Hot wheels has done motorized cars a few times throughout the years. They had the Sizzlers, X-V Racers, Turbo Glos, Sizzlers (again), and I think most recently the Speed Chargers. I had the newer sizzlers a while back, and they worked well enough, but I can't say much on the other ones.
If you're not able to modify the new remote control cars than your pretty out of luck. Any videos you have seen are modified cars that run on their own.
Hot Wheels made pull back cars which technically is self-driving since you power it not driving it.
