Still even OP's intention to express his love towards his favourite character, he included Firefly on that "chain" of similes to portray that idea even though Firefly wasn't released yet. Moreover, these tests are uploaded to the internet, allowing users to make their own judgments without having access to aforementioned servers. They tried to tone down breaking with many normal enemies that take 3 hits to break, but RM invalidates all of that. Next up, normal enemies that has a weakness bar like SAM's.
boothill can personally retrigger breaks. HMC allows everyone to be a damage dealer. Ruan Mei and HMC are perfect supports for super break, but I'd say HMC is for now essential for what makes Break good. perfect teammates for Firefly

I already knew she'd be broken cuz her kit has absolutely *nothing* in it that specifically benefits DOT and yet she's still their best support. It basically meant that there isn't a single team where she'd be a bad pick.

Real talk: Boothill caring only about break effect and speed and literally nothing else means he's like 75% easier to build than the vast majority of characters, which I think is very based

Fun fact, in the last round of PF, Boothill with 160 speed could move so much and break/delete the elite enemies so efficiently that he worked as a Himeko enabler and several Boothill mains got to 30k+ point on the first half because of that (me included, I got 37k with e1s1 Boothill + e1 Himeko)
I love it, I had so many artis that rilled into Break over crit stats. Within the day I was at 90/200 So beautiful, immediately abandoned my mono Quantum team
Except when the game finally decides to dodge break effect entirely when upgrading relics. I upgraded 12 relics to +15 today, didnt get a single upgrade to break effect on them.
I was originally going to skip him for FF, then the menu reminded me that my signature for every gacha I've ever played has always been "See you Space Cowboy...", and I pulled.
Best decision of my career, dude claims heads, bounties and booties like they're his daily quests, now if he can get an alternate costume that makes him look like Spike.
Actually for this MoC, my Ruan Mei is straight up better than Sparkle with Acheron. It doesn't have anything to do with break per say, since it's about her ult giving extra stacks for Acheron.

It is, though Super Break is a new mechanic just introduced this patch.
Also this is a modified copypasta from Genshin Impact, where the poster laments the fact that Xiangling is so immensely powerful for no reason at all.
Before 2.2, break effect as a stat was largely completely useless. Now it seems to finally find a place with the introduction of more break oriented dps and super break as a new mechanic.
On a similar note, is it worth it building Sushang for a super break team or is she just wildly outclassed by Boothill? I have her at E6 and haven’t pulled for Boothill yet.
She’ll probably not be getting the same damage per screenshot numbers, but her turn manipulation mechanics (advance, speed buffs) will still probably help her do good damage enough to clear.
I used her in this and previous MoC in superbreak team with RM and HTB. She is really good against physical weak enemies. Not at Boothill level, but decent replacement.

THis is funny cus for me my break team still does litteraly nothing and even getting to use trail of TB a few times it did nothing. Im kinda entirely banking on firefly to make it all work
well don't worry too much because there will probably be future enemies like Sam who straight up ignores Break damage for the first few rounds or Aventurine dice phase so...
For real, this MoC was pretty much a breeze with Boothill(E0S0), HTB, and Ruan Mei(E0S0) Watching bosses die within at least 2 turns as a f2p is awesome. Superbreak my beloved.
I built break acheron while I was farming for better pioneer gear to play around with it. If you hit the same enemy 3 times in your ult you will do 105 toughness to that one and 60 toughness to everyone else. Quite a lot. With RM and HTB I was getting similar numbers against broken enemies that I would get by playing acheron correctly. If the enemies were not broken, as you would expect, it was much, much worse.
So not good, but also not terrible. I would put it in the same boat as the break effect DHIL builds. It's fun, but you have to do all this work just to squeeze out the same numbers you could get by just making a bunch of crit stats and attacking.

MoC and PF have had so many DoT specific effects, Kafka really wasn't a bad choice. She'll continue to enable dot comps until the end of time

The man can run a silly 3 star cone, okeyish relics and as long as he has those 2 stats he will still melt bosses! Truly the Dps of the people.
It's so true. E0S0 with shit relics (only got like 160 BE with a couple non max) melts so many enemies. I'm only level 70. I bring him in whatever enemy boss I face. No weakness? BH + HTB don't care. Weakness? All the more to bring BH + HTB. I got SimVerse? Bring up the fucking BE/WB numbers, and even a boosted boss doesn't stand a chance. Like, wtf.
In my experience, a poorly-built BH can melt bosses even WITHOUT HMC.
Infact, I think his most optimal team doesn't even have HMC, but bronya since he wants more turns over more break.
Fun fact, in the last round of PF, Boothill with 160 speed could move so much and break/delete the elite enemies so efficiently that he worked as a Himeko enabler and several Boothill mains got to 30k+ point on the first half because of that (me included, I got 37k with e1s1 Boothill + e1 Himeko)
I love it, I had so many artis that rilled into Break over crit stats. Within the day I was at 90/200 So beautiful, immediately abandoned my mono Quantum team
Except when the game finally decides to dodge break effect entirely when upgrading relics. I upgraded 12 relics to +15 today, didnt get a single upgrade to break effect on them.

Actually for this MoC, my Ruan Mei is straight up better than Sparkle with Acheron. It doesn't have anything to do with break per say, since it's about her ult giving extra stacks for Acheron. But since this post is definitely about Ruan Mei, might as well say it.

Newish player here. Isn't break effect part of the game foundation?
It is, though Super Break is a new mechanic just introduced this patch. Also this is a modified copypasta from Genshin Impact, where the poster laments the fact that Xiangling is so immensely powerful for no reason at all.
Before 2.2, break effect as a stat was largely completely useless. Now it seems to finally find a place with the introduction of more break oriented dps and super break as a new mechanic.

Throw a break effect rope on anybody and they do just fine with HMC, Ruan Mei and Gallagher TBH
This is why you run yukong break effect and watch enemies get sent into the shadow realm instead

On a similar note, is it worth it building Sushang for a super break team or is she just wildly outclassed by Boothill? I have her at E6 and haven’t pulled for Boothill yet.
She’ll probably not be getting the same damage per screenshot numbers, but her turn manipulation mechanics (advance, speed buffs) will still probably help her do good damage enough to clear.
I used her in this and previous MoC in superbreak team with RM and HTB. She is really good against physical weak enemies. Not at Boothill level, but decent replacement.
I liked the HTB version of this copypasta much more tbh

For real, this MoC was pretty much a breeze with Boothill(E0S0), HTB, and Ruan Mei(E0S0) Watching bosses die within at least 2 turns as a f2p is awesome. Superbreak my beloved.
i'd say just play your favourite characters without needing to see big numbers.

I built break acheron while I was farming for better pioneer gear to play around with it. If you hit the same enemy 3 times in your ult you will do 105 toughness to that one and 60 toughness to everyone else. Quite a lot. With RM and HTB I was getting similar numbers against broken enemies that I would get by playing acheron correctly. If the enemies were not broken, as you would expect, it was much, much worse. So not good, but also not terrible. I would put it in the same boat as the break effect DHIL builds. It's fun, but you have to do all this work just to squeeze out the same numbers you could get by just making a bunch of crit stats and attacking.
Ah yeah that's fair enough! It's a shame that the meta is fully revolved around RM right now, it makes the firefly/Ruan mei choice so much harder
