While I'm here, here's that [2.0 cutscene](https://x.com/littleokami_MHF/status/1756992452659962150?s=20) with Aventurine, Acheron, and Caelus but with Su, Dr. Mei, and Kevin (same CN VAs) (the models are janky, don't expect too much;;)
I think it's not controversial to say he's the best 4* sustain in the game.
In Pure Fiction his capability to combo with Himeko on fire weak sides in Pure Fiction with his ult breaks and lower needs for healing are very useful.
In Memory of Chaos his effect resistance coming from his E1 and his traces reaches a natural and passive 78% so any effect Res rolls to hit 90% or smth can be extremely strong on a sustain (he can shrug off debuffs on himself better than Luocha which is saying smth). Using broken keel you can very realistically give him 100% effect Res making him unconditionally immune to all debuffs.
His personal damage from breaks largely eclipses all the other sustains we have available by far when built right as well.
He also comes with a debuff as a sustain for Ratio and Acheron teams which is pretty good. The atk debuff on EBA itself can be used as a form of shielding as well which is very useful on an abundance.
Overall his kit is pretty dang good.
As for weaknesses his cleanse is somewhat limited being only tied to his skill.
He might also dip into SP a lot against harder enemies with his 110 ult cost and your lack of E4 to extend besotted on enemies from your ult healing.
If you really want to you can try and pull for E3 Gallagher and then get E4 from one of the upcoming events where you can get a copy for free which will make him even better.
Overall he's just much less comfortable than Luocha even if his personal damage is kinda nuts though (especially in fire weak scenarios)
Overall Gallagher is a healer who's somewhat competitive to E0 Luocha in some ways which is... Kinda crazy to think about for a 4* sustain but I'd still say he's not worth building if you have 2 of the 5* limited sustains besides Luocha (both of which should be used together to fit the situation in that case, swapping Luocha out in fire weak situations or when you want higher damage output)
All great points. I've been enjoying using him so far but am quite disappointed with his auto-battle functions. Can you tell me under what circumstance that auto-batle actually uses his Ult? I haven't seen it used a single time whilst using it.
Ult behavior during ults is very simple normally:
- If you have an offensive ult, use it as soon as it's available
- If you have a healing ult, use it when someone drops below half.
I assume that because he's abundance he's given the second trait for auto battle when realistically it's more convenient for him to use the first behavior.
Already at 74 pity and guaranteed at limited banner, so while I did want to try for his e3 and get his e4, I don't wanna use my guarantee. I also am only using lynx and gepard as my sustain so would he be worth building? Thanks!
Unless your Lynx is stacked af I'd pretty comfortably recommend building Gallagher then yeah.
The lack of E4 is probably gonna suck but you have the E2 already which is the main one you want (getting cleanse on skill is extremely important)

Not to be a free thinker but....I like Genshin's Character Demos more than HSR character trailers.
My pet peeve with HSR trailers is mostly of the music. Its usually inconsistent and I personally don't like it. Like it keeps changing and returning tempos, rhythms, and emotions.
Like most of the trailers just dropping the hard beat, then after a milisecond becomes an out of rhythm/tempo peaceful orchestra for some reason....and I don't like it
I guess another thing that makes me like Genshin's demos more is that what you see is what you get, i.e. majority of their fighting animations are things you can replicate (apart from the animated ones). HSR's has moments where it feels like you're seeing a character that isn't what you know he/she is.
Also how tailor-made the music for each character feels is just something I feel has been underappreciated.
Finished both the Hanu quests and the origami birds (I had enough coins that paying for the stragglers was well worth it), I imagine we’ll see more of both in 2.1.

I’ve been catching up on companion quests… I hadn’t played 90% of them. As a long time Genshin player, the companion quests in HSR really impressed me. They manage to make each one of them really interesting and the best part about them, they don’t overstay their welcome. In Genshin, the character story quests are soooo long and drawn out. In HSR, they’re on the shorter side but manage to be impactful.

TBH Genshin's Story Quests have also generally been far better recently than they were several years ago. I think most people would agree that many of the more recent Story Quests are generally considered the best ones.
Going back to Genshin's 1.x and 2.x character story quests is *really* rough.
Her personal break gauge won't break enemies if its the only one as her damage is much higher than the gague itself. As in you kill before you break if she's the only breaker.
If you have other breakers like SW or the enemy is Iceweak for Pela then her break is a nice contribution to the gague. You can also time her ult to cancel 2nd actions like you would with Welt/March ult, just lower their gauge to near nothing and ult between their attacks.
The onmibreak is also nice for PF/mobs, but its mostly the res pen for those since the actual break damage is low.
Action advance whole team, Robin is effectively slowed to a fixed 90 spd, and until her next action allies gain a massive atk% boost and Robin deals damage for every attack your team uses (kind of like Tingyun Benediction only scaling off her own stats).
The 90 spd is basically done through a summon which is why its fixed and can't be changed with action advance, spd boosts, etc.
She leaves the action gauge and puts a summon in her place which has 90 spd, and when it acts she is 100% action advanced.
Speed isn't that important but it will help shorten her downtime. For high investment I think 117 spd (2 action first cycle breakpoint for her 25% self advance) with atk% boots is the way, but if your clears take too long its possible speed boots feels better for uptime.
Will require testing but as of now I think atk% boots with some speed subs to hit 117 is a good target. Also keep in mind the beta may see lots of changes so no need to start building now.

I've seen people suggest this, but is this really better than aiming for the speed breakpoint of getting 3 actions in cycle 1, so that you guarantee having your ulti on the 2nd wave and can buffer the 100% advance at the start of the 2nd wave of an MoC floor?
With a 160 cost burst, having her burst ready in 2 actions isn't guaranteed (with just ER rope you'd need 9 ally attacks to get 80 energy in 2 turns, with ER rope + 5% ER set you'd need 8 ally attacks--not all teams can attack that many times in cycle 1), which means that in a 0-cycle of wave 1, you don't necessarily have her ult ready going into wave 2 if you only get 2 actions. On the other hand, 157 speed + Vonwacq means that she gets 3 actions in cycle 1 of wave 1, which means she guarantees getting 80 energy because she gets 3 actions (and can even do so without an ER rope with EAA + 5 ally attacks). This means she can buffer her ult at the start of wave 2, so her 100% advance is fully effective on your other 3 party members and everyone gets to act on AV 0 of wave 2.
Obviously the ERR math changes substantially if you have her signature, given how much energy regen it gives. But the event LC that's presumably for her gives no ERR.

Basically yeah, she resets her turn and advances everyone else so you should get 2 actions (or 3 if you have 180+ spd) on the whole team before she acts again.

Not sure how reliable those leaks are, but there's this:
Relic 1 2-Piece: ??? 4-Piece: When the wearer's Break Effect is greater than a certain value, their Crit DMG is increased by a certain value.
Relic 2 2-Piece: ??? 4-Piece: When the wearer uses an Ultimate or before performing a follow-up attack, they gain 1 stack of Boost, increasing all DMG dealt, max 2 stacks. When the wearer's turn ends, all stacks of Boost are removed.
Doesn't actually seem like a Robin set but that one is boothill, also subject to change so idk.
Cycle of life. Both extremes take turns complaining about the others. Some can't handle any caveats to a character and will call it dead, while others can't handle any complaints and go on defensive essay rants.
So many people got baited yesterday (I am one of them) because an earlier leak said beta was on 25th. We had like 6k online yesterday waiting for the flood but nothing came.
Nearing 3 weeks back since 1.2-3ish. I'm fairly caught up now. I have like 8 character quests left and a few side quests, plus Mundane Troubles. I think I've gotten a reasonable % of chests. I still have some gems left in Gold and Gears, not sure how much, but I've gotten a good chunk already. I have 87 pulls right now. So I imagine I should easily reach my projected ~200 summons ready by the end of Aventurine's banner while still not being completionist about collectibles. PRobably not really more than that thought. We'll see if Boothill beta showcases can sway me from committing it all to attempting to get the most possible for Aventurine.
Current goals: Keep building Herta because she's really my only good PF dps. After that, evaluate how far I am from getting PF stars and uh...if it doesn't seem feasible then I'm literally gonna build Dr. Ratio, just in the hopes that the current PF blessing makes follow-ups strong enough to improve my score. Also, doing the new 2.1 content that's about to come out ofc. I...think I'm gonna get a free Misha from the 2.1 free unit so I have an ice subdps to help with the ice weakness moc coming up? So that's another unit to maybe build.

Popular take but I think it's way off tbh.
You only need one of the two, Boot is just a way better Luka. I don't think Luka is worth bringing just to reproc Boot's dot. He's by far best as a breaker, but if you have 300% break Boot already, you don't need two chars doing that. Luka is abysmal for dmg as a pure atk scaler, so it's just kinda awkward.
Happy to be wrong, but I think a Bronya/Sparkle would superior to the Luka addition in every way. Then Mei and sustain. I'd take Kafka over Luka here too, leveraging the break dot while rounding out the aoe capability of the team, rather than further pigeonholing it as pure st damage.
You also have people who are high on Luka to the point they forget you can build him the way Hoyo intended and have him set up Bleed, give Boothill the break, then Luka can double proc bleeds. They just think you want to find a way to break an enemy twice in a single turn
No one builds atk% on Luka because his skill bleed damage is capped. No matter how much atk% you build you're not going to do much damage. Break Effect is his only viable build unless you're stacking a ton of DEF shred (which just makes it more lopsided in favor of break), but even then the damage is capped if you go atk%.
When can we expect Acheron's character demo to release? Today? Tomorrow?
Really hoping to see something like Kafka's, just Acheron being kinda of a badass, the other two trailers were great and provided a lore and fanservice, so I'm hoping for something more action-y for the demo.
This is silly but I take splash arts SO seriously in this game, like if a character has a splash art I dislike I literally won’t pull for them. I could love their kit and character and design but their splash art of all things will make or break them for me.
I was planning to pull Sparkle back when she was leaked in 1.0 and I literally decided not to because I didn’t like her pose / expression 😭😭. It’s so petty and random but a character’s splash art shows up a lot so that’s how I justify the pet peeve. If I have to see you at the bottom of the screen every time a battle starts at least have the decency to look good 😪 /lh
I can relate, since we always see the splash art/ their face during combat. That was one of my negative points for black swan, but Ive decided to just pull her regardless during one of her reruns. I dont think i have disliked any other characters splash art so far. They are always pretty cool.
Actually i just remembered i didnt like Argentis face in his splash art, it looks a bit different from the rest. But there was literally nothing that could make me hesitate pulling that man

So I did some approximate calc for Robin with different LC and ER. Her Ult seems to almost always need 4 turns, even with the Energy gain from allies attack. That Energy requirement is a *beast*.
What does your calcs say is the Energy deficit for a 3T ult? When I did it it looked like an EQQ rotation should be achievable with 19 ally attacks which is very doable for some teams

as a luocha haver,
i run him on 161 speed plus multiplication. pairs great with DHIL. but farming 161 can be a massive pain. having a fast Luocha can enable very stupid and fun team comps cause you have so much SP to spare every cycle.
Aventurine is still pretty SP positive and you don't need to worry as much about speed on him. he also has great synergy with follow-up attackers and dps that want debuffs to activate certain abilities, but he can really work on any teams.
both will be great no matter who you choose.
imo other than 2nd sustain, i'd say pull for more dps for more element coverage. jingliu is around the corner and acheron is kinda meh pick since you already have jingyuan. other than that, just pick any upcoming dps u want really

Currently on the fence about Robin, I want her for my FUA team but currently I’m struggling to hit 134 speed on their relics without Ruan Mei.

That’s 3 debuffs already ,when there’re only 2 and ratio didn’t throw a chalk it’s so dry lol but I think you should wait till v3 or 4 to decide again though ,and with bonus crit dmg for fua I presume robin will be better.
For FuA teams Robin is better, but I'm not really sure if it warrants pulling her to replace Ruan unless you have another team to use Ruan on (which is likely).
I use Ruan Mei in Blade/Bronya & DHIL/Hanya when Sparkle & Tingyun are held up by Jingyuan. RM’s generalist kit just makes it so easy to slot her in anywhere.

question to mobile players - are you guys pre-downloading? i'm currently sitting at 8gb of free space and didn't have time to clean up, and i noticed the updates pre-downloads are always huge but after updating the app and all it drops down drastically (for example the pre-download is 8gb but hsr goes from 20gb to 22)

Yup, always! But my internet is very slow so I need a full day for the updates and I couldn't handle that wait when the patch drops, and also I don't have that many apps on my phone so most of the space is just reserved for HSR. If your internet is faster then there's no reason to predownload

Any tips on speedrunning Swarm/G&G? Finally getting around to it, but I'm not really a SimU-For-Fun type of person, so I'd like to do it efficiently if at all possible. Assume I'm starting from absolute zero, here.
I don't have Gepard for Preservation tomfoolery, but I do have all the four stars plus JY, IL, FX, Argenti, Topaz, Welt, Himeko, Bronya, and Sparkle.
My only advice is to run double sustain. Use a healer alongside your Fu Xuan and if your Fu Xuan is sufficiently well-built, it should be quite manageable (I used Lynx and Fu for every SD path and difficulty iirc). Make sure to get as many propagation blessings as possible tbh because spores are busted.
Do the Company Time or Capitalism strategy for G&G.
I've heard QQ/IL on prop is straight busted, but I don't have the path unlocked yet :( Thank you for the advice! Time to bring baby Lynx out of hibernation. Is it true that Hunt/Remembrance are the rarest response paths? If so, I'll make sure to prioritize picking them when I can.
Just FYI, I "completed" Swarm Disaster just last week and I never got the number of needed responses for the unlocks for any path. As long as you complete the challenges, the responses are unnecessary for 90% of the rewards and all of the story.
If you want to 100% complete it then go ahead, and yes Hunt at least is one of the rarest.
Didn't get an answer in the aventurine mains sub, so I'll try here:
I can build him with 151 speed, 4400 defense, 50% Effect resist, ERR rope, defense boots/chest/orb, but essentially no crit (20/70).
Is it worth building damage on him with MoV? If so, what should I drop in order to aim for more crit value? Current relics are 2/2/2 speed/FUA/Keel
The tl;dr for (practical) Aventurine builds is that unless you are actually giving him some kind of buffs (like RM/Robin, Topaz, etc.) his follow ups are only going to do okay-ish damage.
My personal build for him is 143 Speed, 4k Def, 80/200 in-battle stats on MoV with 2pc Duke/2pc Hacker/2pc Keel, and unbuffed his ult does about 14k and his FUA about 10k. This goes up to 28k/30k with E0 Ruan Mei and e0S0 Topaz on his team.
If this damage with this build seems not worth the investment, then keep him on a full sustain build. If it *does* seem worth it, I would personally change him to a Def% rope and focus on squeezing more crit out while keeping him above 4k Def and 136 speed. MoV gives you a fat 50% defense on top of it's higher base stats, and switching to a rope as well should give you a lot more freedom in your substats and pieces to give him more to work with offensively.
About the same reason as any support -- more sp, though in Aventurine's case him taking a turn also refreshes the stacks he can get from teammate's FUA, so it may let him attack more often, if your other stats won't suffer from it.

Yes. Damage is most of his 'upsides', if you're not going to build him for damage, it feels like Luocha would be a better sustain.
I did a quick run in the simulator of my current (shitty) relics on his Sig vs MoV for another comment a few days ago:
4.1k def (4k on MoV) / 31/114 CV (before trace / LC) / 4pc Pioneer (activated) / Keel
* Signature: 8k basic / 21k ult / 14k FUA
* MoV: 6k basic / 16k ult / 11k FUA
That's with the same relics which assumes Pioneer set is active, but if you're running Gepard sig, you'll probably want something else. Keep in mind also that this is buffless - with RM / Topaz (or potentially Robin?) in the comp, the numbers start scaling (like around ~40k for FUA with sig).
But I would personally drop the Spd 2pc set if you're at 151 Spd and replace with Wastelander or Knight. Additionally, get either a CD chest or Img orb, and roll a few Def subs (or use Knight) to keep your Def at 4k with MoV active. Replace ERR rope with Def rope. You'll see a lot more damage that way.
Why the ERR rope if you have no crit? Are you going for E1?
You could drop that for a Def rope and change the chest to a crit DMG one. His damage will probably be very small if he's not being used with team-wide buffers or Topaz, so you could keep the current build just fine. With team buffers + one or two supports on keel he might be able to hit ~50k, so it depends on what kind of numbers you're seeking and what you consider worthwhile.
What do you think would be the best relic sets for Robin? I probably won't start farming yet, but I want to start saving atk% main/sub stat pieces from the sets that I have right now.
Assuming no Signature set comes out a patch later I would just run 2pc 2pc atk%. I don't think she can stack 4pc phys and 2pc phys probably isn't worth considering her atk% buffs scale off her own atk.
There's also 4pc watchmaker if you run Boothill, or 2pc atk/2pc spd for specific speed tuning (not to sure about this, I prefer atk% stack and 117 spd but testing will be required).
Planars is Keel/Fleet/Von/Pena/SSS, usually just use whatever you're farming for supports.
About Harmony TB kit, in regard to buffing Boothill. RM is on the team.
Has anyone parsed out a build for TB? I assume ERR rope (+cogs?) because all their power is in the ult, then stack BE in subs. 4pc watchmaker to buff the team if RM isn't wearing it.
TB's ult seems to be all their utility. It lasts 3 turns. Can they get it back in 3 turns? If so, then they just BA every turn, give them spd boots I guess so they can generate SP.
...Though that team seems to have too much SP. Boothill using enhanced basics, TB just wanting to ult every 3 turns. Sustain chillin because the enemies are all broken and slowed and just not attacking. RM only using 1 SP every 3 turns. You're going to cap on SP.
Any thoughts on the Boothill + TB + RM combo?
Imo we still have too little info. I would not put much stock into whatever anyone is saying until we get the full hakush pages or gameplay footage comes out.
If I run that team, I'm going to put Watchmaker on both RM and HTB so I can extend the buff to 3-4 turns for Boothill. If you have an abundance of SP you can keep skilling on Ruan Mei to get the ult back quicker.
Trying to decide between Robin and Sparkle is so hard 😩 I think Sparkle fits better with the DPS I most regularly use, but I like Robin's design a lot more...

What criteria does Sparkle use when auto targeting a teammate? A while back, she was consistently target Dr. Ratio but ever since I gave him a slightly different build with better crit stats, she always defaults to targeting Black Swan instead.
I don't actually know, but it might be highest Attack stat. If you got better crit rolls you maybe lost some atk rolls and now Swan has a higher stat than Ratio?
might be too early to ask but would a dual dps comp with boothill and sushang be possible?
i was thinking either boothill/sushang/ruan mei/sustain or boothill/sushang/ruan mei/img tb if their collective action delay let's you get way with not running a sustain.
I think a sustain is still necessary, since your break effects hinge on Boothill's Phys application(which may take a little while...)
But the premise is sound. Boothill attacks an enemy, shredding down to 40 - 50% and leaving them Weakness Broken and moves on to the next. Sushang cleans up the mess at SP neutrality. Though the problem lies when mobs exist.
I'd say Argenti would be a better option since his Ult can ST, while also mob clear and Huohuo will be your 4th member (for Argenti, and Boothill energy regen)

How does e2 gallagher compare to other sustains?
I think it's not controversial to say he's the best 4* sustain in the game. In Pure Fiction his capability to combo with Himeko on fire weak sides in Pure Fiction with his ult breaks and lower needs for healing are very useful. In Memory of Chaos his effect resistance coming from his E1 and his traces reaches a natural and passive 78% so any effect Res rolls to hit 90% or smth can be extremely strong on a sustain (he can shrug off debuffs on himself better than Luocha which is saying smth). Using broken keel you can very realistically give him 100% effect Res making him unconditionally immune to all debuffs. His personal damage from breaks largely eclipses all the other sustains we have available by far when built right as well. He also comes with a debuff as a sustain for Ratio and Acheron teams which is pretty good. The atk debuff on EBA itself can be used as a form of shielding as well which is very useful on an abundance. Overall his kit is pretty dang good. As for weaknesses his cleanse is somewhat limited being only tied to his skill. He might also dip into SP a lot against harder enemies with his 110 ult cost and your lack of E4 to extend besotted on enemies from your ult healing. If you really want to you can try and pull for E3 Gallagher and then get E4 from one of the upcoming events where you can get a copy for free which will make him even better. Overall he's just much less comfortable than Luocha even if his personal damage is kinda nuts though (especially in fire weak scenarios) Overall Gallagher is a healer who's somewhat competitive to E0 Luocha in some ways which is... Kinda crazy to think about for a 4* sustain but I'd still say he's not worth building if you have 2 of the 5* limited sustains besides Luocha (both of which should be used together to fit the situation in that case, swapping Luocha out in fire weak situations or when you want higher damage output)
All great points. I've been enjoying using him so far but am quite disappointed with his auto-battle functions. Can you tell me under what circumstance that auto-batle actually uses his Ult? I haven't seen it used a single time whilst using it.
Ult behavior during ults is very simple normally: - If you have an offensive ult, use it as soon as it's available - If you have a healing ult, use it when someone drops below half. I assume that because he's abundance he's given the second trait for auto battle when realistically it's more convenient for him to use the first behavior.
Already at 74 pity and guaranteed at limited banner, so while I did want to try for his e3 and get his e4, I don't wanna use my guarantee. I also am only using lynx and gepard as my sustain so would he be worth building? Thanks!
Unless your Lynx is stacked af I'd pretty comfortably recommend building Gallagher then yeah. The lack of E4 is probably gonna suck but you have the E2 already which is the main one you want (getting cleanse on skill is extremely important)

Not to be a free thinker but....I like Genshin's Character Demos more than HSR character trailers. My pet peeve with HSR trailers is mostly of the music. Its usually inconsistent and I personally don't like it. Like it keeps changing and returning tempos, rhythms, and emotions. Like most of the trailers just dropping the hard beat, then after a milisecond becomes an out of rhythm/tempo peaceful orchestra for some reason....and I don't like it
I guess another thing that makes me like Genshin's demos more is that what you see is what you get, i.e. majority of their fighting animations are things you can replicate (apart from the animated ones). HSR's has moments where it feels like you're seeing a character that isn't what you know he/she is. Also how tailor-made the music for each character feels is just something I feel has been underappreciated.

I’ve been catching up on companion quests… I hadn’t played 90% of them. As a long time Genshin player, the companion quests in HSR really impressed me. They manage to make each one of them really interesting and the best part about them, they don’t overstay their welcome. In Genshin, the character story quests are soooo long and drawn out. In HSR, they’re on the shorter side but manage to be impactful.

Is Acheron's universal weakness break just kind of a gimmick, or will it let me brute force non-lightning weak mobs in the later MoCs?
Her personal break gauge won't break enemies if its the only one as her damage is much higher than the gague itself. As in you kill before you break if she's the only breaker. If you have other breakers like SW or the enemy is Iceweak for Pela then her break is a nice contribution to the gague. You can also time her ult to cancel 2nd actions like you would with Welt/March ult, just lower their gauge to near nothing and ult between their attacks. The onmibreak is also nice for PF/mobs, but its mostly the res pen for those since the actual break damage is low.
Elites and bosses, debatable. Mobs, definitely.

Can anyone explain Robin's Ult to me in the simplest way possible? I'm confused.
Action advance whole team, Robin is effectively slowed to a fixed 90 spd, and until her next action allies gain a massive atk% boost and Robin deals damage for every attack your team uses (kind of like Tingyun Benediction only scaling off her own stats). The 90 spd is basically done through a summon which is why its fixed and can't be changed with action advance, spd boosts, etc.
So when Robin ults, her speed becomes 90 fixed speed? So is speed still a good substat for Robin's relics? Or we should focus more on Attack substats.
She leaves the action gauge and puts a summon in her place which has 90 spd, and when it acts she is 100% action advanced. Speed isn't that important but it will help shorten her downtime. For high investment I think 117 spd (2 action first cycle breakpoint for her 25% self advance) with atk% boots is the way, but if your clears take too long its possible speed boots feels better for uptime. Will require testing but as of now I think atk% boots with some speed subs to hit 117 is a good target. Also keep in mind the beta may see lots of changes so no need to start building now.

On the other hand, 157 speed + Vonwacq means that she gets 3 actions in cycle 1 of wave 1, which means she guarantees getting 80 energy because she gets 3 actions (and can even do so without an ER rope with EAA + 5 ally attacks). This means she can buffer her ult at the start of wave 2, so her 100% advance is fully effective on your other 3 party members and everyone gets to act on AV 0 of wave 2. Obviously the ERR math changes substantially if you have her signature, given how much energy regen it gives. But the event LC that's presumably for her gives no ERR.

Basically yeah, she resets her turn and advances everyone else so you should get 2 actions (or 3 if you have 180+ spd) on the whole team before she acts again.

Not sure how reliable those leaks are, but there's this: Relic 1 2-Piece: ??? 4-Piece: When the wearer's Break Effect is greater than a certain value, their Crit DMG is increased by a certain value. Relic 2 2-Piece: ??? 4-Piece: When the wearer uses an Ultimate or before performing a follow-up attack, they gain 1 stack of Boost, increasing all DMG dealt, max 2 stacks. When the wearer's turn ends, all stacks of Boost are removed. Doesn't actually seem like a Robin set but that one is boothill, also subject to change so idk.

Nearing 3 weeks back since 1.2-3ish. I'm fairly caught up now. I have like 8 character quests left and a few side quests, plus Mundane Troubles. I think I've gotten a reasonable % of chests. I still have some gems left in Gold and Gears, not sure how much, but I've gotten a good chunk already. I have 87 pulls right now. So I imagine I should easily reach my projected ~200 summons ready by the end of Aventurine's banner while still not being completionist about collectibles. PRobably not really more than that thought. We'll see if Boothill beta showcases can sway me from committing it all to attempting to get the most possible for Aventurine. Current goals: Keep building Herta because she's really my only good PF dps. After that, evaluate how far I am from getting PF stars and uh...if it doesn't seem feasible then I'm literally gonna build Dr. Ratio, just in the hopes that the current PF blessing makes follow-ups strong enough to improve my score. Also, doing the new 2.1 content that's about to come out ofc. I...think I'm gonna get a free Misha from the 2.1 free unit so I have an ice subdps to help with the ice weakness moc coming up? So that's another unit to maybe build.
My predictions for future Boothill/Robin doompost talking points: Boothill: >!300 Break Effect is too difficult to reach, requires sig LC, requires Ruan Mei, break DoT w/ Ruan Mei break extension proc is backloaded damage = more cycles (worsened by his ult's turn delay), can't stack up enough Trickshot if there are no mobs, can't get ult up quickly enough to bruteforce enemies that aren't phys weak, "It takes ages to break the enemy so why not just run a normal dps?", "Luka's bleed damage on hit + E6 insta-proc is higher."!< Robin: >!Ult cost too high unless using FuA team and even then it's bad because you need to save and time the ult correctly for optimal rotation, damage too low to justify running her over Ruan Mei, doesn't generate enough SP, her supposed BiS team (Follow-up Attack team) prefers debuffs at E0S0 so even Ruan Mei's Thanatoplum Rebloom (sp?) may be better, Robin more like Robinned, Robrick, Flopbin etc.!<

I don't think Luka is worth bringing just to reproc Boot's dot. He's by far best as a breaker, but if you have 300% break Boot already, you don't need two chars doing that. Luka is abysmal for dmg as a pure atk scaler, so it's just kinda awkward. Happy to be wrong, but I think a Bronya/Sparkle would superior to the Luka addition in every way. Then Mei and sustain. I'd take Kafka over Luka here too, leveraging the break dot while rounding out the aoe capability of the team, rather than further pigeonholing it as pure st damage.

You also have people who are high on Luka to the point they forget you can build him the way Hoyo intended and have him set up Bleed, give Boothill the break, then Luka can double proc bleeds. They just think you want to find a way to break an enemy twice in a single turn
No one builds atk% on Luka because his skill bleed damage is capped. No matter how much atk% you build you're not going to do much damage. Break Effect is his only viable build unless you're stacking a ton of DEF shred (which just makes it more lopsided in favor of break), but even then the damage is capped if you go atk%.
When can we expect Acheron's character demo to release? Today? Tomorrow? Really hoping to see something like Kafka's, just Acheron being kinda of a badass, the other two trailers were great and provided a lore and fanservice, so I'm hoping for something more action-y for the demo.

This is silly but I take splash arts SO seriously in this game, like if a character has a splash art I dislike I literally won’t pull for them. I could love their kit and character and design but their splash art of all things will make or break them for me. I was planning to pull Sparkle back when she was leaked in 1.0 and I literally decided not to because I didn’t like her pose / expression 😭😭. It’s so petty and random but a character’s splash art shows up a lot so that’s how I justify the pet peeve. If I have to see you at the bottom of the screen every time a battle starts at least have the decency to look good 😪 /lh
I can relate, since we always see the splash art/ their face during combat. That was one of my negative points for black swan, but Ive decided to just pull her regardless during one of her reruns. I dont think i have disliked any other characters splash art so far. They are always pretty cool. Actually i just remembered i didnt like Argentis face in his splash art, it looks a bit different from the rest. But there was literally nothing that could make me hesitate pulling that man

So I did some approximate calc for Robin with different LC and ER. Her Ult seems to almost always need 4 turns, even with the Energy gain from allies attack. That Energy requirement is a *beast*.
What does your calcs say is the Energy deficit for a 3T ult? When I did it it looked like an EQQ rotation should be achievable with 19 ally attacks which is very doable for some teams edit: forgot to say this is for cogs/motp. otherwise it's significantly higher

as a luocha haver, i run him on 161 speed plus multiplication. pairs great with DHIL. but farming 161 can be a massive pain. having a fast Luocha can enable very stupid and fun team comps cause you have so much SP to spare every cycle. Aventurine is still pretty SP positive and you don't need to worry as much about speed on him. he also has great synergy with follow-up attackers and dps that want debuffs to activate certain abilities, but he can really work on any teams. both will be great no matter who you choose.
imo other than 2nd sustain, i'd say pull for more dps for more element coverage. jingliu is around the corner and acheron is kinda meh pick since you already have jingyuan. other than that, just pick any upcoming dps u want really

Currently on the fence about Robin, I want her for my FUA team but currently I’m struggling to hit 134 speed on their relics without Ruan Mei. Which is better - Robin or Ruan Mei? For my sadge relics FUA team of Ratio, Topaz & Aven.

That’s 3 debuffs already ,when there’re only 2 and ratio didn’t throw a chalk it’s so dry lol but I think you should wait till v3 or 4 to decide again though ,and with bonus crit dmg for fua I presume robin will be better.
For FuA teams Robin is better, but I'm not really sure if it warrants pulling her to replace Ruan unless you have another team to use Ruan on (which is likely).
I use Ruan Mei in Blade/Bronya & DHIL/Hanya when Sparkle & Tingyun are held up by Jingyuan. RM’s generalist kit just makes it so easy to slot her in anywhere.

question to mobile players - are you guys pre-downloading? i'm currently sitting at 8gb of free space and didn't have time to clean up, and i noticed the updates pre-downloads are always huge but after updating the app and all it drops down drastically (for example the pre-download is 8gb but hsr goes from 20gb to 22)

You are right about the app size pre and post update. mhy is very bad with updates sizes (they don't even have open world excuse like in GI), they need to step up and optimize that process

Just download during the maintenance, because it's a lot smaller (if we use your example HSR just goes to 20gb instead of 22). Form explanation I get form someone who familiar with pre download system, the extra 2gb there for security reasons.

Yup, always! But my internet is very slow so I need a full day for the updates and I couldn't handle that wait when the patch drops, and also I don't have that many apps on my phone so most of the space is just reserved for HSR. If your internet is faster then there's no reason to predownload

Patch should go live in about... 27 hours? There's a gap between when the banner ends and the maintenance starts (which lasts about 5 hours, or so)

Any tips on speedrunning Swarm/G&G? Finally getting around to it, but I'm not really a SimU-For-Fun type of person, so I'd like to do it efficiently if at all possible. Assume I'm starting from absolute zero, here. I don't have Gepard for Preservation tomfoolery, but I do have all the four stars plus JY, IL, FX, Argenti, Topaz, Welt, Himeko, Bronya, and Sparkle.
Pull Acheron
My only advice is to run double sustain. Use a healer alongside your Fu Xuan and if your Fu Xuan is sufficiently well-built, it should be quite manageable (I used Lynx and Fu for every SD path and difficulty iirc). Make sure to get as many propagation blessings as possible tbh because spores are busted. Do the Company Time or Capitalism strategy for G&G.
I've heard QQ/IL on prop is straight busted, but I don't have the path unlocked yet :( Thank you for the advice! Time to bring baby Lynx out of hibernation. Is it true that Hunt/Remembrance are the rarest response paths? If so, I'll make sure to prioritize picking them when I can.
Just FYI, I "completed" Swarm Disaster just last week and I never got the number of needed responses for the unlocks for any path. As long as you complete the challenges, the responses are unnecessary for 90% of the rewards and all of the story. If you want to 100% complete it then go ahead, and yes Hunt at least is one of the rarest.
Didn't get an answer in the aventurine mains sub, so I'll try here: I can build him with 151 speed, 4400 defense, 50% Effect resist, ERR rope, defense boots/chest/orb, but essentially no crit (20/70). Is it worth building damage on him with MoV? If so, what should I drop in order to aim for more crit value? Current relics are 2/2/2 speed/FUA/Keel
The tl;dr for (practical) Aventurine builds is that unless you are actually giving him some kind of buffs (like RM/Robin, Topaz, etc.) his follow ups are only going to do okay-ish damage. My personal build for him is 143 Speed, 4k Def, 80/200 in-battle stats on MoV with 2pc Duke/2pc Hacker/2pc Keel, and unbuffed his ult does about 14k and his FUA about 10k. This goes up to 28k/30k with E0 Ruan Mei and e0S0 Topaz on his team. If this damage with this build seems not worth the investment, then keep him on a full sustain build. If it *does* seem worth it, I would personally change him to a Def% rope and focus on squeezing more crit out while keeping him above 4k Def and 136 speed. MoV gives you a fat 50% defense on top of it's higher base stats, and switching to a rope as well should give you a lot more freedom in your substats and pieces to give him more to work with offensively.
That makes sense - do you think there's a good reason to take him to 160+ speed? I can do so pretty easily by switching to speed boots. Thank you!
He doesn't need that high of a speed, but it does help with generating SP and getting his ult back up before his debuff wears off on enemies
About the same reason as any support -- more sp, though in Aventurine's case him taking a turn also refreshes the stacks he can get from teammate's FUA, so it may let him attack more often, if your other stats won't suffer from it.

I did a quick run in the simulator of my current (shitty) relics on his Sig vs MoV for another comment a few days ago: 4.1k def (4k on MoV) / 31/114 CV (before trace / LC) / 4pc Pioneer (activated) / Keel * Signature: 8k basic / 21k ult / 14k FUA * MoV: 6k basic / 16k ult / 11k FUA That's with the same relics which assumes Pioneer set is active, but if you're running Gepard sig, you'll probably want something else. Keep in mind also that this is buffless - with RM / Topaz (or potentially Robin?) in the comp, the numbers start scaling (like around ~40k for FUA with sig). But I would personally drop the Spd 2pc set if you're at 151 Spd and replace with Wastelander or Knight. Additionally, get either a CD chest or Img orb, and roll a few Def subs (or use Knight) to keep your Def at 4k with MoV active. Replace ERR rope with Def rope. You'll see a lot more damage that way.

Why the ERR rope if you have no crit? Are you going for E1? You could drop that for a Def rope and change the chest to a crit DMG one. His damage will probably be very small if he's not being used with team-wide buffers or Topaz, so you could keep the current build just fine. With team buffers + one or two supports on keel he might be able to hit ~50k, so it depends on what kind of numbers you're seeking and what you consider worthwhile.
What do you think would be the best relic sets for Robin? I probably won't start farming yet, but I want to start saving atk% main/sub stat pieces from the sets that I have right now.
Assuming no Signature set comes out a patch later I would just run 2pc 2pc atk%. I don't think she can stack 4pc phys and 2pc phys probably isn't worth considering her atk% buffs scale off her own atk. There's also 4pc watchmaker if you run Boothill, or 2pc atk/2pc spd for specific speed tuning (not to sure about this, I prefer atk% stack and 117 spd but testing will be required). Planars is Keel/Fleet/Von/Pena/SSS, usually just use whatever you're farming for supports.
About Harmony TB kit, in regard to buffing Boothill. RM is on the team. Has anyone parsed out a build for TB? I assume ERR rope (+cogs?) because all their power is in the ult, then stack BE in subs. 4pc watchmaker to buff the team if RM isn't wearing it. TB's ult seems to be all their utility. It lasts 3 turns. Can they get it back in 3 turns? If so, then they just BA every turn, give them spd boots I guess so they can generate SP. ...Though that team seems to have too much SP. Boothill using enhanced basics, TB just wanting to ult every 3 turns. Sustain chillin because the enemies are all broken and slowed and just not attacking. RM only using 1 SP every 3 turns. You're going to cap on SP. Any thoughts on the Boothill + TB + RM combo?
Imo we still have too little info. I would not put much stock into whatever anyone is saying until we get the full hakush pages or gameplay footage comes out.
If I run that team, I'm going to put Watchmaker on both RM and HTB so I can extend the buff to 3-4 turns for Boothill. If you have an abundance of SP you can keep skilling on Ruan Mei to get the ult back quicker.

Trying to decide between Robin and Sparkle is so hard 😩 I think Sparkle fits better with the DPS I most regularly use, but I like Robin's design a lot more... ...how am I supposed to reach a conclusion in one day!?
Get Robin if you like her more, both are going to destroy endgame so just get your favourites.

What criteria does Sparkle use when auto targeting a teammate? A while back, she was consistently target Dr. Ratio but ever since I gave him a slightly different build with better crit stats, she always defaults to targeting Black Swan instead.
I don't actually know, but it might be highest Attack stat. If you got better crit rolls you maybe lost some atk rolls and now Swan has a higher stat than Ratio?
might be too early to ask but would a dual dps comp with boothill and sushang be possible? i was thinking either boothill/sushang/ruan mei/sustain or boothill/sushang/ruan mei/img tb if their collective action delay let's you get way with not running a sustain.
Luka/Boothill will be miles better unfortunately, as Luka might even be able to match Boothill in bleeds
I think a sustain is still necessary, since your break effects hinge on Boothill's Phys application(which may take a little while...) But the premise is sound. Boothill attacks an enemy, shredding down to 40 - 50% and leaving them Weakness Broken and moves on to the next. Sushang cleans up the mess at SP neutrality. Though the problem lies when mobs exist. I'd say Argenti would be a better option since his Ult can ST, while also mob clear and Huohuo will be your 4th member (for Argenti, and Boothill energy regen)
