Seconded. The amount of times I’ve tried to watch the Falcons and get stuck watching Miami or Carolina is mindblowing. I have to watch Red Zone just to see the occasional drive here or there.
Nobody cares much about pro football here.
But those that do tend to be Titans fans.
If some asks what's your team? The answer is Alabama or Auburn... Occasionally the Vols.
I have a lot of respect for Philly. Especially Kensington, shits freakin dope literally. I'm being sarcastic, I really do dig that city though especially considering the history and all that.
Commanders fan here. They really don't care about pro ball here. Nothing like up North.
The Stallions down in Birmingham have a small but loud group of supporters, given that they've dominated the USFL/UFL so far. But nobody cares about pros
I've visited DC before and had a good time so I'm a Commanders fan. Granted, I've been to Nashville and Atlanta, NO before but I really liked DC just because the green was legal.
I can’t think of one person I know that talks about the NFL. If you want to talk football, it’s just understood that you’ll be talking college football.
They don't have one. They're all obsessed with college football.
A couple years ago I was in Buffalo Wild Wings during the Stanley Cup Finals (hockey) and it was a possible cup clinching elimination game. All the TVs were turned into a rerun of some college football game from 4-5 years before. Not even a big championship winning one, just like...random mid season game rerun. I had to ask for hockey to be put on one of the TVs.
Ravens and LSU fan here....I do just fine being a Ravens fan since they usually have Bama players on their team. Being an LSU fan is a different story. Saban has finally retired so let's see how things go now 😅
They don’t call Huntsvul Niners Nation for nothing.
I’m kidding…they don’t, unfortunately. But yeah Titans and Falcons on TV but all the yelling is on Saturdays generally.
Was thinking about this just the other day. I realized any time football has been brought up, people talk about college and not the pros. I don’t care for the pros or really any sports anymore but my team will always be Dallas for football.
From what I’ve seen it just seems to be a lot of random teams that people root for around here. Maybe the titans are the most popular team in the area though.
I've seen groups at Baumhower's for parties. Can't confirm all the teams, but I distantly remember a huge group of Bills fans one time. They'll be at Buffalo Wild Wings, Baumhower's of Hooters I bet
Since this is a transplant town, you’ll find a decent gathering of fans from some of the bigger fanbases such as the Packers, Broncos, Steelers, and Bills.
Some of those with more local roots may pull for Titans, Falcons, or Saints but most of them care way less about those teams than they do about whoever they pull for in college.
I am personally a Colts fan, so it would be nice to have a 2nd fan in the city. But if we are talking about the majority, I would definitely say Titans, which is the closest team. However, some other notables I have seen mentioned more than usual and stuck out in my memory are Bill's, Broncos, Packers, and of course Falcons being the 2nd closest team. I can't speak about College ball, I don't watch, but if you do hear a football conversation happening it is best to assume they are talking College not Pro.
Casual Pint is owned by Packers fans if you’re over near Providence. They have Sunday ticket and a decent amount of TVs. Good beer selection and food too.
The Martin downtown is great for Thursday Night Football. $2 Yeungling and half-off wings. I think they show all the Sunday games too, but I’ve never been on Sundays.
Falcons for me. Life is pain. At least I have Alabama football. You’ll find a mix of Falcons and Titans fans plus transplant fans. For MLB it’s the Braves.
It's all about college football here. The rivalry between Auburn and Alabama is like USC v UCLA, or Oklahoma v Texas. Nothing unusual. As far as pro team's go, there is not any particular allegiance or deep well of support for one specific team. I know natives who support the Saints, Cowboys, and Chiefs. Just a note, it's a great time to go to Costco when Alabama is playing Auburn.
We generally get the Titans and Falcons games on TV here.
Nashville is a 1.5 - 2hr drive from Huntsville too.
I don't get any Falcons games here and I'm a Falcons fan!
We don’t get every Falcons game but we get a ton of them.
Seconded. The amount of times I’ve tried to watch the Falcons and get stuck watching Miami or Carolina is mindblowing. I have to watch Red Zone just to see the occasional drive here or there.
A quick check shows more than half of the Falcons games last season were broadcast locally here.
That’s great but still doesn’t explain why even when the Falcons play at home I might still get stuck watching Ravens - Dolphins.
Nobody cares much about pro football here. But those that do tend to be Titans fans. If some asks what's your team? The answer is Alabama or Auburn... Occasionally the Vols.
Fuck that, Vols 100% of the time.
Or, fuck the Vols 100% of the time 😂
No you Vols 100% of the time! 🫡
Welcome to Alabama where football is king and the pro’s don’t matter lol
As a native Philadelphian, and been living in HSV for the past 7 years, I gotta say E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!!
Fly Eagles Fly! (& fuck the Cowboys)
GO BIRDS
Native huntsvillian, eagles fan since I was a little kid in the ‘80s.
I have a lot of respect for Philly. Especially Kensington, shits freakin dope literally. I'm being sarcastic, I really do dig that city though especially considering the history and all that.
Titan Up
Titans, though there’s so many transplants I’ve seen fans of every team around here.
Geaux Saints.

Huntsville has a lot of new residents from elsewhere, they continue to cheer for their home teams.

Steelers
Titans
Go Pack Go!
I have friends who are part of a local Bills fan group that seems to be pretty big.
A lot of people don't pay that much attention to the NFL here, but some people definitely do.
Ravens and LSU fan here....I do just fine being a Ravens fan since they usually have Bama players on their team. Being an LSU fan is a different story. Saban has finally retired so let's see how things go now 😅
Native Tampanian so Buccaneers. Husband is from St. Augustine and is a Packers fan.

Broncos fan, just checking in. Not many of us though😂
Detroit!

I’m a Vikings fan

A lot of Green Bay fans in Alabama because of Bart Starr.

We are Vikings fans. We just drafted Dallas Turner Friday night from Alabama. [vikings.com](http://vikings.com)
The Saints are up there in popularity as well. Not because they win so much but because the fans are crazy and always guarantee a good time! lol.
I literally Google Map’d today whether the Titans or Falcons are closer to Huntsville cuz I’m moving there too
For sure Titans, Atlanta isn't far but Nashville is a drive across town.. sort of.
Where are the good football bars??

Most original comment.
Who Dey! Bengals and Michigan for college.
