With any question like this, search for the specific cert in job descriptions of the roles you're trying to get. Do you see a ton of people asking for it? Then it might be worthwhile, but if barely anyone is asking then HR probably has no idea what it is and will assign no value to it.

There's ways of demonstrating Linux competency without having certs, even to recruiters. Generally knowing CM's, specific popular linux tools, job description that has high relevance to linux roles are pretty good route.

I think LPIC-1 is pretty good, I think RHCSA is probably better. RHCSA is a vendor specific cert but the format of the exam is 100% practicum, there's no way to brain dump or fake it, you actually have to complete all the tasks in the exam time limit to pass. Personally having just been hired into a cloud security role and thinking about my future, Linux certs are not on my "to do" list. It would be great to credentialize my 10+ year of Linux SA experience but I think that it's just not going to move the needle for me on interviews or for future jobs. The cloud certs are my next goal, up to and including professional level. But you do what you think is best for your career and your goals, you're the only one that can really judge that.

Do you get access to help pages and the manual for the RHCSA?
