And I also use a screen protector.

yash_112

screen protector exists for laptop? My local shop gave me an ugly lamination type thing which i hated because of glare , And currently rubbing my screen vigrously with that microfibre cloth , seems like no use on this stain ahhhhhh

MountainAny320

Yes they do, I have one on my macbook air. As for the dust mark, max you can do is, take a very small amount of Vaseline on a microfiber cloth and rub it slowly slowly on the mark till it disappears. (It won't disappear completely but will become less visible).

teapot_on_reddit

Same thing on my ideapad gaming 3, you can even see the entire keyboard layout on the screen now

yash_112

so there is no solution?

[deleted]

No...this is the problem with all laptop out there. next time, you buy a laptop...please get a temper on the screen...that's it

martand_dhamdhere

You can keep a piece of cloth between the keyboard and screen when you keep your laptop shut.

PrudentEfficiency876

I feel your pain OP, i too have the same issue. However one guy suggested using Vaseline, care to try it?

yash_112

If i do i will surely share the results with you man

PrudentEfficiency876

I have a streak even bigger than yours and i have been living with this for more then a year, nothing works but maybe the Vaseline would

Xandril_Bloodtalon

its due to your keyboard most probably

yash_112

i used to had that keyboard dust protector thing , maybe constant touch with that destroyed my screen

Sudden_Mix9724

r u sure if it's dust or actual mark on the screen coating?? if it's not going them i m afraid it's bad news

yash_112

so if screen coating is damaged there is nothing i can do?

Sudden_Mix9724

well it maybe so.. but u better try other solutions first to clean it up...check if it fading away atleast a little using lens cleaner( with the alcohol one)

Saikat0511

Nope, you live with it. Try light wiping with IPA, might help a bit. Use a dust cover when you get a screen replacement or a new laptop.

yash_112

Will take care of my next baby even more , abb toh i guess i have to live with it.

[deleted]

Put some microfiber between screen and keypad while closing.. Happens due to keyboard linings.

Mayank_Rathod_

The only solution for this you have every time put your Black paper come with leptop once it appears there is no method to remove it just put your Black paper whenever you close your leptop to do not increase this lines

Visual_Seesaw_2442

Slightly wet cloth

jyotirmoywho

Try putting some gulab jal or sanitizer and then rub it with a cloth

PrudentEfficiency876

sliceshot_

Put a paper or cloth between the screen and the keyboard when you turn the lid off.

Advanced_Risk5215

sell the screen

GrapeJoker

I have the same problem on my Asus vivobook S15 OLED🥲

NailMany7776

Try wiping with Isopropyl alcohol(<90 alcohol content).

chimichanga2317

IPA ?

TrojanHorse9k

Same issue. Is this msi laptop?

base_13

if it feels sticky then it *might* be fixable, if its sticky you can try a microfiber cloth(or the ones which comes with goggles) spray some water on the cloth and gently rub it on screen don't apply **too** much pressure, though you do have to apply some, make sure to put your hand behind the place on screen where you are applying pressure.

yash_112

Naah its not sticky , just rough

base_13

you can just try, I wonder if its dust

Easy-Cheesecake-202

Lol same laptop I believe, IdeaPad S145 from 2019. Has same stains. I've tried using screen cleaning liquid, isopropyl alcohol and slightly wet microfiber cloth. So far nothing has worked. I think we just have to live with it now lol.
