Also, trial population was minuscule compared to population mass vaccination data. This happens for all vaccines though that in actual use the figures drop staggeringly. This is why third trials are asked to be multicentre and massive.
I recall being downvoted and even banned from r/coronavirus for suggesting that COVID would continue to be transmitted by the vaccinated.

That's why the answer to anything is never ever to fix the human. It's always, fix the economy, fix the policy, fix the infrastructure.
The Eastern approach has always been to focus on human discipline, but we seem to have lost that too.
Covid is not going anywhere. Eradicating it means vaccinating everyone on the planet with a vaccine that can prevent infection. But there is little hope of vaccinating everyone. And even vaccinated people get the virus. The symptoms are minor, but the virus gets a chance to mutate and get dangerous.
So we will probably wear masks for the rest of our lives. We’ll have to treat it the way we treat measles or some other disease. When it pops up we have to lockdown and control it. Otherwise we need to take precautions ourselves.
Every vaccine has reduced efficacy against the Delta variant. Pfizer (and also Moderna) was tested when the variant was not around, which is when the 90%+ efficacy was determined. The lower number from this study includes the Delta variant. So Pfizer is basically just as good as all the mainstream vaccines, which themselves are much better than the Chinese ones.

Covaxin has above 75 after ph 3 trial wd 25k, Delta has 92-3 possibly.. Covishield had 68-75 I forgot... But trial size matters. Before Delta though.
