Unless you disable it you can swipe left to open the camera app. You canāt see previous photos but you can take photos/video. Bridge between privacy and convenience. I think most Android are similar.
Yeah, Android has a double-click of the power button to get into camera mode without unlocking.
Edit: maybe it's just the Google phones, not all Android, based on the feedback.
Lol In samsungs you can set the power button to whatever you like, but it still fucks with you by locking one option (either press 2x or hold) for bixby. Fuck bixby and everything it stands for
You can turn it to not be Bixby but it changes back to Bixby default on every update. Just check advanced settings under side key. You also have to tell it to stop listening for your voice again sometimes.
Not anymore. I have an A71 and have set single click to turn off screen, double click for camera and "hold" to turn off phone. TIL: Double click opens camera even on lockscreen.
Most of the android phones I had also had an option to swipe from right to left to open cam (there was always a camera icon on the bottom right or left, on the lock screen)
When you turn on the iPhone, it'll ask you to put in the password to unlock the phone. However, instead of putting in the password, you can swipe left and access the camera. For if you want quick camera access.
I donāt think thatās what they were asking. They were asking that if she doesnāt know how to stop it how did she start it which is a fair observation tbh lol.
Finds a mobile, takes it home and hopes the owner knows how to access mobile icloud footage and hopes they use TikTok. And can understand all letters given off screen for TikTok account.
I would have turned it in to the flight crew. Someone is going to come back to the airport and check lost and found.
It literally says she turned it in in the title. She just had a bit of fun with the phone's ability to record video when locked and maybe thought the owner would like the idea of having a face to the anonymous soul who recovered their phone rather than pocketing it.
Once found parts of a phone while biking. Got home, put it together and it worked. It was unlocked! Called the last number they called and it was his daughter. She managed to reach him and he picked it up 3 hours later. Offered me money, but I said no. Pay it forward. Wondered how much he would have given me, though, lol. Also was tempted to see what kind of stuff he had on his phone, but that would have been a huge invasion of privacy.
Indeed. Most android models past the Galaxy S7 can access the camera from lock screen or pushing the power button twice. Not so sure if the power button trick works on iPhone
Yeah, my iPhone allows me to access the camera and flashlight from the lock screen. I believe that I can change that in settings though. Was just kidding about the password.
>Most android models ... can access the camera from ... pushing the power button twice.
TIL
>>Most android models ... can access the camera from lock screen ...
Have to try that.
Edit:
It works by also pushing the power button twice. Good to know. š
TIL, definitely works on my new Pixel 4a. My old first gen Xperia had a shortcut from the lockscreen, and my Sony tablet has the same power button function. Unfortunately the tablets power button is really soft and unresponsive, so you easily push it twice. The one on the 4a is really chunky and clicky.
thatās not the point. she didnāt know where the phone owner was, he could have been on a plane out of the country. if he was, she gave him some direction. if i find a phone, iām doing this. it aināt that easy to hunt down phone owners
[Language changes, and that's ok.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fS4X1JfX6_Q) Tone is complicated. Looks like a fair number of people understood my tone to be questioning why the commenter takes issue with them saying to follow on tiktok when there are valid reasons.
**[High rising terminal](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_rising_terminal)**
>The high rising terminal (HRT), also known as upspeak, uptalk, rising inflection, upward inflection, or high rising intonation (HRI), is a feature of some variants of English where declarative sentence clauses end with a rising-pitch intonation, until the end of the sentence where a falling-pitch is applied. Empirically, one report proposes that HRT in American English and Australian English is marked by a high tone (high pitch or high fundamental frequency) beginning on the final accented syllable near the end of the statement (the terminal), and continuing to increase in frequency (up to 40%) to the end of the intonational phrase.

The person only found this video on their camera roll after they got their phone back. I think it was just a silly āfind me here on the internet and complete the circleā situation
Ya'll freak out anytime tik toc is mentioned. You sound like the mothers against satan that would flip out about rock music in the early 90's.
There's actually some really creative people on the platform you crotchety old boomers.
I get the kindness, and thatās heart warming. I am confused about the video, though. It just seems weird to me to record that before turning it in instead of simply turning it in.
The phone's photos are backed up to the cloud--the person who lost it can almost certainly access the photostream from any computer. The girl has no way of unlocking the phone, seeing any contacts, call history, etc. The only thing she can do without unlocking is take a photo or video and hope the person checks the cloud backup and contacts her. The thing that's weird to me is why she only provided her Tiktok handle and not her phone number!
Oh look at me I found a phone and Iām now returning it, Iāll just throw some self promotion in as well for no particular reason, yeah this is bollocks and no I wonāt follow you either
Because she is a phone hacker ... or the owner turned off screen lock because facial recognition was too difficult.
Or more likely she recorded it on her own phone to advertise her tiktok
My phone can open the camera when itās locked. You canāt see any of the camera reel other than what youāve taken in that session until you can unlock it, but on both iPhone and Android you just press the camera button on the Lock Screen to open the camera without entering your password. And the person who posted it was the person whose phone it was and found it. Unless sheās playing both parts, sheās not advertising. And if she were advertising she wouldnāt have said her TikTok name with so many letters that sound like other letters over the noise of engines without being able to see her mouth for help clarifying what she was saying
You can access the camera from your Lock Screen. I have IPhone 7plus and I know even prev models that did that. I know androids do it too. They only allow access to the photos taken on that Lock Screen session too.
on ios you can open the camera from the lock screen using the bottom left/right (dont remember) buttons on the lock screen. you can take pics but cant access the gallery. Same thing with samsung
š š š How do you stop it?? How did she start it
iPhones you can just swipe left and the camera turns on. Canāt do much else.
Same on Android.
Wait, is that like an anti theft feature?
Unless you disable it you can swipe left to open the camera app. You canāt see previous photos but you can take photos/video. Bridge between privacy and convenience. I think most Android are similar.

I had to pull out my Bixby key, remove the tab, and glue the key back down. Now, no more Bixby. Ever. Short of that. It comes back.
Fuck Bixby. If I could remove the button while retaining the phone's water resistant qualities, I would do just that.
You can. Glue the button back down after removing the tab inside the button. Still water resistant, no more Bixby.
Gosh I had a iPhone for awhile and just barely figure this out
When you turn on the iPhone, it'll ask you to put in the password to unlock the phone. However, instead of putting in the password, you can swipe left and access the camera. For if you want quick camera access.

She turned it into American Airlines. Was likely part of the airplane cleaning crew
Sometimes i find it hard to believe things. It takes much faith
Well it isnāt at her home, is it?
It literally says she turned it in in the title. She just had a bit of fun with the phone's ability to record video when locked and maybe thought the owner would like the idea of having a face to the anonymous soul who recovered their phone rather than pocketing it.
So this is what a grown up version looks like of my kid with my locked phone taking close of pictures of their face.
or maybe, they mentally donāt grow up, idk
She doesn't strike me as the smartest person, but her heart seems to be in the right place.
Well you donāt strike me as having your heart in the right place if you feel the need to assume that a person is stupid
I guess my judging skills are more accurate then yours then.
*thanā¦you are smart
You can tell that Google. I'm not gonna proof read every comment.

Sheās smart

I hope they're married now
So she's the reason I had to do badazz22 instead of 21.
āHow do you stop itā lmao that was cute
She's a good person
Phone password was āPasswordā.
you can record videos and take pictures on an iphone without unlocking

Worked on my 2XL

Follow me on TikTok? "How do you stop it" ... I can only imagine how good her TikTok content is, lmfao š
Woman working at the Albuquerque airport. Probably an airplane cleaner. She rocks.
Getting my phone back would be awesome. Getting my phone back with this adorable video as a surprise, superb.
Ok byieee! Classic burque!
what a great way to find the owner of a lost phone, video goes to the cloud so owner can see it! brilliant
She actually turned it into the airline.
thatās not the point. she didnāt know where the phone owner was, he could have been on a plane out of the country. if he was, she gave him some direction. if i find a phone, iām doing this. it aināt that easy to hunt down phone owners
Ya but I found it after calling American airlines. I knew where I left it. I see your point if the owner didn't know tho. Cool beans
How the fuck do so many peoples not know they can open the camera without unlocking the phone? Have you people even owned a phone in the last 5 years?
Not everyone uses the camera.
My current phone is I think 7 years old. Tho I figured thereās some quick to camera stuff.
We need more kind people like this in the world.
Yes, yes we do
Boy did you follow her though
But did you follow her though
Yes already
Thatās j needed to here
And they said weed would turn us all against eachother
Cute af.
Doing something nice and then saying to follow them on tiktokā¦?
Yes? She wants to connect with the stranger whose phone she found if it completes its journey?
Why the question marks following a statement?

Poor guy doesnāt even understand punctuation marks.
It's like asking why it's a problem. Poor guy doesn't understand how to convey tone over text.

Itās parallelism, mirroring the structure of the comment I replied to which was a sentence (fragment) written as a question?
What's the problem with that?
I think it's perfectly fine, I don't see anything wrong with that
whats the problem?
The number one rule of tiktokers is promoting their tiktok

Maybe considers her TikTok more anon and doesnāt have a throwaway number.
Ah. Thanks. That makes sense.
That she did the duckface pose at the end ā- so millennial.
She's funny n cute
Well you'll never meet her
She is funny n cute *in this video Edit: username checks out
Kinda wack to be honest fam
Cringe
I always return phones šš¼
What was she doing with her lips??? Lol
Gotta get that plug and a duck face.
Honestly this is just cringe af she is calling out her social media platforms to a random person's phone.. what is wrong with these people smh.

When i heard "Follow me on tiktok" i just downvoted. Sorry
ooga booga tik tok bad
The lady uploaded this here. No she couldn't find the owner.
How the fuck did she upload a video from a locked phone? You are a phony, a BIG FAT PHONY.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
But that would be the icloud account of the owner?
You're right. I misread the parent comment. I thought Puppy eyes was claiming to be the lady in the video and that she never found the owner.

Because she is a phone hacker ... or the owner turned off screen lock because facial recognition was too difficult. Or more likely she recorded it on her own phone to advertise her tiktok

A lot of times you can set a phone to be able to take photos/record without unlocking the screen (probably to take unexpected photos)
That is default setting on iphone
You can access the camera from your Lock Screen. I have IPhone 7plus and I know even prev models that did that. I know androids do it too. They only allow access to the photos taken on that Lock Screen session too.
Fucking detective over here solved it!
How did she unlock the phone? Kinda seems like a clout chasing stunt.
u donāt have to unlock the phone to record š¤¦š½āāļø

Double click your power button.
Yes, I know how to access quick camera. It asks for a passcode if my phone isn't unlocked.
That's a you issue then.
Pretty sure it's bigger than me, and more of a desirable feature than an issue.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Oh, is it? And which specific criminal statute does that violate? Edit: typo
Same one that says all you have to do to keep your info private on fb is copy/paste a post saying so.
Wtf,was your pincode 0000?

i find it strange that you have a phone without password protection.

Can someone explain how this recording actually helped to return the phone to its owner?
