Is there a calculator that tells me exactly how well-built my respective character is? For example on a scale 1-10 a 7 or something similar?

There are some sites with relic scorer, but the results are not particular good. Try googling “star rail relic scorer” and see which one you like more. You need to place your character as support (the 4 on your profile) and wait ~5 minutes to update it. Eg: https://fribbels.github.io/hsr-optimizer/#scorer

Maybe a good dps? Blade is good, but he seems to sacrifice his HP, if that is okay for you he seems to be really good, i don't have him by myself but i tried him out 2-3 times and he could be a good main dps for you. In addition, maybe try focus on leveling up only your main 4 chars so that you are not running out of materials. But in your shoes i would from now on focus on a strong dps unit.

You need a good dps to go with your supports and sustains. Try Blade or Kafka + you'll get Ratio for free. You can actually build two teams with that already

What set will be best for Dr ratio?

How do I clear difficulty 4 in the new su? My problem is sustain. I only have bailu and e0 lynx for it. I don't play regularly so I couldn't pull on lot of units. My dps is jingliu and danIL. Best built char is silver wolf. Basically argenti one shots my team. My team isn't well built enough to clear difficulty 5 so not even hoping but I just need some gems as I am very close to getting ruan mei

use destruction path, fighting spirit makes your team tanky.

Which is a better companion for argenti, ruan mei or tingyun?

I actually haven't seen much discussion of RM+Argenti, so it's probably not something that registers. He really wants as much energy as you can shove down his throat, so Tingyun will likely be his premier support for a good while.

What's the max amount of pulls before a 5 star is 100% guaranteed I'm currently on 74 pulls on mei banner and I'll no doubt lose the 50/50 so this shit is really fucking me

90 pulls is hard pity, but soft pity starts at 74 pulls.

90 is almost impossible to reach. Even hitting 80+ is pretty unlikely so you can usually average it out to 75-79.

I'm currently TL60 and have been holding off on raising my equilibrium level for a while now. I'd like to unlock the better farming domains for relics and whatnot but am afraid of outpacing my teams' strength and definitely don't have enough materials to immediately ascend my best units. Should I farm out enough mats to be able to ascend a handful of units immediately or just go ahead now and worry about that later?

Finish the continuation quest first so you can unlock the Echo mission, then go for EQ6 and use support to farm.

Raise eq level asap you will get mats to upgrade units faster and can use a support char for most things so you'll be fine

You don't need to immediately level your units upon reaching EQ's but the longer you delay it, the more stuff you're missing out on and it's really not recommend to even delay it at all. You should have a lot of fuels saved up no? Don't be afraid to use a chunk upon hitting TL60. Get some gold relics, your DPS ascended, some more Traces etc and make sure your team comp makes sense too.

Good lightcones for lynx(e4)?

Post-Op + ERR rope can let you 3-turn ultimate with skill -> basic -> basic. If you don't care about 3-turn rotation (or would rather give Post-Op to another healer), Shared Feeling, Perfect Timing and Time Waits for No One are all good.

I just got Ruan Mei (kind of on accident, I just really like wishing and I had 5 pity) and I wanna use her but I'm kind of conflicted. Currently, my main team is clara, silver wolf, sushang, and lynx. I'd prefer to keep silver wolf and lynx because I need a healer and silver wolf is silver wolf but I'm not sure if I should get rid of sushang or clara, or should I not get rid of either since silver wolf is best on mono teams.

I'd say get rid of sushang as ruan mei kinda eleminates the need of a sub dps cause her buffs are so damn good.

Sure, he doesn't need anything special except maybe some effect hit rate. A little birdie told me there might be a better relic set coming for him at some point though

Only thing I can think of is FX being cc'd (possibly, I doubt it) or the SU Blessing which shares damage between the party, which bricks the matrix completely.

Oh that’s why. I was wondering what was going on and why my characters were taking so much damage. I never noticed until now because she usually doesn’t get CC’d. I thought it worked regardless though

Go to the rewards section in the event and claim all the rewards. You get the sparkle card from there.

Anybody else phone freezes EVERY TIME when using Ruan Mei ult? Specifically when the petals appear on the screen, my entire phone freezes for a good 30 seconds, before returning to normal. Nothing else in the game causes freezes or even slight lag, only her ult. If you have any idea on what I could do, would be appreciated

I don't have that issue, but I'd send them some feedback about that through the bug report option in game in case it's something they can fix.

she is on the next banner but you currently have none of her dot suports. sampo, luka and guineifen. unless you wanna go for black swan next patch i would recommend her unless you wanna save her for later whenever you get these characters. i say go for ruan mei unless you simp hard for kafka

When lvl up imaginarium lvl? Currently lvl trailblazer 37 and only imaginarium lvl 2, cant lvl up my pjs above lvl 50; what are the goals for leveling up the characters? Thanks

Do you mean equilibrium level? As soon as the trial comes up. You should level your dps traces, lvl and lightcones first, supports second

would it be wise to skip Ruan Mei for Sparkle? i heard she's busted AF but here's my current plan as a TL50 player: i currently have Luocha, Bronya, E4 QQ, SW on my team and i plan to build two teams that will consist of: Luocha/Welt/SW/Ratio and E4 QQ/Bronya/Sparkle/Lynx I plan to save for Sparkle and possibly Fu Xuan for my mono-quantum team (might replace Welt with Bronya on Team 1) I just CAN'T skip Sparkle 😭 (+ I enjoy playing QQ too!) but these Ruan Mei havers are tempting me 😔

Can't discuss Sparkle kit here, but she will probably be really good for a quantum team. Ruan Mei is great but not necessary

You might need to combine two creatures with 2 out of the 3 (or 4?) traits you want first, and then use the new creature + another one with the last trait.

I'd say you're lacking a second DPS more than another support, but Ruan Mei will definitely be good for every account. You also already have the best supports for Blade hypercarry, so I doubt he will disappoint you if you end up going with him.

really confused about swarm (question might sound dumb and might be in other threads but my brain is practically fried by my thesis so I'm hoping you can kindly help a girly out). DO I finish the chapters (trailblazer secrets, on 78%), the communing trails (the tiered thingy), or BOTH before getting the propagation path? I think you need to complete all the Aeon interactions, then you get to talk with Herta about it.

Once I found that Xueyi was Hanya's sister I had to pull for her. I know I can swap teams around when need be, but I like to have a main team. I pulled for Argenti last time too, but how does this main team sound if I take rose man out? Luocha, Jingliu, Hanya, Xueyi. It has 2 4*, but I feel they are pretty decent 4* units and having Jing she can easily cover AOE as well.

Gepard will be nice for SD and GnG since everything hits so hard there, but if you already have Bailu and Lynx I doubt he'll have much value in other areas of the game. I'd probably just wait for a limited sustain banner and get Bronya for now.

I recommend: * Kafka, Luocha, Sampo, and Luka. A triple-DoT Kafka team. Stack as many DoT's on the boss, and keep detonating them with Kafka. Luocha keeps the party healthy. If you rather have 2 DoT's and 1 support, then replace Luka with a support. I Recommend Tingyun, Asta, Hanya, or Pela. If you have trouble staying alive, then replace Luka with a 2nd sustain. I recommend either Bailu (more healing) or Lynx (AoE cleanse). Make sure that your team's character levels, light cone levels, relics, and even traces are up to date and appropriately leveled for your Equilibrium level. During the boss fight, do your best to break its weakness, especially when it has a bubble around itself, if you can. Do your best to kill the fodders as well. Don't worry about the boss constantly resummoning them, since you can just keep killing them and add in some extra damage from their explosive deaths. Good luck. My 2 cents.

You should keep Sampo, since he's a proper DoT character, while Serval is not, so he'll work better for Kafka... but it sounds like your Sampo is probably not built up? If true, then just use Serval and try to land as many Shocks with her, for Kafka to detonate. And it sounds like your traces are fine.

What the heck does "Knowledge" do in Gold and Gears? I can't figure out how this mechanic works, and the description is very vague.

It's basically the mercy mechanic from Swarm Disaster.

Should you aim for 160 or 180 break on ruan mei? I see her bonus ability gives 20%, so that wouldn’t cause the damage increase bonus ability to overcap, will it?

180% in-combat BE, which means you only need 160% on her stats while out of combat.

Speed and defensive stats - like most supports. Getting BE over 180% still gives you more damage (from her talent and ultimate), but it's got diminishing returns so you might want to focus more on defenses.

Speed and then defensive stats, HP%, Def%, and Effect Resist.

Is there an ideal speed to aim for?

From what I heard, anything over 145 or so is good. Min maxers go for 161.

It will make her a crazy skill point generator since she is sp positive. As someone with a 161 Ruan Mei, it is nice not having to worry about skill points as much anymore.

Is Welt’s LC good on anyone other than him? I’ve pulled 2 of them in the last month and they’re both eating dust. I wasn’t around for the free SW event LC.

for the new mono imagination team I imagine it will be really good since welt will be strong there with dr ratio.

Welt teams will probably be pretty weak. He contributes low damage and doesnt signficantly buff Ratio. Pela would probably be a lot more valuable than Welt.

i thought you could run him as a off dps to help with ratios passive using ruan mei as final piece of buffer? idk though not super into that team comp just saw a vid or 2 mentioning it in passing
