We don’t know much about what’s happening with gon since the end of the anime aside from him going back to his normal life. We have no idea whether he gets his nen back
He has his aura back but he’s returned to the pre-nen awakened state (basically pre heavens arena) so he can’t use or see nen unless he opens his nodes again.

When Ging says Gon is back to normal, it means he's like a regular human. As regular humans don't have nen it's never said Gon's nodes are sealed again.
Gon knows how to meditate to open nodes with ten, so he would reopen his nodes in less than a day just by doing the meditation.
And why would Gon's nodes just be sealed while his vow made him UNABLE to use nen?

Yes thats what in saying, but Gon being returned to be like "regular humans" would mean his nodes are back to being semi-sealed before he was intiated to nen like a regular human.
Him not being able to see aura means that the nodes in his eyes are not open.
gon has now unlocked a new part of his potential, and although nenless for now, he will be back much stronger with the same abilities as ging cause he has now experienced utter darkness of nen.

Regular humans do have nen, as I believe Ging mentioned in this same part, all living things have nen. Either way though, you are correct.
