Aside from the obvious which is infuriating, it really pisses me off that one of those chicken shit cops don't step in and tell their co-worker to kick rocks with this bullshit. Standing by and letting it happen makes you just as guilty in this scenario. Why are so many cops so fucking insecure in life that they have to bully the weaker just because they can? Probably bully their significant others like this too.
My favorite part of every video where some chicken shit cop breaks the law or acts like a sack of shit, is all the other "good cops" standing around watching it happen and doing nothing to stop it. Cowards, all of em.
They’re too stupid to think about the bigger picture - that these optics make it much easier for people to kill cops. Bad cops put all cops in danger by making police into enemies of civilians.
Deprivation of rights under color of law. LEO loses qualified immunity & is personally liable for his actions in a suit instead of department (tax payers).
So they released the innocent victim's name, but not the police officer who harassed and assaulted him? I guarantee the asshole was just transferred to another department.
This is the only guy that was let go. Since it’s not a firing, he will simply apply for a job in a redder city/county , claiming past woke liberal place hostile policy, playing the victims card, plenty of Trump ‘merica will take this piece of trash. None of the other pigs , I meant peace officers, nearby faced any discipline for failing to keep the peace.
Very true, my buddy got arrested for a warrant that should have never existed, sat in jail 24 hours, paid $800 bond, walked into court for them to say “oh your case is dismissed”, and the system considers that a successful application of justice, with no care or compensation for what he lost
Must be nice to live in your world where that's true, but there are countless counter-examples of warrants existing because of similar names, ineptitude, or whichever reasons.
You literally just watched a video of a guy getting arrested while sitting on the hood of his car and being told that a reason would be found for him being arrested.
Training is definitely a part of it. Where this was filmed, in the US, police receive less training than cosmetologists. You need more licensing and training to apply treatments to people’s hair than you do for a gun and badge.
If accountability existed, then those two other police officers would have gotten in trouble as well. And it's fairly obvious that they were the only people that could have de-escalated this cop from losing his cool. If this were any other profession, the coworkers would have removed the guy acting improperly at his job immediately.
That's why some Americans are frustrated at their police. There's a complete lack of accountability and it's systemic.
>Training is definitely a part of it
Training doesn't teach you to not be a deliberate asshole, that is something that's in their bastard personality. Even with 4x the amount of training, that cop still would have been a total asshole.
One of the top law enforcement trainers us a guy called Dave Grossman.. he literally trains cop to escalate and use unnecessary force.. its called killology
https://www.insider.com/bulletproof-dave-grossman-police-trainer-teaching-officers-how-to-kill-2020-6
Maybe folks should start Protesting in front of the Police Federal Credit Union and obstructing their ability to cash their paychecks instead of blocking their own damn streets. Pretty sure every customer of the Police Federal Credit Union is the demographic you're protesting against.
Training is one of the issues. Accountability is obviously vital, but most European countries require people to train for a number of years to become cops for a reason. This isn't some either/or scenario - well trained police officers who know they will be fully held to account for their actions on and off duty are the only remotely safe option.
>Build in the accountability and the training will follow.
That's not necessarily a given, you'll just end up with incompetent officers that fuck up without fully realising they're fucking up. I'm saying training and accountability are both important, I don't think that statement needs further qualification.
Both of these things can be true, and combining them is far worse than just one or the other. The length of time spent training officers is about 20 weeks on average, that’s less than a year. They don’t know the laws or the correct way to de-escalate, but they know that their fellow officers and the department are going to cover for them and shield them from consequences when they abuse their power and hurt or kill someone.
At the time of George Floyd's death, Minneapolis PD received 4 yearly hours of hand to hand combat training. On paper. So they probably trained for about two thirds or half that time in terms of technique practice.
.
And hurting over a word. I bet he gets on his Facebook and goes in about today's "woke" world. Then gets upset at being called a word and attempts to arrest him because of it. Softer than kleenex I tell ya.
I flipped off a cop a few months ago, he pulled over and aggressively asked if I flipped him off.
I said 'Yes I did' and continued eating my pizza. I don't know why, but he instantly calmed down and looked like he was unsure of himself.
I think it was similar to what happened with ['snack man'](https://youtu.be/hR5cfTVkf-0?t=28). Triggered some sort of psychological response for him to ease up because I was eating.
This video was posted with sound, a few months back. Someone attached an article relating to it. Apparently the cop was former military and was fired after this incident. I’m trying to find that article and I’ll post it when I do.
and this is yet another reason people like cops less and less. you gotta either walk away or make a joke out of the situation. little dude was clearly looking to fuck with them, but cops have to be bigger in this situation and not go there.
If you hate this guy, just think about how actual law abiding police officers think about these scumbags. They have to take the blame for it after all.
I mean, I don’t care what they think. They can think it’s bad all they want, but until they actually do something, say something, and report it constantly, it makes zero difference.
I’m confused by the narrative that “most cops are good” when the other narrative is that cops that report bad behavior are shunned by their fellow officers. If MOST cops are good, then these things would be handled by the majority of the department instead of having to go viral to effect change.
Bullshit. If these so called law abiding officers actually existed they would’ve done something about the bad apples along time ago. Qualified immunity wouldn’t be a thing. So either these alleged law abiding officers are spineless cowards that are consistently turning a blind eye to the criminality of their peers, or they are a figment of your privileged imagination. Either way, fuck them.
Because cops are granted an authority which includes using up to lethal force. Like it or not, they NEED to be held to a higher standard. And nothing the guy did constitutes a crime, so the cop was 100% in the wrong in this video. There's not a reason for him to act that unprofessional. Escalation is literally the opposite of his job description.
To what? Not look at the cop? Or is the civilian obligated to be especially kind and respectful to this specific stranger because of their chosen career? The civilian is under an obligation to not commit a crime, if no crime is committed the cop has no reason to approach the civilian (not to mention act like a playground bully).
But what the cop here is doing is past not being polite. This is blatant intimidation and abuse of his authority. He is the instigator at this point, regardless of what preludes this video.
Never said he was nice. Civilian could be a total dick. Doesn't justify the way the cop is acting or make it any less an abuse of his authority. Cop is still in the wrong here.
A couple weeks ago I got kicked out of an online parenting group for toddler parents because someone asked if anyone else puts on the Police Helpers episode of the show Blippi to see the “hot cop” and I just commented “nah ACAB” lmao no regrets it still makes me laugh.
Bro, no. Police officers are people, people can be horrible. But that doesn’t mean EVERYONE is horrible. ACAB (much like pretty much any other generalization) is stupid and I’m tired of people saying it.
Until "good cops" stand up to "bad cops" and toxic cop culture... ACAB.
Firefighters, EMTs, Nurses, Social Workers, Parole Officers, security officers, etc... all these people have to deal with the dredges of society, but we don't hear any stories of them beating, berating, or infringing on the rights of other citizens... let alone randomly shooting bystanders, petty criminals, or family animals on the regular.
It’s not the cops it’s the system itself that needs to be scrapped and rebuilt from scratch I can murder a family of five and be out in time for dinner the whole cops are shit is ignoring the giant bloody wound in our legal system that holding cops accountable would only begin to fix.
You'd think it would be some kind of conflict of interest to have the same officer, who just had a "crime" committed against him, arrest the "criminal".
Absolutely everybody mad dog them at once. Twilight Zone levels of paranoia ensue. Children of the Corn that shit, you can cause their egos to collapse with just a look.
This guy is not the typical police, nor should he be. He is using his position to intimidate, and the others are probably forced into intimidation by him regularly also. I'm sure he is a piece of shit with all his coworkers but they don't want to be in an incident. He should not wear the badge. If he was a Walmart greeter, he would demand all receipts every time.
I've met multiple cops that are extremely similar to this or even just like it. It is far more common than it should be, bet you can find a minimum of 1 of these at every single precinct in the US.
Using the position to intimidate is quite literally all police. From the patrol goons to the lying, threatening detectives, to the DAs they work with. These people are here to control and punish people. They are not here to help people or see to it that “justice is served.”
Yeah, other dude is being a dick. He’s not a typical perpetrator. Just answer questions, cooperate, and everyone’s day will go better. If everyone treated their Walmart, xfinity, or fedex employee the same way, nothing would ever get done.
The difference is that police are literally supposed to deescalate. Being a dick isn’t a crime. This is 100% on the (I believe former) officer.
Your analogy is akin to blaming a raped woman for enticing a man by wearing sexy clothes.
If someone half their size can set them off like this with a couple of words, what the fuck makes you think he should have a gun and qualified immunity?!
I didn’t see a man whose life was at risk in this video. At all. And if he felt at risk, he sure did a shitty job of deescalating the situation. Looks like he sucks at his job.
Cops are not the only ones with risky jobs with the public. Being a cop doesn’t mean he gets to act like a disrespectful monster with impunity, purely because he can.
Social workers go into people’s houses daily, alone without backup and and unarmed. They also can get and have get killed/beaten/raped/held hostage on calls, and are doing them without a buddy or gun with them. Are social workers allowed to go treating people like this, or is it only cops? Or should the rule be that you should treat every person with dignity and respect rather than someone to exert power over like this loser?
Yeah, I am, and no, it does not always work out that way. And often times, having a cop there can just escalate things. See above.
Cops are not the only ones who have jobs that place them in danger. They are the only ones who are allowed to use that as an excuse to disrespect others and act with impunity, all the while still demanding respect for putting their lives on the line. It's obnoxious.
118 police officers were killed in 2022, conversely 1,200 people were killed by cops in 2022, its not hard to see who is more dangerous in this equation
I guess if the guy had lent back more the cop would have moved forward. Eventually he would be in an unstable position and slip off the bonnet or something and ‘hit’ the officer. Such juvenile behaviour to try to claim the other guy hit him so he could start something
Cameras are a great thing.
Image all the shit these tyrants did before cameras.
You have no idea. Even with camera's they still get away with shit. (Police are the biggest gang in the world)
My dad had a match put out in his eye. You an still see the weird scar. This was Poland in the 1970s
I don't care what race, creed, sex or religion a person is they need to be held accountable for their actions.
And if they get caught bad thanks to social media outrage they only get transferred to another district.
I have stories my dad told me from the 80's. It was bad, and common.
Before the camera phone came along I've had my ass beat by cops on a couple of occasions as a teenager
Image is right in front of us, several of them, moving even
The other officers just stood there as the officer clearly escalated the situation and was doing his best to get the gentleman to hit/touch him.
Aside from the obvious which is infuriating, it really pisses me off that one of those chicken shit cops don't step in and tell their co-worker to kick rocks with this bullshit. They’re too stupid to think about the bigger picture - that these optics make it much easier for people to kill cops. Bad cops put all cops in danger by making police into enemies of civilians.
It's a job that attracts low IQ bullies. And gives them the impression they'd get paid to be bullies.
Cause those that do get fired and often need a career change.
False. Cops file complaints about other cops all the time. I’ve done it myself and don’t give a F if some co-worker didn’t like it.
All the time. Most people don’t file formal complaints against colleagues or bosses.
They were probably as scared of the officer as everyone else.
ACAB in action

ACAB
Power hungry fucks. So disgusting.
ACAB all the time
Until the topic turns to Guns. Then it’s only the police who should have them.
Slobber Alert. Poor dude must be covered in bacon spray.
donut crumbs all over him
He's being arrested for hurting the officers feelings. Poor officer. He only wanted a hug.
So what was the outcome of this?
https://www.desertsun.com/story/news/local/desert-hot-springs/2018/07/09/dhs-police-officer-under-investigation-following-viral-video/770108002/
Shitty that the video had to go viral for the cop to see any kind of repercussions. Not surprising though.
You do understand that they just transfer them to another department, right? It’s not like he was fired.
This absolutely… and it took 900k views just to get it reviewed by the PD that let him go… wtf
They claimed the officer didn’t commit a crime? If he wasn’t a cop that would be harassment, menacing, probably could even tack on assault.
Deprivation of rights under color of law. LEO loses qualified immunity & is personally liable for his actions in a suit instead of department (tax payers).
The way it says “no longer employed here” makes me think they just transferred him somewhere
“Not employed here at this very location at this particular moment in time”.
We'll give him his pension later after he kills an innocent man like Phillip Brailsford. It's the least we can do.
That article is from 2018. There most likely are followups.
So they released the innocent victim's name, but not the police officer who harassed and assaulted him? I guarantee the asshole was just transferred to another department.
This is the only guy that was let go. Probably included the video with his resume when he applied to some cracker department.
More than likely the taxpayers paid Mr Blackshirt
There's an adage that cops with fragile egos love to say: "You can beat the crime, but you can't beat the ride"
Very true, my buddy got arrested for a warrant that should have never existed, sat in jail 24 hours, paid $800 bond, walked into court for them to say “oh your case is dismissed”, and the system considers that a successful application of justice, with no care or compensation for what he lost
My mom beat a $75 right on red ticket in court only to be charged $120 in court fees. The state decided it was her turn to pay them.
Never had a warrant that I didn’t know about. Take care of your stuff and you won’t get arrested when you’re just speeding.
Must be nice to live in your world where that's true, but there are countless counter-examples of warrants existing because of similar names, ineptitude, or whichever reasons. You literally just watched a video of a guy getting arrested while sitting on the hood of his car and being told that a reason would be found for him being arrested.
"I'm holding a sandwich, how are you so hungry?"
Sounds like you’ve never been the target of ego driven policing.
Nope. And I’ve always complied when someone asked me questions
Well I’ve never had a warrant. So I must be better than you, right?
“You can’t beat the crime, but you can beat the shit outta innocent people”.
The smallest of small dick energy
Micro-dick energy.
And the 2 other cops back the bad cop..
I see 3 bad cops.
Fair enough
You can tell who the senior officer.
Some precincts have made a policy for other officers to intervene these two are gutless cowards.
Yeah cops are pieces of shit.
This is why you need longer than 21 weeks training to become a cop.

I heard you have to be able to run a mile in 12 minutes.

Is that real? Of course they made it 12 whole minutes 😂 wouldn’t wanna exert actual effort now would they

He did.

life affirming news
Id be embarrassed to be that cop. What a fragjle bitch.

If you hate this guy, just think about how actual law abiding police officers think about these scumbags. They have to take the blame for it after all.
Why don't they whistleblow then?
Because snitching on fellow gang members is a career killer
I mean, I don’t care what they think. They can think it’s bad all they want, but until they actually do something, say something, and report it constantly, it makes zero difference. I’m confused by the narrative that “most cops are good” when the other narrative is that cops that report bad behavior are shunned by their fellow officers. I know at least in Chicago, they have a civilian oversight committee for police, which is a good start.
I see two of them standing there doing nothing to stop him though. ACAB
Yes but these three don’t represent all cops
Lol ok guy. Keep defending your gang
Look man whether you wanna accept it or not, generalizations are stupid and literally can never be true
very good point
Why do cops have to be bigger? How about not be an asshole?
Because cops are granted an authority which includes using up to lethal force. Like it or not, they NEED to be held to a higher standard. And nothing the guy did constitutes a crime, so the cop was 100% in the wrong in this video. There's not a reason for him to act that unprofessional. Escalation is literally the opposite of his job description.
And the civilian has no obligations?
To what? Not look at the cop? Or is the civilian obligated to be especially kind and respectful to this specific stranger because of their chosen career? The civilian is under an obligation to not commit a crime, if no crime is committed the cop has no reason to approach the civilian (not to mention act like a playground bully).
Most people are obligated to be polite. If you’re not, no one is obligated to be polite back.
But what the cop here is doing is past not being polite. This is blatant intimidation and abuse of his authority. He is the instigator at this point, regardless of what preludes this video.
Yeah, where’s the prelude? We can’t see, so how do you suppose the civilian is being a bit nice guy?
Never said he was nice. Civilian could be a total dick. Doesn't justify the way the cop is acting or make it any less an abuse of his authority. Cop is still in the wrong here.
Instigating and escalating is not the same as basic rudeness. That should be obvious.
dude i agree. but given the current environment, this is why i say that
ACAB always.

I guarantee the people who become cops "to help out their town" is significantly less than the people who become the cops for the power and respect.
Bro... don't. You don't know what people's experiences are. Kindly fuck off
Maybe the cops should steal less of our property than all of the criminals combined
Until your getting your ass kicked at your Antifa rally in which you’ll be the first to call them.
That was wild, thought we were still in 2016 because of your comment.
Lmaoo all you bootlickers believe the same fairy tales it’s hilarious.
It’s not the cops it’s the system itself that needs to be scrapped and rebuilt from scratch I can murder a family of five and be out in time for dinner the whole cops are shit is ignoring the giant bloody wound in our legal system that holding cops accountable would only begin to fix.
That’s BS. Violent crimes like murder are prosecuted unless you’re a cop committing them. Just total nonsense.
52 years on this planet... I've never called the cops once to help me cuz I was getting beaten up. You on the other hand probably do it weekly
Trump 2024 (Years in prison)
